Also curious about this. I want to visit the western part and go hiking in the Carpathians, specifically Hoverla. I want to know if it's safe and if it's practically easy to enter the country.

Western Ukraine is mostly safe and you can enter that easily from Polish and Slovak borders that being said bombings happen here and there

Double check the curfew times.
Entry is ezpz.
Western UA is safe. Chance of getting bombed = chance of getting knoifed in London.
Carpathians are nice.
Kyiv is even doable for /trv/. Bars are open etc.
