I've said this before but I'd prefer them to have a selection of bands, the same as the ones that represent various song.
The bands swap out each week so you constantly have fresh faces and different personalities giving intros and each can get their own fanbase
Splatfests become a battle of the bands, with two of them choosing an opinion and the splatfest music becoming a mashup of the two groups songs.
It stops fests being predictable because people might like one person and always vote for them.
It also means going beyond the idol image, with characters that don't necessarily try to be perfect or stylish. Each one could have a visual style thats as different as their genres.

It's unfortunate that there's so much work put into all the fictional bands, but then they might as well not even exist within the game at all. I'd love for something like this, so they have much more of a presence. Imagine having a big stage and seeing C-Side battling Hightide Era. But it's still really good. For the genre of roguelites it honestly feels really unique and has several really good ideas to it. And the core gameplay is really satisfying, with Splatoon's satisfying movement and some genuinely strong missions and stages.

you all have such strong opinions about the games. I don't really think that splatoon 3 is worse at all compared to splatoon 1 and 2. What's the problem with splatoon 3's maps that make them significantly worse than the prior games because I don't really see that that's the case. I guess I can see when anons complain that the series has gotten stale, but what are they really supposed to do. There is already a huge variety of different weapon classes and specials. They did add a different game mode (I guess they should have added at least one more), but I don't really see what else they should change for the core gameplay without making it not splatoon anymore. The story mode was fine, though another level-based story mode would be tiring to be honest. They can't remove big run so I guess add another PvE mode ?
