Double trouble starring McKenna Grace and Angourie Rice. They are rivals at school with Angourie playing the boss bitch bully and McKenna plays a shy careful sweetheart.

After a terrible series of events including some aggressive bullying, McKenna gets lost in the woods and stumbles upon the mysterious alien technology that causes her to become gigantic. As a giant, she is very nervous about damaging anything. The affectionate neighbor boy helps conceal her, leading to some hilarity. Eventually the cops find out and McKenna has to flee. Recordings of her running end up on the news. Angourie sees this and gets very angry and jealous. She interrogates the neighbor boy and finds out where the alien technology is, which she uses it to make herself giant.

Giant Angourie starts to bully the townspeople, but she gets bored and decides to walk to the city where she can really be the center of attention. Let's say it's in California, so San Francisco can be the big city. Neighbor boy finds where giant McKenna is hiding and convinces her to come out and help deal with giant Angourie. They have a little kaiju battle in SF. In the midst of their battle, McKenna learns of the past drama that made Angourie hate her. They realize they don't really hate each other and decide to be friends. Then they have to deal with the US military who are threatening deadly force. With some swift action, they are able to flee the city and throw off the military just in time for neighbor boy to figure out how to work the alien tech to shrink them back down.
