I wont lie the game has very soulful graphics

it kept me entertained for an hour back in the day as a free rom download, never would I have paid any money for it but neither did I find it any better or worse than most other weird pinball video games I tried

only in recent years have I heard people saying it's the worst pinball game, or worst mario game, or just one of the worst games ever which has surprised me

For me? It's Metroid Prime Pinball.

I tried it out recently and it seemed fine? nice digitized graphics and a tactile material quality to the playfield. seems reasonable enough for a gimmick spinoff.

the plot of the game is that people voluntary turn themselves into balls for a circus attraction, including peach
but then 2 goombas redirect the cannon towards bowsers castle to capture peach
the game is just as retarded as the plot

Reminder that the devs who made mario and metroid pinball were working on a new pokemon pinball based on gen 4 around 05 and 06 but was cancelled after that. It was mentioned in the nintendo gigaleak but there was no screens or footage shown.

Yes. I bought it at a garage sale for $3 and it was too much, what a piece of shit game. 90% of hits just send you flying around in a circle to the opposite flipper, the tables fucking suck.
Thankfully that same sale also had Final Fantasy dawn of souls and Castlevania aria of sorrow for $3 each, so those games made up for it.

The game is horrible, and I only got it because Kirby's Pinball Land was decent, so I thought surely it must be solid it's mario, but no it's the most frustrating dogshit game. Ice physics and under water physics in a pinball game requiring pinpoint accuracy and shit like that
