The dev was running it on a vps (read: super cheap, I am amazed that the site actually functioned considering there are thousands of players) that was at 50% cpu utilisation before the game released. This game hit number 1 in sales rank for the month so all the users probably ddosed the site into oblivion. Vps are a lot cheaper but they aren't elastic meaning that when you exceed capacity it will just die. Cloud you pay so that it will always scale to what you want but the price will be an insane premium. Dedicated servers are also fixed but more expensive than a vps and you get access to all of that box's resources.

I got the script working to transfer pngs into face paint but when I put the files into the ugc folder with the correct name it doesn't appear ingame ??? am i dumb. someone please make a video guide pls

0 and 1
0 is the active folder
1 is the backup folder
you need to paste it to both in the ugc folder because who tf knows what that weird emu will use on loading the game

then after saving, you delete the 0 folder, because the emulator is bugged and will write to the 1 folder. The reason is because you want to force the emulator to load the backup folder as the active save file
