It's missing some features present in Warband (like feasts, marriage ceremonies, more tangible effects on lord personalities, etc) but has many others (economic simulation, more complex sieges and tactical options, clans that e.g. allow player to die with heir taking over). You could say that it's lesser in terms of immersion (on that count Bannerlord has... regional games playable in taverns I guess?), and some of these feel like "why isn't this feature here?", but it has more features overall. Bannerlord has less features than many Warband mods, though.

No because I was just following along with an obvious joke.

Bannerlord is missing a couple of scene-based events where you walked around and talked to a few people.
Instead it has massively larger and complex battles that you have far more control over. Plus far more economic simulation making the entire overworld layer play far more dynamically.
The fact that retards have been harping on about it "having less features" for half a decade now is one of the most damning things about what this board's become.

My only legitimate complaints about Bannerlord are
>the prequel setting sucks ass, give me back my 15th century plate armor
>the retarded fucking turks keep pushing every minor fix and rebalance as an individual patch so modders can't release shit without something breaking

You play vanilla M&B then vanilla Warband. After that, you have a choice to make. Play Bannerlord while you're still capable of fully enjoying it, or get into Warband modding and completely ruin your expectations for the sequel.

The previous games have their own modding communities that are worth experiencing even if you prefer Bannerlord. Imagine being on the video games board and saying playing more video games is a waste of time...

unfortunately no, the recent update added dwaves and orks
they did mention they do plan on adding skaven down the line, but if it goes with the current development pace, then don't expect it sooner than in a year, or more likely 2 years

vanilla mountain blade a shit, warband is a direct improvement, and even then I wouldn't bother with vanilla. At the very least get start with a vanilla+ mod like diplomacy.
>>737122509
a tonne in Warband, yeah, but pretty much nothing in Bannerlord. The one in the OP - Old Realms is pretty much one of the only two. The other one is the Realm of Thrones. There's a bunch more in development, but it seem only these two are in a good state.

Probably my favorite from the pack. Even had it in my regular playlist.
I listened to this album a LOT while playing, after some STEPPE connoisseur posted about it. The upbeat tracks are amazing for mounted combat.

It's only missing feasts (people standing around doing nothing) that literally didn't matter and no one actually cared about. Bannerlord mechanical is far deeper even if the bullshit flavor of some events is gone.
I use flavor loosely because it was legit just NPCs standing around, most of the same events in bannerlord at least give you an animation. You just don't stand around with NPCs doing nothing.

I love the fact that the LotR mod actually has movie music. Nothing beats charging with this playing

Nah, Bannerlord just drops the ball on lord relations and personalities. Everyone feels the same, and losing the feasts also means losing another way of socializing (and breaking up a war). They fucked up courting as well, now it's just a persuasion check, the lady's family and their relation towards you don't matter, and nobody will ever challenge you to a duel over her hand. Worse still, Bannerlord fucked up the economy. Smithing completely obliterates it, and battle loot in general is just way too profitable compared to everything else.
But it does have superior battles, and that is what you'll be engaging in for 80% of the time, so it's not all bad.
Oh, and obviously there are the conversion mods. Warband has dozens of fantastic ones, bannerlord has a handful, and most if not all of them are in early access.

A lot of mods are just the same game but in a different setting, and sometimes some minor QoL features, but this one is pretty significantly different. Each faction has their own unique mechanics, and their own set of careers to choose from, which in turn have their own special ability, perks and sometimes unique units. Oh, and there's magic, guns and cannons.

Serious
The game actually has less features in many ways than it did on release, a lot of the advertised elements got dropped.
Lords don't rely on the same recruitment pool as you do anymore, torching lands and what not was actually a viable strategy but the AI was dogshit so they scrapped that sort of thing. There was also a persistent issue with no parties having enough food, which meant you could run around with food to feed 2000 people to make some serious fucking money feeding everyone else.

theres no real reason to play vanilla, warband is the same game with some additions
if you're interested in mods, warband is the way to go
for a vanilla experience theres no reason not to go with bannerlord. It's not a drastically different game but has a lot of great QOL when it comes to joining armies and sieges are improved

They would need to make Kislev then since it's in a way. And probably integrate Warsails. But yeah, it makes sense as another area to expand. I remember they used to have a mapped plan for expanding this mod all this time ago somewhere.
