>>2884439 Every American city is >My town is soooo unique >If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes for it to change! >We have the craziest drivers! >We have this unique bar where you can drink BEER and play GAMES! >We have a carnival every year and it's not like anywhere else on earth! You have to try this thing called a "funnel cake"!
>>2884439 They have less Blacks. More blacks = more crime = more urban blight = less fun stuff to see and do down town = dead down towns = worse city. It really is that simple folks. https://www.reddit.com/r/SameGrassButGreener/comments/1f5xjw4/be_honest_is_boston_really_that_racist/
>>2884592 thats a relatively small amount of blacks for your average american. also they are only in the bad parts of town where there is no reason to go. the good parts of the city are very asian and jewish.
People who are actually from the handful of unique American cities are very proud and parochial but it’s the transplants who soijack over the place. Most residents of second tier cities are kind of ashamed but make up for it with sports fandom, bitching about traffic and perverse pride in what a shithole they’re living in. If they’re more liberal they’ll brag about the Olde Towne arts district or some museum while wishing they were in Brooklyn.
It’s a fucking shame. I feel bad for kids now. I lived in Jamaica Plain in the early-mid 90’s and it was awesome. Cheap to live, parties all the time, and there were tons of kids just goofing off and enjoying doing art and music and living in a city. That’s all gone now. Sad.
>>2884765 That's because America is a big country. Most foreigners want to know which part of America I live in. >>2884481 American landscaping mogs any place in the Third World; Americans spend more than most Thirdies earn just to make their properties look pretty. Most Third World cities are fucking ugly at street level or at best historically grimy, but they are much more full of life. American cities are only lively when they have a big downtown event and thousands of people are in the streets.
