What's your favorite comfy drinking movie? Mine's Sideways. This movie single-handedly killed the merlot market for nearly 2 decades.

I like usuals when I'm drunk. Bladerunner (1982) is also good. Tried the new Bladerunner when I was drunk but had to shut it off 20 minutes in. Think it was a scene with the lame ass bad guy and knowing Ford had a cameo later made me lose interest. I'd rather watch Drive.

It's an old man drinking movie.
And I get that I'm old.
I'm just not sure that is what OP was asking for.
>>219824251
OP are you asking for an elderly person's perspective on this, or a young one's?

If you're elderly give me the elderly position, then give me what you think the young one's is. If vice versa then vice versa.

When the FUCK is the spammer going to get dealt with?
The shit he spams daily:
-"m*torcycle cl*b aka MC content"
-screenshots of simpsons/family guy with his trigger phrases mspainted in
-jigs*w/saw movies (JigC)
<Note, hes obsessed with the "MC" threads and saw movieis, hence calling him JigC, along with AI images of jigs*w on a motorcycle)
-Obsession with hiding his filenames with a similar schema above (HomeR, ChapE, like "JigC")
-"baskin r*berts", a corruption of the ice-cream chain name. (constantly uses "erts" as a prefix)
-obsession with "tr*st f*nd b*nd", and calling people "fundies" (?)
-telling people to "cram"
-calling people "poofter"
-spamming yolandi/die antwoord/chappie
its gotten really fucking tiresome watching him post dozens of threads every day

What was his plight?

The scene where Miles is on the double date and as he progressively gets drunker you can see him become miserable and just wanting to call his ex while some other girl is so into him was so relatable. I blew so many opportunities with new women because I couldn’t get over my ex

>If audiences remember just one line from the movie, it’s this declaration from the main character, Miles—played by Paul Giamatti: “If anyone orders merlot, I'm leaving. I am NOT drinking any f***ing merlot!"
>As much as Miles claims to despise merlot, he adores pinot noir. He waxes poetic throughout the film about the variety, calling its flavors “the most haunting and brilliant and subtle and ancient on the planet.”
>In the movie’s aftermath, between 2005 and 2008, pinot noir sales surged 16 percent while merlot sales declined 2 percent.
>USDA figures show that merlot plantings in California declined 35 percent between 2004 and 2023. Meanwhile, pinot noir acreage almost doubled.
I watched this movie when I was a kid and after I turned 21 I only drink Pinot Noir wine. Shit’s expensive and I could have saved a lot of money if I hadn’t watched this movie.

I remember listening to comedians talking about this movie and how great it is but Joe List had a huge gripe with the moment where Jack says something like him needed to fuck someone and a random guy with his kid says “hey can you keep it down, pal?”
What a random ass thing to bother you about the movie. Made it seem like it was bad writing or something
