its missing the 5 harbingers, 6 devourers, 8 malakim, 4 disciples of throkos, and an aygellan worm for good measure

Huh, feels like X-Com Apocalypse in a way. Is this the set background for ehere the ayys come from or is it slightly randomized, like maybe one run the ayys are come from a Mars base on Cydonia as per tradition?

For those unaware this is an Impressions Games style isometric citybuilders with, as the name suggests, an Aztec setting, and a very well researched one at that. If anybody is playing it and has feedback or questions, I can pass them along to the developer probably (or maybe even get him to pop into the thread), I've spoken to him

5 has a matured modding scene, but nothing crazy to the levels of Caveman 2 Cosmos. Vox Populi is the popular revamp modpack. VI has a bunch of mods as well and benefits from VI being on like every platform during an extremely long console/gaming generation; VI was alive for like 9 years until VII released in 2025 and VII's release has been underwhelming to put it kindly.

It's for thw whole game.
In the first one the ayys came from another star, and it was the 80's.
In this one the aliens seems to be from a multiverse and it is 2009

>Really like the MENACE early access, decide to go on Discord and visit the r*ddit to see what is new and what others are thinking and to give feedback
>r*ddit has straight up retarded fanmade SL’s with artwork stolen from other fiction, retarded faggots talking about “dating” squadleaders and suggestions that are so hyper fucking specific that they wouldn’t even work within the framework of the game
>discord’s feedback is a big unmoderated free for all with cretins thinking of more dumb out of place shit or reposting enemies from other franchises which “would fit” the Menace universe as well
I feel that back in 2010 period these people would have been shouted down and especially the sex obsessed pest would have been told to fuck off right away. Either way the game is great, the latest updates make people seethe because the mission objective isn’t “kill everything” and you actually need to “TEMPO-TEMPO-TEMPO” your way through it. I miss forums. Leddit's points-based posting and threaded reply chains leads to weird circlejerks even with a specific discussion topic, and discord kiddies are retards hiding behind servers which means any cool or useful information isn't searchable and is siloed on a platform just as liable to death/getting outdated as any IM/VOIP chat client before it. Not to mention that Discord and Reddit accounts are global so that also poisons the well for how people behave.
>>

That being said being dumb fucking aggressive always seemed the correct way to play turn based tactics games until something goes wrong. You win big most of the time with almost no pain and then the minority of the time you get shit on for accidentally biting off more than you could chew
But yeah the modern internet is fucking awful for proper discussion nowadays, just people trying to attention whore or completely incapable of compartmentalizing interests. Sometime between 08 and 16 it happened

>>562818702
>Leddit's points-based posting and threaded reply chains leads to weird circlejerks
There's a couple posters who are posted completely unrelated bullshit about mechs from other instances with questions that seem like they'er trying to farm engagement and gather karma or some shit. It's insane.
>>562820025
>That being said being dumb fucking aggressive always seemed the correct way to play turn based tactics games until something goes wrong.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the new patch and playing on expert which punishes this and actually makes smoke grenades more useful.
Blobbing your troops ups is still the best move though, having one squad by itself is asking for it to get ripped apart.
Progression and logistics system needs to improve
>Individual promotion points earned and not a shared pool for SL's
>3 Star SL's with higher starting stats level slower, 1 star SL's with lower stats level faster
High performing veterans should scale slower and thus be powerful in the early game but not gain new abilities as fast as the 1-star's who catch up around the midgame with stats but better abilities.
>Decouple mission supplies from the SL's and introduce a manpower (or do away with it)
It's silly that if I promote my SL's I cannot take the same squad as before while the enemy keeps getting more troops to throw at me. Should both be balanced.

Trying the Aztec city builder. Just doing the tutorial right now and I'm pretty impressed by the amount of mechanics present even at this point of the game, they clearly took the impressions games model and then added few layers on top which was a thing I was worried about (as in just clone with a different skin which this is not). At the same time there's some extremely weird jank that one would think wouldn't get past the testing phase. Generally impressed with how the game looks and sound, though I think some of the buildings could use bits of animation to really bring this to 2026 standards, even the older impressions games had a non working and working sprite which made the city much livelier.
Will play some more and report back later.

it has better combat than any atb game since ff5. Compared to FF12 i idle half the time in that game, in ff13 i can constantly time my shifts and animation cancel. It is fun. The character building is too linear outside of weapons but the combat gameplay is good.
>>

I really like missions where you have a shift in perspective, bonus points if you get to play on the opposing side.
Examples of these kinds of missions:
Starcraft 2 and playing as Zeratul's Protoss in a hypothetical future
Age of Mythology and having a dream mission where Arkantos helps the bad guys destroy Atlantis
Warcraft 3 when you get to play as Chaos Grom HellscreamThe reason I thought of this was because you guys were talking about Final Fantasy 13 and in 13-2 you can turn enemies into party members.

people said that about ff8 for a decade and people said that about FF12 for the first 5 years after it came out. As someone who has played FF14 it is incredibly easy to disregard the opinions of the fanbase and believe whatever the hell i want. is ff13 a top 5 in franchise game? no. is it underrated? yes.
>>
>>562851004
>online wc3 plays just like an RTS with more micro
starcraft had both more micro and way more macro than wc3, faggot.
Fuck, even age of empires demands a lot of micro if you play it seriously. WC3 is jsut trash that punishes you for having army, with you getting less gold, and focusing on circlejerking hero instead of actually playing the game
>and its one of the most played online rts to this day
By people who hate rts and would rather play dota
>>
>>562851490
you don't know what you're talkinga bout or you played one game of wc3 20 years ago that went like that and now you think there's no armies
https://youtu.be/meQ6rfxxc2c
check this just watched it
wc3 ladder match from a day ago, tell me if there's no armies
farming ur heroes and items etc are very important but that doesn't make it not an RTS, and there's no overlap, you sound just like those faggots that think wc3 is just the custom maps or the rexxar bonus campaign, the core game is still an RTS, simple as that
>>
>>562851042
FF13 is absolute trash, FF8 for all its fault at least felt like FF game with side activities, open character builds and shit.
FF13 is a fucking hallway that artificially opens 30hrs into the game and you have to read novellas worth of text to understand what the fuck is going on.
Only good thing from 13 was R34 porn with the female characters.
>>
>>
>>562851732
>5 minutes in
>guy runs with hero and 2 units
Yep, typical wc3, where "skill" is moving unit away from being killed and feed to enemy hero
>final
>12 units full group + 6 units group isbiggest army they could gather, because going bigger would punish player
That's just sad
>>
>>
>>
>>562852050
the hallway is ludokino, it is a solid representation of the plot of being hunted down. 13 is literally what the west asked for after FF12 , both games were misunderstood at launch beacuse everyone was hooked on worlo. the combat gameplay is better than anything save ff5, 7 and 8. better usage of atb than ff4,6, 9. Game is also gorgeous , held up way harder than its peers. I wish i liked lightning returns more, we need a decent one character FF game that isn't a moba. The plot is pretty intresting if you ignore them schisming the fabulae novae crystalium and treat type 0 and 15 as part of the same universe. On a personal level i like that l'cie turning into statues explains why there are statues all over the landscape of seiken densetsu 3 .

The crisis path is alright. Feels the weakest of all of them, but it's a bit thematic at least
>bio
Meat ships are neat, more specialized than mechanical ships, different eco specialization needs for way more food, took awhile to get used to growth states
All three different bio ascensions were also decent to try once at least, plus it adds options to existing shit like Clone Army origin
Behemoth crisis is really fun at the start but can get progressively more annoying midway

I'm just still trying to figure out a good build order for Must We Suffer mutator
turning down wildlife definitely makes an earlier engineer way more viable but nothing feels quite right, i feel like i've got no units
researched scramblers but i don't even have a factory to output them yet
It is somewhat defensible but an awkward resource situation to balance and hollow warlord benefits more from open ground in the first place
>>
>>562922352
the fast start mutator ( must we suffer) seems pretty sweet. I wonder what late game research feels like with that and the " Was I the greatest to ever live?" mutator that makes research compound
Have you tried the unlimited tile aquisition range mutator? " Was Zephon truly alive?" aka " Can AI be alive?" That one sounds fun and I wonder what limits are on it. Can I just acquire a tile next to an enemy base?
>>
>>562922683
Haven't unlocked it yet, after my first couple games i've just ended up going independent every single one, either because i felt like it or because neither zephon or anchorite liked me; and i haven't made it a priority over getting the leader quest mutators done first since those two can technically be done any game.
>was i the greatest
also missed that one during my platinum scion playthrough because free antimatter sounded better than influence
The fast start can be convenient but it also confuses the build order a lot. Without it the build is very straight forward recruitment building->research lab (with it as your first tech)->resource gen building->hab block->holo theater all while bee lining for engineers in the tech tree. With it on you want to build a whole lot of stuff all at once in the first ten turns but are forced to choose, especially with being able to do a 2nd con yard turn 1 and a sub turn 15 engineer. But rushing the engineer too early delays your pop growth a lot and also puts you at military risk if you have other mutators on like the double unit production speed one. Lots of factors to manage
Also yeah volcanos are pretty awkward right now especially if they're not in a map edge or in the dead center
>>
>>562923358
volcanos should either soot the soil for +food ( forget which civ game does this... civ3? ) and also be able to be offensively detonated
>confuses build order
bruh just apply creative thinking
>missed the mutator
feels bad. There arent many guides for these , i got the scion one but I wont be suprised if I miss the count one. I havent touched my active save in 10 days or so but you are motivating me to stop playing cards and being glued to the war footage . My AI told me i could save scum mutators by saving before the last turn ( or the end of days? ) but it does not work. I know about getting them on turn 0 but thats not very sportsman like- getting 2 or 3 off one playthrough I'd be okay with though
>>
>>562835907
Generals 2 looked solid and those fucking retards blew it because they were probably doing focus group testing with a bunch of cross-eyed retards who wanted to play a MOBA or COD.
These fuckers could have ridden it high by doing the usual DLC faction grab, even worse is that they had plans for progression systems IIRC where you could at them to your roster (which ended up in that godawful C&C4 game).
It would have been peak, but instead they made 6 new sportsball games with gambling.
>>
>>562923883
>bruh just apply creative thinking
Its not that hard but it just always leaves my early game feeling like i did something wrong even if i'm getting ahead whereas if the mutator is off there's a semi-rigid path to follow that then opens up afterwards. i wasn't using it until rogue operative. I need to go back through and pick up all the ones i missed since Hollow Warlord is the last leader i need to play to have tried them all. Think i'm missing Platinum Scion, Infinite Count, Furtive Tribunal, Hollow Warlord, maybe fallen soldier or heartless artificer but i don't remember, pretty sure i did their quests but maybe picked a neutral mutator option
and then i need to play them all again with their mutators on for the additional Voice chats and then the new leaders and just
taking it one at a time right now
>>
>>562925159
you are way the hell ahead of me. I do want to get deep into voice chats though. they added a mechanic similar to voice chats to city of heroes recently, very based. Fallen Soilder is another one i blind picked. I intend to try the warlord after my count run - i want to try warlord + jets ( please do not do this you will drive me insane with fomo :V else dont post too hard about it) cyber vehicals with warlord sounds interesting to.
>>
>>562925628
>i want to try warlord + jets
well now i have to
>cyber
the drone stuff would be good for farming influence and i do have the all affinities mutator on? Chayots are always good siege weapons, more fun than tank spam...
hmm, if it was easier to do the research dip for anti-grav bays and chayots i'd 100% do it
>>
>>
>>562926163
once you get the tech that gives you a discount on both non default affinities alternate technologies become cheap, especially with the global cyber research discount tech ( i think this is universal and not platinum scion exclusive- i hate that I can't look at what every leader does for the tech tree online, that and quest rewards can be more pivotal than their initial passives)
the cyber bus is hella nice. i hope we get some kind of f-zero themed unit for cybers at some point.
>>
>>562927950
>both non default affinities alternate technologies become cheap, especially with the global cyber research discount tech
still takes extra turns that could be going for t7-10 stuff
>new units
honestly every affinity needs at least one more air unit though something like that should probably be another hero
>>
>>562928831
levraging leader abilities with units they are not nearly as designed around can be very fruitful though. regenerating flesh of the fallen soilder with crila witches or platinum scion's discount on spamming units with voice units both come to mind ( he benefits from their influence bonus operations too)
>>
>>562929130
Sure being able to hit and run with a vanquisher so you can always get an accurate shot off sounds pretty solid but at the same time is that sidetrack worth it when you could just bee line for elohim maelstroms instead? Turns spent researching the structure, turns spent researching the unit, and then turns spent building the both of them could instead be used to just expand the production of what you already have going on. Diversifying like that really only seems to be worth it once you've already hit tech ten and at that point its basically too late to be worth it. If you were to increase the number of techs needed per tier to advance to the next you would definitely see more cross pathing because then it'd just be more efficient usage but you'd also have to shift the End of Days later
>>
>>562930709
you can change the techs required to go up a tier and the end of days length in the game settings .
The time to get sidegrades is when your lower tiers take 2-3 turns and the next tier takes 4-5 turns, aka, when you need more research buildings. If you are busy building other stuff or maybe waiting for a specific high yield research tile then you have more time for side grades. I ended up trying crila witches with atlas tanks beacuse my fallen soilder run gave me a quest to build witches.
also consider that rushing to tier 10 makes the end of days happen faster, if you dick around in the lower end of the tech tree you hold back the end of days.

you inspired me to get off my ass and keep working on my save. Just got my first crodeus on the map this turn. Played 2 turns and the game swapped when i used my elect to swap position with my crodeus over a cliff.
the first save i ran of zephon ran like absolute shit despite gladius running smooth as hell. I used to have to wait almost 20 minutes between turns and I would read passages on a richard bandler book on neurolinguistic programming between turns. The game would take almost half an hour just to start up and load before now I can get in in under 5 minutes, when my web browser isn't too full to close without a PC reboot at least.
i always play with one of every faction enabled , this game has evolved into a big ass 3v3 war that looks quite fair and impressive. I've been clearing out space for a third city but idk if I want to spend the time to get enough loyalty to get it up and running - its turn 90 i doubt its worth it.

Better finish the game quick since the free update is tomorrow
if your game pace is normal then yeah turn 90 is too late to get a third city and have it be productive in time to actually help the Last Days on Earth, probably want it up by turn 60-65 to truly be worth it and then you can entertain a 4th if you think the game will go long so it can be a pure unit producer
God i wish the crodeus was better. Deleting a late game non-titan is nice but they're still so shit at combat otherwise

People were hyping it up here and on /v/ for reasons that mystified me. Either he actually paid for people to promote it on 4chan, or it became the object of some kind of discord group's attention, because it was really weird to see a game like that get so much attention and hype.
IIRC, they kept comparing it to Total War of all things, and I know the Total War fandom is currently in a state of civil war / rebellion against the developer, so it might've just been part of that.

really he's just solid because generating influence every time a unit fires meant i had 2k influence banked up at one point so i could always buy enough resources to keep making more stuff (plus a free global 9 loyalty)
it works but his specific unit buffs are pretty weak overall, its just getting an additional model for scramblers as far as i can tell and then the tier ten 10% production cost discount (not resource cost).

I usually setup ditches like these asap because nothing sucks more than having no lumber income. You can have a couple with plates under them and they'll keep an area above green for insane number of days. I think related was at quarter capacity after 26 days but you can stretch that number way higher if you have secondary feeds and tanks. Like for example a 980 two deep tiles reservoir under your fields.

I noticed that some of you were talking about XCOM and I have some things to say:
Firaxis has made some bad decisions in the last few years. Midnight Suns and Civilization 7 have not been as successful as some may have hoped. Lots of layoffs occurred and many of the XCOM developers are no longer at Firaxis.
A new company named Bit Reactor was formed and it is composed of many former XCOM developers. They game they are developing is Star Wars Zero Company.
Long story short: You might not get XCOM 3 but you will get at least one more game from the XCOM developers.

>A new company named Bit Reactor was formed and it is composed of many former XCOM developers. They game they are developing is Star Wars Zero Company.
Grim, but it's the way of things. Old development team stops being the devs, new team owns the IP and hopefully honors it, new team stops being the devs and hopefully the next team makes something decent. That reminds me, I wonder how Phoenix Point is doing; I know it's changed pretty dramatically since release.
Oh, and
>Civilization 7 have not been as successful as some may have hoped. Lots of layoffs occurred and many of the XCOM developers are no longer at
Fucking good. They deserve all the egg on their face for panic copying the worst aspects of Humankind and stapling it onto the worst aspects of Civ 6. And for forgetting their target audience: Mildly history-inclined normalfags and autistic history nerds. People want to play the known cool civs like the Brits and the Aztecs, not meme shit that even historians don't geek out over like fucking Buganda or the Mississippi indians.
>>
>>563110875
The mississippi indians are a cool lost civilization, we just don't know a lot about them. Which makes putting them in the game kind of pointless. There's a reason the same well-documented civs feature strongly. They have a more robust history to pull from, with lots of different leaders in different eras. Fucking Buganda? Are they serious?

They're neat but again they're not something people geek out over. Along your line of thought most discussion about them approaches them more as a fun bit of trivia/mystery rather than as actual people or culture we can explore and trace.
>Are they serious?
I sperged out about it last thread after another anon complained about Brits not being in base VII and I decided to look into it. The bongs got added later as DLC, but that doesn't change that the launch lineup was fucking weird and a number of Civ mainstays (Aztec, Babylon, Zulu) are still snubbed in VII to this day. Bafflingly Buganda and the Mughals count as a modern age Civ and are contemporary with major industrial powers, and I genuinely can't fucking accept societies that were completely conquered by Europeans before the American revolution began as modern.
>>563113921
>DEI
I'm conviced this is why we had Indian representation in every era at launch while omitting Aztec/Babylon/English/Zulu civs. At least with China it's pretty much been one homogenous civilization throughout their history, the Indian subcontinent was always a hodgepodge of different ethnic and religious groups with distinct kingdoms that didn't claim succession or lineage from one another, until the Bongs lumped them all together for administrative reasons. And on a macro level the average normalfag doesn't give a shit about the jeets unless it's to talk about Indian food or yoga.
>>563114845
Yeah, Civ has always been more on the pop history/casual side of things. To make a /tg/ coded analogy, Civ's mechanics are like Cataan where it's accessible for everyone to play. Meanwhile the more autistic/crunchy types tend to find Paradox's strategy games like Vicky and HOI more their speed, which in this analogy would be like playing a tabletop historical wargame.
>>
>>563116194
>mississippi indians
I believe they were added cause they tried to create a continuous north american civ progression. So Mississippi -> Shoshone -> America. And they were pretty much one of the few from that far ago that had any form of history to go by.
The "modern" era is poorly titled. They should've called it the industrial era since its obvious the game is going to have a proper modern era added later. Since the Mughals fit more into that era. Whats funny about England not being a launch civ is the victory screen for the eco victory in the modern era is literally downtown London with the UK flag on full display and everything.
Its very clear the civ 7 devs were rushed to hell by the empty suits at 2k after how badly a few other their games bombed hard. So they forced them to shit Civ 7 out cause the line must always go up. The amount of shit missing from the game at launch was inexcusable for a dev team that has been making civ games for years. For fucks sake you STILL can only trade cities in peace deals. How the hell do you launch a 4x game where you cant even ask for money?
Even though every civ game launches a little undercooked im worried 7 has too many deep flaws too far engraved into the core mechanics that will never get working right even if they're allowed time to try and fix it.
>>
>>
>>563123197
I get that. But in context of the game its why it was a poor choice to title it that. Since the 2nd age in game is the exploration age, which is mostly in the early modern era. Just another example of why the era system itself is one of those core systems that will never work right.
I forgot to mention in my post but Buganda is hilarious in its addition, not just from the "literally who" aspect but they're useless gameplay wise as well. Since their entire gimmick is based around pillaging which is pretty much never used in that era.

As I said, historians define "modern" as "post-medieval". The renaissance falls in that part of the modern era called "early modern" because by that point the old feudal order had already crumbled in places and the early forms of modern ones were replacing it. It's not like in Civ where a switch gets flipped and suddenly everything is modern. But medieval society was defined in part by its three estates: the nobility, the clergy, and the peasantry. It's characterized by an agrarian economy supported by a largely rural population, and to manage this spread out population power is decentralized to the landed aristocracy because literacy and education are not ubiquitous enough to have a centralized bureaucracy, as in the Roman Empire before. The medieval mindset is also characterized by a backward-facing attitude, with the perception that humanity in general is in a fallen state, that the best times were behind them.
The renaissance was a big part of changing that, starting mainly in Italy. The three estates were disrupted by the rise of merchants and bankers to prominence, and urbanization with its concentration of labor and tax money in cities, rather than the countryside, shifted power away from the rural aristocracy and into the hands of magistrates and wealthy burghers who controlled the cities. Education and literacy grew, and with it the opportunities for rulers in Europe to expand their personal control of their countries. True nation states would be a while yet in forming in many places, but already you could see centralization of things like military power and taxation taking shape. Kings were relying less on feudal obligation and more on the power of money, now that they had a more reliable tax base in large cities controlled by literate magistrates.
Modernity.

>The renaissance was a big part of changing that
That's mostly my point, i consider it a transition period between medieval and modern eras, the end of the renaissance is the early modern era but the beginnings of it weren't. It leads directly to modern society but was the gateway to it rather than its stark beginning. If you were to place the beginning of the modern era halfway through it with the treaty of westphalia i've got little issue with that but the idea that its 1453 suddenly its the modern era is ridiculous. To me modern era is late 1600s early 1700s with the first enlightenment ideas and large colonial empires completely replacing the fractured feudal holdings

>I believe they were added cause they tried to create a continuous north american civ progression. So Mississippi -> Shoshone -> America.
That sounds retarded but I believe it. American culture shares very little with the indigenous cultures preceding it apart from living in the same territory It's like drawing comparisons between strangers based soley on them living in the same apartment or home in different decades.

>In the historical context, "modern" means "post-medieval". For Europe the modern era starts around 1500 AD, though it's usually delineated into "early modern", "industrial" and "contemporary" eras.
Fits how VII's using it, but it's weird how the pop-history Civ is using the historian definition. Especially when the age of discovery/exploration age would overlap with the early modern era, but this is a middling entry in a casual video game series so I shouldn't get too hung up over it. I'll still forever think it's silly that Buganda is given equal billing as imperial powers with machine guns.
Also reminder that Humankind's launch had TWICE as many civs as VII's launch. They didn't have to deal with Civ's adherence to historical leaders, granted.

Finished the Tlatoani tutorial. I would call this a tutorial campaign since the 3 scenarios were pretty substantial. All 3 happen on this same map and the game lets you continue with the city you built so far or start with a premade which I suppose helps if you totally fucked up your city at some point.
The game has lot to like. I would describe it like the impressions city builders with like one added layer on top for most mechanics. It doesn't have exactly the same mechanics, for instance there's walkers but they aren't random rather they go from buildings to destinations within their range deliberately (so they aren't confused by road design). The industry chains are quite varied and the game looks and sounds pretty nice in a still image. Stuff like farming has the standard fertility but then the fruit trees also have to be spaced out from each other, religion requires temples but then the temples can be used to perform sacrifice etc. Granaries store food but then food can spoil if it's stored too long etc. I would say the game holds up on that regard.
On the downside there's some weird jank. For instance you can't properly cancel any drag build (like road or a field), cancelling just returns it to the 1 tile selection since you are still holding down the mouse button. While the visuals look pretty good moment to moment most building sprites don't have any animations or active/inactive sprites which is a shame for a game in 2026, few buildings that have them also have them in weird low quality for some reason. Some buildings also seem to be using low quality sprites for some reason.
Will proceed to the campaigns and see what that has to offer.

Every single citizen is simulated (good), a PC in 2026 can handle 400 or 1000 simulated walkers. This is great, they all have homes, jobs, Gods they worship and friends/families (well if you know they aren't homeless etc). They generally look pretty good too as you can see from the screen, they have different clothes based on their social class and job. Really nice to see them buzzing about and you can click on each to see where they live when they complain about their house being shit.
Then on the flipside you can see how the plaza (big flat spot in bottom left) has few guys partying. That's the plaza "working" sprite, not only is the animation pretty lame but the art style on the guys partying is entirely different to the actual walkers for some reason. Then if you look at the 4 big houses in the center they are all somehow blurred. Compare those to the temples or the baths to their right which are both generally crisp. This seems like a bug of some sorts, there's clearly some filter that's just not working right. You can also see how the plaza doesn't quite fit the road and leaves a grass gap, the temples also don't have a "base". These sort of issue are only really noticeable consciously if you look at them but your brain notices. Stuff like the baths (like most structures) could really use some steam rising from it or guys sitting in the pools when it's being used. This sort of jank sort of exposes how it's a small indie dev team, just a general lack of polish here and there. They have patched out the tutorial as I was playing clearing out some mission objectives which were not exactly clear on what you needed to do.
>>563187273
I think it's pretty good. You get to build pretty extensive city even during this mission and while you have lot of stuff available not everything is unlocked either. From a gameplay perspective this really hits home if you like stuff like Caesar or Emperor. For 20 bucks I think it's worth it as of now.

The theming is very strong one of the better parts of the game for certain. Priests making sacrifices and these lil niggas running around in full animal cosplay is always funny to see. The visuals, the icons, the names of various things, the industry chains etc all evoke pretty strong meso american feels immediately. Everyone chucks corn and you better like it.

XCOM 2 had a Terror from the Deep tease in the ending, so I guess at one point 3 was going to be about fighting underwater ancient ayys. Post Chimera Squad and given current Firaxis, I figure they'll just try to do a "greatest hits" retread and have another Ethereal-led invasion force with new ayys and you can hire old ayys like Sneks and Long Sectoids as your squaddies.

I hate whoever came up with 4X. eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate is basically what you do in an RTS. Rather Civ should be classified under TBS / turn based strategy. A lot of these games build upon each other even though Civ1 showed up a year before Dune II and then you have mutts like Total War which do both. It's all one big giant clusterfuck with emerging subgenres each half decade.

I mean they are more or less the same game. I should do an infographic for just strategy games in general. Sorta like picrel. What's the father for strategy games overall? Utopia 1981? Or Civilization 1991? 1989 had Populous and Herzog Zwei which are credited as the first RTS while Dune 2 was the first successful RTS. They pretty much split between real time and turn based from that point out. RTS had the higher peak but fucking MOBAs dominate today.

The Kingdom of Poland was betrayed by the perfidious Kaiser, and in retaliation Prince Boleslaw set forth to besiege Prague with the aid of the Knights Templar. He was accosted just outside the city, and handily won the Battle of Prague, which would be the First Battle of Prague shortly. Alas, just as he had invested the city with his engines, the Pope demanded a cessation of hostilities in the name of brotherly Christian love. Being a good Christian, Prince Boleslaw obeyed the command from Rome, seeing this respite as a chance to refresh his troops if nothing else. He did not even make it out of sight of the city before he was ambushed by two sizable imperial armies, one of them commanded by none other than Prince Gottfried, heir to the Kaiser himself. Thus began the Second Battle of Prague, or the Battle of the Princes, as it is called.
While significantly outnumbered, and caught between two forces, Prince Boleslaw did not attempt to flee, but stood his ground atop a hill outside the city. The larger army reached them at the hill first, but Boleslaw sent out his mounted crossbows and noblemen to harass reinforcing army led by Prince Gottfried. The first army attempted to ascend the hill, but was smashed in a pincer attack, the Polish heavy cavalry riding in from the sides and causing a general rout among the imperial army.
The first army was dealt with just in time to meet the second as it neared the base of the hill, their defeated allies streaming past them in retreat. It was yet another mass of mixed light and heavy infantry, but with the imperial prince's elite bodyguard providing some answer to the Templars. In a fit of foolish chivalry, Prince Gottfried charged out to meet the Templars lance to lance ahead of his army, and was dead upon the field after the first clash. His bodyguard were all slain to the last knight, and his infantry, thus demoralized, were soon mopped up by the all out Polish charge that descended from the hill.

I grew up with Civ III and recently found a dirt cheap copy of Civ IV, so I picked it up and tried playing it to see if it'd scratch my nostalgic itch.
A lot of the game felt like I remembered, but for whatever reason I remembered the part I *really* enjoyed (the Ancient and Classical expansion/discovery/land grab stages) felt like it fizzled out so fast and immediately that I actually wasn't having as much fun as I expected. Just figured I spent so much time in those eras in III because I was a dumbass kid that barely ever finished games.
Then I got Civ III Complete on the recent sale and it was exactly how I remembered, with such a fun and expansive and long-lasting earlygame that I love.
Are there any mods out there at all that fix this about Civ IV? I enjoy a lot of its other QoL changes and improvements, but I want to just live in the Ancient and Classical periods for a long time and have big expansive worlds to explore and a heavy focus on aggressive early growth.

>>563368235
>stealing units is powerful but expensive
yeah I stole an early neutral unit, fucked my influence, got a late tentacle centaur hero who then got gigaraped by like 7 units from the fog of war
by then I already had a bunch of the free quest heroes so I'm never ever getting that hero again which is a shame because the damage reduction for having more nearby enemies gimmick was cool
>>
>>
>>563368235
>stealing units is powerful but expensive
He used to be an S tier leader in early patches where, assuming no mutators, he could steal a neutral reaver or buster and have a second city started by turn 10. Now its much harder since neutrals are any t1 or t2 unit. You only need to steal every so often anyways. Its not an army builder its a "fuk u *steals your praetorian*" removing a lynchpin
>centaur hero
The elect of uzhodai? He should be pretty tanky. You can always just reload a couple of turns if its a big loss but he scales hard into a strong melee hero.
>already finished the false speaker quest
oh, yeah then you're sorta stuck without heroes until you're really stacking influence
don't forget you can just sell excess resources for influence too if you need it
>>
>>563372280
I always get the invasive auditor on my elect of eldrazi , and usually one or two arks of goldroch to heal myself. Gotta equip my centaur with offensive scientology. One of my favorite heroes, along with the Valkyrie. I think he is a better hero than the cyber assassin.
not too fond of the caster heroes besides maybe the commander
>>
>>563373370
commander is half combat and half support to be the inbetween for the whisperer's full support and the erelim's full combat. And i'd hope Elect is better than the Erelim overall since he's a tier later and full bruiser with less stealth trickery.
Whatever items make him tankier, frankly. I don't ever get the Concordat upgrades so its just whatever gets rolled from caches and abkhans plus a stolen flesh. The new item system is probably my biggest dislike from gladius, i get why but next to the other changes its the weakest
>>
>>563374116
I think relying on random items is fun - considering everyone is dipping the same pool of 6 heroes its a good way to create variety in them. I also don't think being in tier 2 vs tier 1 as a hero should matter much at all. If it was tier 2 vs tier 4 it would matter but a hero should scale through the entire game regardless of being a single tier later or not.
with gladius you got the same items every time and if your opponent kept you off of the only jokaro outpost on the map you got completely fucked. If we had way more heroes it could be worth redoing the item selection. Having a non outpost merchant camp that had like, 3 item slots that cycle every 20 turns and another 3 item slots that cycle another 20 turns could be cool. The item that lets you stun shit is really powerful, you can use it on titans. Gauntlet of Ruin can be extremely good too. Having a surplus of random items makes micromanging them more rewarding. A few good gauntlet uses can help clear a path for your whole army for example.

>>
>>563374470
>but a hero should scale through the entire game regardless of being a single tier later or not.
Well no hero really does that, even the elect of uzhodai who is the best combatant still isn't competing with proper late game units. Really its an issue that heroes in the late game should be more about utility and economy but the game design shifted entirely away from eco bonuses on heroes, all of them are purely combat or combat utility or getting to remove a single tile of bleed per 5 turns with an item when your armies should already have engineers with them.
>tier 1 vs tier 2
It matters because of opportunity cost. T1 research you aren't missing very much if you pick up your hero after your research lab, pretty much all the other bonuses are middling and can wait until you're in the midgame to go back and pick them up. t2 is significantly harder to justify that detour when you have to pick up hab block, generally want to pick up whatever power/trait bonus you get, and probably pick up some better unit so your neutral clear or early war isn't complete shit. And then you can't dawdle in t1 or t2 because you absolutely need holo theater, engineers, and conyards in t3.

finally took the time to beat my Endless Count save. I did not complete his quest- i chose to blanket the world in catiffs which worked pretty well. I did not even build an infantry building until like turn 90 and then inveitable end shit all over the acrin titans. Allied with zephon in the early game to wipe the tribunal off the map - as well as with the platinum scion and the untold prophet. the scion betrayed us due to a deep hatred of zephon and i wiped out his expansions pretty easy. Acrin titans seemed to spawn late and he did not even get the chance to rebuild cities despite the western board edge getting genocided by catiffs. Iok swarms are a really god damn good unit and I pretty much won entirely off iok swarms and catiffs. Slapped a titan with my Elect of Eldrazi for 55 damage though due to iok corrison and inveitble end buff.

I quite like the roaming crodeus unit, it supports iok swarms very well. iok swarms take out squishy units to heal themselves and strip armor off of bigger units to go down quickly- good synergy with 'time out of joint' as one of the count's core abilities ( a philip k dick refrence) i ended up using my arctic river tiles to generate a ton of influence in my primary city while my expansion was used for food, dimensional bleed and military production. The seed of extiction ability ends up being more area denial than a powerful seeds of corruption style nuke but it does give the crodeus more movement speed. Swallow is kind of at odds with being a big tanky fucker - this thing needs a speed boost passive to really harass and kidnap units. I could see swallow and conversion working well together if I was playing as the prophet. This thing feels like it should be further up in the tech tree instead of being a flying titan that eats space marines. with full upgrades I can crank out almost 3 iok swarms for every crodeus, again, iok swarms are a very good unit. I had access to the final voice infantry unit - phaeneris epicurian? but I didnt not get one out of production by the time the game ended. Considering their role as a vampiric healing unit they probobly don't synergize well with the count who gets global 25% lifesteal at tier 10 of the tech tree. When i play the count again to try and get his mutator I will try doing vehicals+flyers I think .

its pretty difficult to win your first game when you are tinkering with all the subsystems. if you tried the exact same core strat again you'd do fine. Same pizza for trying a new leader for the first time - though considering how quests and mutators work this is not nessacarily a bad thing
titans will always spawn outside your cities, usually both your main and expansion, and they might spawn near the homebases of the respective zephon/acrin faction home.
my last titan run they attacked my first expansion, which was where I had my buildings for constructing flyers and witches they don't nessacarily attack your main city, but they will try to join up together and attack one thing if they spawn far away from one another. Around turn 90 i often start to pull my army back and defend my bases.
my military was pretty weak so i allied with zephon this game and he had done jack shit all game due to my diplomatic manipulation so his big army pushed the titans off of my main military expansion and onto the base I started on turn 85 lol
>>
>>563444314
>if you tried the exact same core strat again you'd do fine
yeah definitely
especially since I actually read what the prophet does and realized he has an invulnerability skill that I completely ignored
and that he has bonuses to spamming a gorillion cities, which I was not doing
honestly quite annoying that I can't see my faction's special abilities unless I leave the game and check on the selection screen
...nevermind, I just thought to check myself in the communications tab and found it all right there

>>
>>563445172
loyalty is the big gatekeeper mechanic in this game , i havent played a ton of rogue op but I found that having units tailored around hit and move in gladius worked better. Utilizing that ability with anaheim enforcers will be strong but anaheim enforcers are strong with everything.
you can see your starting abilities in the compendium but what you can't see is what the leaders unlock in the tech tree and in their quests ( and quest rewards can be huge ) . this shit is also not on the wiki - at least there is a guide to unlocking mutators, vaugely.

As I promised last thread, here are the 23 members of the /civ4xg/ divegrass team. Last /vg/ League, the team topped the group with 2 wins and a draw (10 goals forward to 3 against) and finished 9th overall in a thrilling 3-3 draw against /tf2g/ that went to sudden death penalties. The lads played in the Test Cup V 18.1 invitational the past two weekend which started strong but ended in the team's exit in the quarterfinals against Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic, but it's my hope that the team can come back with that same fervor in /vg/ League 26 this upcoming May-July
If you want to see the team participate in this upcoming tournament, let me know with a (You). Furthermore, if you have ideas for the team in terms of players, player models, songs, chants, player kits, whatever, please also let me know so I can start compiling a list of potential changes. Personally I think Muh Doomstacks needs a model rework because I think the concept failed to translate to a 3D player model (although thanks to the anon who provided the screenshot that made up the player head). Additionally, Civ 4 has a 3D model of Sid Meier that I ripped so that's an upcoming visual upgrade should he remain on the team. There are some other aesthetic fixes I need to add like Wiz and Fish Tits' sleeves but otherwise this is representation of what the team looks like in the current game engine
Team wiki page: https://implyingrigged.info/wiki//civ4xg/
Video archive of the team's matches (going back to 2014): https://implying.fun/team/civ4xg/

Should we add something about AoE2's Chronicles' priestesses? They make a very weird noise when healing. We can remove Horatio, he's just forced in there at this point.
Also I'm glad to see Arthas in there.
And fuck Wiz.
>>
>>563458642
One more thing is that the tournament format will be going from 2 gold medals and 3 silver medals to 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals. Currently Somehow I'M The Bad Guy and WOLOLO are the gold medals and HAK HAK HAK, Horatio Sauce, and Nuclear Gandhi are silver medals

>24 unused ion storms
i finished my last game with a bunch of meat harvests I could never properly use but god damn, ion storms are fantastic and win way too many engagements for me.
Catiff head would look hilarious on a soccer player
the unit is mid and the recent change to their healing going from being half damage gained as HP and no cooldown to being full damage ( minus the hobble status effect that damages when a unit moves) and always healing for 33% of their life. In general i think the voice units are more iconic than the human and cyber units. cyber units have alot of popculture refrences like hasmalion orbs being from patrick mcgoohan's the prisoner or areanea stalkers being alot like ghost in the shell tachikomas. human units are pretty standard wargame stuff asthetically. Engineers are largely a reference to the mech suit from the ridley scott alien movies. our bio horror voice units are very visually distinct and seem to have been invented to fit quirky combat roles or the devs just trying to think of awful things and then visualize them.
>>
>>563471414
>>24 unused ion storms
turn 194
Its just a save i use for compendium/visual reference, i beat it long ago but i add a couple turns every time i want to check something or see what a specific tech's flavor text is
voice units are the most standout but a lot of them are also just Quake monsters too
Hollow Warlord or Honorable aristocrat are most fun, the anchorite is probably the most recognizable, and caitiffs are neither good enough nor bad enough to meme like the fallen orolos is

How can anything make up for their fucked pop growth?
What could they do with that setup that Infernal species couldn't?
I still think rockmen are cool, would try something with em again, but it was painful to play with a challenging start
Tried some weird Anglers/Agrarian Idyll/Ocean Paradise/Bioship mashup after I got tired of Infernals. Would have been boxed in quick due to being pacifist but my closest neighbor was a fanatic purifier I managed to rush down first. Bioships still feel strong and the food production is great
I tried doubling down on raising my habitability with Hydrocentric, mutation ascension, swap the climate preference back to ocean on my fish xenos. Not as much eco bonuses as I hoped but it was still a little synergy. Would probably skip the climate preference stuff next time and go with a different biogenesis ascension, or ascension in general, unsure.
Coastal Hamlet districts turned out great. Trade and consumer goods with food, plus they can take most urban buildings like medical centers, clone vats, or robotics factories

Yeah I stopped using bioships since they felt so strong when Biogenesis hit. Tried them this time for first time since the big balance update. It felt both thematic having living ships like giant space whales I'd grow to swim off planet and into space, and also just fit into the idea meta-wise since I was going hard on food production and wouldn't have ecumenopoli

>>563583262
Must We Suffer So or something like that
It makes starts a little too quick almost and kind of fucks with some factions, you end up trying to put down a second city by turn 10-15 instead of turn 30
Starting off researching tier two doesn't make it much faster to try and build cities since it still costs a lot of research but does make early clearing and build up more convenient to do, you don't delay picking up outposts for outfitters, kill neutrals well with the upgrades and still get rewarded for it with species containment, you still get your barracks out first for more clear
It streamlines the early game rather than scrambles it
>>
>>563584565
yeah but the devs are much more likely to design around 'must we suffer so' if people start playing it. these people watch their analytics like a hawk - even on pirated copies and I think that is a good thing
I need to unlock that mutator gonna check the guide
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>563585418

Suggestions for turn-based tactics games very similar to Xcom? So far I've played
>Phenoix Point; beat me
Ammo system takes the wind out of my sails and the game raped me plenty
>Gears Tactics; beat it
Genuinely much more fun than I expected although the blighted fags that floods the mid to late game ruin many viable options (like melee abilities/gear)
>FF Tactics; ditched it
No way to describe it but I've never been able to stick with it.
>Pokemon Conquest; beat it
Gets old fast but enjoyed it because its Pokemon
>Mutant Year Zero; beat it
Very fun with the perfect mix of gameplay to story for something that isn't a character grinder.
>Miasma Chronicles; beat it
Same of Mutant Year Zero, but just a wee bit better all over. A great follow-up to it.
>Xenonauts/2; nope
It doesn't visually interest me and looks like it would be far closer to the OG X-Com games for my subhuman brain to wnat to tackle
>Long War mod; beat me
Dense as fuck but it wasn't something I was able to grasp well enough.
>Mario and Rabbits Xcom
Bored me
>Frontlines
Liked the demo i played but I'm waiting on a steep sale.

Lithoid hive minds need a massive amount of minerals, miners on volcanic worlds produce free alloys, all those free alloys means spending less pops and minerals on getting said alloys which means more pops and minerals going directly to unity/research production. Throw thermotechnic forums into the mix and you turn your starting world into a mining hub which gives free additional alloys, unity, and research just for being an economic powerhouse. With planetforgers your guaranteed worlds will be dry worlds, for infernals they’ll only have 60% habitability which will mandate dedicating pops and building space for using the planetforge thing to fix it, but for lithoids those planets have 100% habitability so you don’t *have* to use the forge. Subterranean + planetforgers + mastery of nature can also give you up to +7 districts on your planets which is fantastic

Strategy games are an absolute nightmare to properly classify and to this day many people and devs are confused.
>RTS vs TBS
>4X which could be RTS or TBS
>RTT vs TBT
Then you have hybrid RTS / TBS like Total War games, grand strategy, tower defense, factory/colony sims, mobas, etc....

Other than the sandbox-y world nature they really don't play the same. Mountainblade is all about that tourney bumming, land grabbing and army building with a healthy dose of dickplomacy and other mod autism while kenshi is more about small scale heroin farming and bullying literal bugpeople while avoiding to be bullied yourself until you reach peak stats in everything. Then you bully Cat-Lon.

I always read negative steam reviews, and this is what I got a few days ago:
- the camera is ass and you need to constantly fight it to find resources
- you need to find those resources so that you can manually tell your gatherers to pick them up, because if you don't, they will prioritize shit you don't need (there is no way to change their priorities)
- the physics system is a meme, because the game shows you which of your buildings won't be stable while you build them, so you can reinforce them early (very easy and simplified) and never encounter anything falling, ever
- the events are not varied enough, and basically boil down to seal level falling/rising or storms. They do not endanger your buildings stability, at best kill your framerate because the game is not optimized.
- dudes will change jobs on their own, and there is no way for you to assign them to jobs, so you may get stuck (or have your whole colony starve) because of this

You'll get no sympathy from me greenfag. Duncan stacks are still very meaty. Meanwhile you need an advisor for one additional copy of a minor building, per map, not per village, per goddamn map. You get 6 buildings from the get-go but you have to play match 4 since no maintenance center anymore. Either attack or health or both has been halved on good part of your units. Chronos is now just an airfield that can't defend itself. The 10k hedge bonus gives you a base if you ignore your treaty gimmick, don't get cucked out of that 50 day timer by say atreides and you take a player out in straight up kill. With your wet noodle army. And then you can't build anything in it since, sorry, no mb building can be duplicated anymore either.

Indeed, but I feel a strong personal appeal toward armies whose units have synergies, so I loved how the Atreides units were weak individually but a lot stronger together.
They likely weren't competitve in the slightest because other factions could spread their armies and attack from different sides, but they were fun to play, and it annoys me that their bonuses got nerfed so much.

Oh, I see. So essentially a faster movement that makes them a lot faster, but you can still do that horrible thing I saw in Starcraft and AoE2 where ranged units run away, stop to shoot, run away, shoot, and so on.
They should've put a big cover malus to make up for it, like when they're waist-high water.

Mini Tlatoani update, these campaigns are pretty nice and have a good amount of challenge to them. Actually failed this latest mission because of my poor early build and then a pretty classic failure cascade killed my city. Need to try this again with hopefully better luck tomorrow. Game is definitely not a pure pushover.

Imagine playing the lead role in a cuckoldry video and you'll get the idea of how they play. It's a not civ game with your only possible new city locations being predetermined neutral gateways, you have permanent vision around and generated on start. And literally anyone can and will destroy them. Their units are insanely strong tho.

Arctic land is good land, fuels both research and power plants and transuranium doesnt care about terrain. Besides, more production equals better. You could always have made a 3rd city instead, or turn up region density next game so that cities aren't mono terrain

Most of those things are concentrated in the middle and none of them slow down Ai that much unless the terrain is also cancer ridden with wire. The real annoyance is lack of decent anti armor earlier on. And kinda mid on.

I do not know what the quest rewards are until I do the quests. It would be nice if there was an option to reveal these - perhaps if I had seen them before. If I could see what the quest rewards were it would be difficult to not powergame them, this does lead to a more organic engagement of the narrative in a way I find enjoyable.

A unusal combination of origin, civics and traits can be more than enough.
Gestalt machine + astro-mining bots + rogue servitor on a voidforged origin gets you shit like pic related. Granted a skilled player may actually enjoy managing this crazy economy, but a beginner will just fucking die.
I also remember starting as Lithoids on the shattered ring origin and starving to death because the mining districts on shattered ring sections produce way less minerals than normal ones.

>in this case selling your consumer goods for minerals instead
I think you can only buy 30 minerals per month without inflation increasing the trade cost.
The solution I ended up with was demolishing the consumer goods factory building this build starts with, manually reducing artisan jobs to produce a small surplus to save a ton of minerals. Then sell some food for energy to at least break even.

Underspace is a space flight, yes, but it's not realistic scifi. It's not "hard" scifi like... Hardspace Shipbreaker, it's more like... The Riddick Chronicles or Star Wars? There's stuff that defies explanation, kinda like Space 1999 or Star Trek?
I'm sorry, I'm trying to explain something but I can't find the right words.
>>
>>563722061
I understand, but in my mind even most of the "hard" sci fi is just fantasy about hypothetical science at the end of the day, and so a subgenre of fantasy. But I am more heretical on this, with my take, than most people.
In that regard Riddick or Star Wars are sci fi for me too, but they are not "hard" sci fi, as you say.
But anyway, I take that Zephon has advanced tech, so sci fi, hard or soft, doesn't matter.

is the fault of amigra flats by junji ito sci-fi or fantasy? This game is reality. Its like sci-fi > post apoc > bio horror > fantasy - the scrin acrin alien faction's biggest unit that isn't a titan is quite literally a dragon. This is part of the sci-fi wave where quantum computing utilized by AI is effectively injecting code into reality for paracausal effects. Perhaps we already see this today in the mandala effect?- paracausal mathdaemons are that taken to an extreme
>>
>>563723619
I should add that this game is very 'post warhammer 40k' though it leans way more into sci-fi . The tool tips are fairly well written and people are just trying to survive more than understand what is going on.

And let's not even start with absolute shit GW pulled out in early 00s by making half of old models unusable with new rules, and you being forced to buy new toys. By saying this, you are implying that something mattered in 40k and FB. Very interesting, what changed status quo wise in 40 years of 40k and FB? Not retcons, like removing og female space marines because making two models was pain in the ass. But actual status quo changes that came because of real stakes and consequences? Wfb is a subset of warhammer fantasy, i really cared about it when I was younger having wfrp as my introduction and favorite rpg through out 90s. When they killed wfb they basicly killed the world, also in other warhammer fantasy titles. I wasnt found of last editions of wfb, but killing whole world just to make a space for new ip was just to much for my liking.
>So you saying that GW entire existence was a mistake and they shouldn't have released skirmish games like lotr tabletop at all, because they had wh40k. Very weird opinion, but okay, then why only with AoS it became a problem in your eyes?
No, lotr was its own thing, it was a skirmish game from start because they decided this is the way. Warhammer was a regiments game that didnt profited the way gw would want it to. Its a game of profit and I understand it, but aos needed warhammer to be killed to exists while trying to target 40k audience with ruleset and lore. They fucked their wfb hobbist, thats why I have beef with aos.
>By saying this, you are implying that something mattered in 40k and FB. Very interesting, what changed status quo wise in 40 years of 40k and FB? I didnt cared for 40k lore that much and not at all atm so I cant really say much - the best I did was played few games of rouge trader back in a day. When it comes to wf sure there were some retcons even in 90s or 00, some codex autist could give many examples but its not the topic. You cant compare killing whole setting to stuff like dropping pygmys or amazonian figures or changing some minor things.

Also you state that wf became bad with grimdarkness. Warhammer was always a weird mix of grimdarkness (rules) and funny visuals (mainly because of the chosed style and figure creators). Wfrp was always grimdark to the point where my friends feared to play with their leveled characters just because they knew how easly they could lose them. Funny elements like orcs being shrooms is just a comedic relif, an element to contrast said grimdarkness.
You cant read and had a meltdown over your own assumptions, truly schizomoment.

Dowkid, you made it obvious with your first post that you don't care about warhammer outside of some balding eceleb outrage bait videos.
You can't name a single bad thing about AoS, only claiming that your feelings matter and world should revolve around you, like zoomers always do, because they grew up without experiencing real life.
You claimed how new warhammer doesn't have stakes and nothing matters, but couldn't name a single thing that mattered in "old warhammer that you loved"
You said how all true warhammer fans enjoyed dow being fanfic piece of shit, and how everyone who calls you a faggot for it is just a fan of "new", isntead you know, just calling you a faggot.
And now you tried to bring up WHRP into tabletop discussion, and after being BTFO again, just saying how you never had experience with any tabletop.
