Combination of inexperienced voice actors and poor direction. The KH series just has really bad voice direction in general. The good performances are usually just because good talent can shine in spite of poor direction. It's really obvious in KH2 where have the infamously terrible performances like Mena Suvari as Aerith. But even some of the original Disney voices gave really poor performances in that game like Ming-Na Wen as Mulan and Linda Larkin as Jasmine were especially bad.

In many ways, KH4 has already been released.

Last week, I finally played Kingdom Hearts III. And honestly... what a letdown. The story tried to tie up years’ worth of plotlines from games I had nο connection with, and it did so in a messy way. The dialogue felt weak, and they completely left out all the Final Fantasy characters and the Coliseum. While the gameplay itself was fun, the story was incredibly convoluted—especially for a game aimed at kids

So the hood thing is showing how xion looks different depending on who looks at her. everytime roxas speaks to her in the scene she has her face showing, and when axel speaks to her her hood is down, showing how axel sees her as just another member of the organization. The scene ends with axel acknowledging xion as his friend who now has her hood down like roxas.
It kind of happens again at the later days when she starts to distance herself from roxas and axel and appears hood up

I assume now that memories of melody has a solid lead on Sora and they talked about informing everyone to leave the rest to Riku does that mean that Donald and Goofy have been Hades fleshlights for a year? They're the only two who seemed to be in immediate danger compared to everyone else, Terra, Aqua and Ventus have been in the dark realm for over a year, through time works differently there, Aqua was there for over 10 years yet she hadn't aged a day when she finally was pulled out, I assume the groups have some means of communication, they rag on Sora all the time for being reckless so surely before they all split off they had some way of contacting each other if they found leads or ended up in danger,right?

I think we are moving away from OCs with keyblades a little bit with Quadratum people so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesnt happen. But everyone had a keyblade at one point so maybe not

Riku's side seems rather simple so far, especially in terms of leveling. I'm guessing his story is overall shorter since moogle points don't seem to be a thing due to the whole no deck building.
I'm guessing attack is never gonna get high enough to properly smooth out the level grinding at all either.

Whose bright idea was it to introduce the command deck in the same game with three separate campaigns and separate inventories? Wow, I can’t wait to grind out every command and ability again, plus an additional time after this. Not to mention all minigames and arena battles. This is definitely a fun use of my time.
What ever happened to learning new spells and abilities as you level up like a normal game? Could the psp not handle this far simpler system? An MP bar was too intense so they had to replace it? I don’t get it.

Four years...... And all we have to show for it is a mock up trailer, a cancelled mobile game, and some AI generated screenshots.
