Ruling is hard. This was maybe my answer to Hashino, whom, as much as I admire him, I do quibble with. Metaphor had a very medieval philosophy: that if the king was a good man, the land would prosper. We look at real history and it’s not that simple. Hashino can say that Will became king and reigned for a hundred years, and he was wise and good. But Hashino doesn’t ask the question: What was Will’s tax policy? Did he maintain a standing army? What did he do in times of flood and famine? And what about all these humans? By the end of the war, Louis is gone but all of the humans aren’t gone – they’re in the mountains. Did Will pursue a policy of systematic genocide and kill them? Even the little baby humans, in their little human cradles?

I've never wanted quick replayable content in an atlus game as much as I want it in this game but it's just not something they do very much. Vengeance is the only game that even tries but it being Big Gay: The Game and all the tools they give you being boring work against it

They do but they fucked up with Metaphor because there's no true incentive of replayability.
The apocalypse dragon isn't that hard, Regicide is mechanically fucked in that it carries over all your stuff meaning that even if it's supposed to be the highest difficulty you don't experience any difficulty with all your carry-overs from NG+. You can't start from scratch as regicide for a proper challenge.
NG+ also makes the game too stupid easy and gives you practically nothing to do with all the virtues unlocked. There's also not enough quests or dungeons to make archetype testing or anything of the sort worth your time. You barely even need to grind.

One of the most baffling things I've ever seen mainline do is make one entirely new midgame area and dungeon in VV while loading them both up with literally the exact same fucking enemies. It's like Metaphor's Regicide, it's trying to make things more meaningfully replayable but they don't put enough time or budget into it so it doesn't work. Every 1 good decision VV makes like the Quaditsu existing has 3 drawbacks as opposed to past games where the ratio would've been 1:2. Replayability has never been good in Atlus games, which is why Persona fans are lucky that no discussion involves actually playing the games or knowing anything about the story or the characters besides what personality traits and how big the asses are on the waifus in porn.
And also no Liz and Margaret are not interesting bosses kek P3R Joker is a little interesting but it's still more guess the 20 rules or insta-die (with the added bonus of being trapped in P3R's dogshit battle system), Apocalypse Dragon and Chad Louis are both better endgame encounters.
What they really just need to do is actually balance the whole NG+ difficulty around everyone being at max level without le buyable 999 stats retardation that VV put on Godborn, send you in with everything you had unlocked and let you do whatever you want with the party from start to finish so you can just do that over and over again

Where do they sell shoulder fairies these days?

Just finished the game for the first time.
Realistically it's a 8/10 because I loved it, but the fact that Gallica can sit on your shoulder elevates it to a 10/10. I wasn't trying to break it or anything, but after a while it does become easy even on hard. My MC on Elemental Master was doing over 25k with Synergy skills, I two shot pretty much everything I fought after a while.
Great memorable characters overall, and I loved the themes it was going for. I can't wait for what they do next with the franchise.
The only MAJOR flaw was not allowing me to make Gallica queen, which arguably makes the game a 9/10, but I'll forgive the game for this mistake.

P4R kind of has the same problem that Yakuza 3 Kiwami did where the source material is kind of ass, and they will never recapture the visual and sound design that carried the ps2 version of the game, so they are best off trying to make controversial changes to the gameplay loop and especially the story. This was the RGG approach to 3 and the biggest problem is that most of what they decided to do was just bad ideas. They should absolutely not try to stuff the P3R systems into it at the same time because that game was pure ass especially from a gameplay standpoint. I don't really have any faith it will be good anyway but trying to adhere to P4G when most fans already played it on PC for $20 in 2021 unlike P3 which was not accessible and still sold at half the speed metaphor did is a mistake.

Chinks don't like p4 much and the current western fanbase is turned entirely against it so the remake is already doomed
Just make more metaphor and they won't have to worry about these silly things
