Otherwise there’s also Moalboal with a permanent school of sardines, shitton of waterfalls nearby (including canyoning), and some hiking opportunities. Bantayan is also good.

All I can think of is tocino, tapa and longanisa which is probably every single foreigners introduction to flip food because they are the most common breakfast dishes.
Then spaghetti of course. Aside from that, I can’t really think of anything other than desserts(obviously) and occasional instances where sweetness is added, like pineapple juice in adobo which actually makes it quite better.
As for bread, you may have a point to some degree but first of all, why are you eating bread in Asia and second, some freshly baked pandesal sold in sari-sari can be really good, particularly if they have a slight crust and dusted with semolina.
In either case, I don’t think adding sugar to food is a Philippines-exclusive thing. Sugar is a very common ingredient in Thai and Chinese cooking, I think even Japan use sugar quite alot, though I do admit that sometimes the silog dishes mentioned first can occasionally be too sweet.
