I fucking hated the first game for putting such an atmosphere overtop of the some of the most basic city builder gameplay I've experienced.
Tell me how they managed to make the sequel even worse.

I'm actually looking at these, and I see everyone hating on 2 saying the first game is better, but looking at what they miss from the first game, the second actually appeals to me better. I like politics and managing larger cities, I'm kinda looking for a comfy city builder but it seems like these games aren't really comfy but leaning into stressful management which kind of puts me off both of them, but anyway.

If I never played any of them, but based on the description 2 appeals more to me, will I have fun with it?
