Thread #219816720
anybody watching this? it's kind of very gay. Anonymous 04/17/26(Fri)17:27:47 No.219816720 [Reply]▶
Guy Richie (directed but not written, new Sherlock Show.) Nothing to do with his Sherlock movies and there is very little 'Sherlock'-ness in it. Its basically CW's Flash but in Victorian Oxford. He's not even particularly intelligent, He's just obtuse in a 'I'm handsome so I'm charming" kind of way. Also there is a Chinese princess / diplomat who knows martial arts and does flying kicks.
Dam its pretty bad and gay isn't it. but I love me some Sherlock Holmes and I really want some good media of it.

Yeah I just asked for a list of their best work and it's all slop
>The Boys
>Invincible
>Rings of Power
>Fallout
>Reacher
Bezos is a soulless husk of a billionaire and his streaming service reflects that. It's a shame he owns audible which is actually a pretty decent service.

Also this is such a shit title card design. our show is set in the prestigious Oxford university in Victorian, England. Lets spend 3 minutes designing it and make it grungy for no reason.
I will admit the opening credit sequence is pretty good

Had a promising start but it devolved into sloppy YA writing from the halfway point. Which is what the source was, I guess, so it's a faithful adaptation. I didn't like it but Babby's first Sherlock might be a good entry point for a young viewer.

I don't like me any Sherlock and I enjoyed the first episodes, but then I've remained indulgent towards Richie for the couple good flicks he made early on
Protag and irish cotag are not that gay, maybe you forget what it's like being a couple schoolboys constantly one upping each other
