10 years, maybe? I'm almost 40 and 10/10 times I'd rather watch a movie at home than go to the theatre. It isn't an experience that's worth the bullshit or money.

The creator of the show The Blacklist owns a theater in my town of 30,000. It’s $5 a ticket and serves food and alcohol and only shows older movies and it put the other theaters out of business. Every Halloween they show Rocky Horror Picture Show and it’s packed and every Christmas Eve they show Home Alone and It’s A Wonderful Life back to back and it’s packed. For a $15,000 donation you get your name on a star on the sidewalk in front of it like the walk of fame. It’s odd seeing it in my small town.

Who cares?
OLED TV, good headphones and a UHD player offers superior experience thoughbeit.
This is good news because it means studios will put more effort on physical media=collector autists like me will win

Scratch that, the HWoF wants almost six figures now. A few years back it was just 10k.
