>than fifty 7 feet dudes.
Just get fifty guys standing on crates and angle the camera up. They can even wear jeans from the waist down. Guys in the back can just have wigs and a little make up and you're good. The magic of movies is in the illusion.

What franchise is TLA?

I could give a fuck about the aesthetics.
In fact, I think they made a mistake taking Tatooine desert robes and making them the uniform of a Jedi knight. After they said "Jedi knight" back in '77, a lot of us were picturing something much more knightly.
Something like Vader's armor, but the Good Guy version. In some of those CGI cartoons they got Obi and Ani wearing a bit of armor here and there. That's closer to what I pictured as a child.

Someone needs to take that picture of Stalin erasing the officer next to him but make it Lucas erasing sequel characters.

wtf, this happened?
I don't know what to think. Getting rid of Kathleen Kennedy is an obvious net positive but I really dislike Filoni's hard-on for shit fanservice shows.

They just knew nobody would buy the mystery box if it there were a 1/3 chance of getting a sequel jersey

I find it insane they made a new trilogy without any kind of plan for what the story would be. Lets just make it up as we go from film to film

IIRC, what Luke wears in Jedi was supposed to resemble what they wore. Something between a Prussian military suit and Japanese robes. At the very least, their clothes were much finer than the bulky robes and coats.

Those movies were inspired by all sorts of things. Samurai, knights, WWII, westerns... It's what gave these movies such universal appeal. I highly recommend watching The Hidden Fortress--there's so much Star Wars in that movie. And not to give the prequels too much credit (they suck) but the story of Palpatine is basically Julius Caesar and the fall of the Roman Republic.
Now Star Wars movies are inspired by like, general Star Wars pop culture. Creators have been chasing a high they never understood. They've created copies of copies until there was only a faint outline left.

it is similar to those clips of AI trying to replicate a picture of a person repeatedly. mistakes are copied and more mistakes take shape around them. after 20 goes the original picture is completely gone.

Apparently that was Lucas goal but the artists on the production wanted the Jedi to just wear the same robes as in episode 4.

Mark Hamil himself suggested some kind of oriental inspired look. He even tried to get Lucas to have Luke shave his head or wear some kind if exotic hairstyle. Lucas didn't use that look for Luke, but it did become the padawan braid that Obiwan and later Anakin had in the prequels.

lol that's like the least cool thing he could have picked. I always associated it with the rat tails a lot of redneck kids had when I was in school at the time.

What point is this trying to make? All six movies are bad. Who cares what people spent more money on? Doesn't the OT still rank highest of the three anyway?

>and the Ewoks. It should've been the wookie home world
reddit opinion. the empire would have never placed their death star shield on the planet full of murderous bigfoots. the ewoks worked exactly because they were small and weak, which made the empire underestimate them. it's like poetry.

Unironically THIS might be the biggest thing to show someone if you want to deradicalize a person. The biggest film franchise in the world was given to the biggest film company in the world, and they just fucked around, and didn't plan any shit out. If you they can't even do that, then how in god's name can half of any conspiracy theory be true? There's no shadow cabal. World's just full of retards.

Episode 6 starts with Jabba’s palace, that giggling monkey lizard, slave Leia, the Rancor fight, and the fight over the Sarlac pit. It ends with the audience meeting the eponymous Emperor of the Empire (one of the best characters in the series), Luke finally beating Vader in a fight, Force Lightning use, and then Vader throwing the Emperor into the core of the Death Star to redeem himself and save his son. Episode 6 is iconic, Ewoks or no.
