This. Instead we got Netflix-tier “actually the real monster is ambition” slop and a victory lap for the most miserable family on television. Marty laundering cartel money for 4 seasons just to become a networking ghoul was the least cathartic ending possible.
They spent the whole show pretending actions have consequences and then hit us with the corporate LinkedIn finale. Ruth was the only one who felt like she belonged in that world and even her arc turned into shock value bait.
Ozark peaked when it was just Breaking Bad but blue. Once it tried to be prestige Shakespeare with droneshots it was over.
