I actually just made an evan for link and I was honestly considering it as a main. I really like the feeling of a combo mage. Im not at 5th job yet but it felt playable thus far. Funnily enough, I hated cadena when I made one to 210.

Until you realized that unless you're casting fusions mid mana burst, you're losing roughly 10~20% fd just from the wasted cast animation time. It just feels like someone has a gun to your head the whole time if you want to try and min cut certain bosses. At least cadena just shits out its damage consistently without nearly as large of a penalty.

TB player here. It's 'okay' as an entry to actual combo classes. When you try other combo classes, TB will seem more and more like a one button class that hits 2 buttons over and over instead of one.
Because that's what she is. It's very much just thunderbolt+annihilate over and over as you weave in gale and shark when they're off cd
If anything, TB has phenomenal movement since you can dash and teledash over and over.

TB is mainly just alternating between two skills, that's more like shadower than a real combo class.
You could pick a class like Merc or Ark if you want a combo class that can also just sometimes be lazy and just hold a button instead.
Kain is pretty good if you want to commit to actually combo'ing while still being relatively easy

So I was looking at professions for Classic World, and was trying to figure out which class wants what

Arcforging, especially if you're a pocket healer for a Spearm'n. The only reason to take anything else is the fact that staves have an actual trade off with wands but you can craft the best staff regardless so just ask an archer for early game staves if you need them they need all the help they can get. I will note that tailoring is 90% mage equipment and also takes a lot of screws for whatever reason, so if you don't want to craft 100% scrolls because they decided the scroll fusing system they implied in the code would be too OP then you could probably live with your decision.
>All archers
Wood crafting, you basically get infinite ammo and weapons on top of that.
>All thieves
Leather working has a lot of thief armor in it so this might be the play if you can't find something better.
>Claw thief
Probably weapon crafting, although given you only want a Meba maybe you could pick another one and just get somebody else to make it for you.
>Dagger thief
Given you can only craft like three knives in weapon crafting, it's not a great option.
>All warriors
Smithing isn't bad if there's not a good reason for anything else.
>Axe warrior
The selection in weapon crafting isn't amazing.
>Blunt warrior
The selection in weapon crafting is slightly better than the above.
>Sword warrior
The selection in weapon crafting is about as mediocre as above.
>Spear/Polearm warrior
If you take weapon crafting there are currently zero spears and the polearm selection includes some of the best ones and also the mop that's just worse Fish Spear, but the real value is being able to make screws for your pocket healer's stuff.
I expect them to expand crafting as the game progresses, although I'm unnecessarily paranoid that they'll do the whole "every region has it's own level" thing everyone always hates when MMOs try it, but this would probably be the least awful version of it.

There's too many ways of gaining EXP that don't give fragments. Monster Park (Extreme), EXP Vouchers, Boosters (I'm fairly certain the extra spawns don't drop anything), the upcoming Mechaberry Farm, KMS only added fragments to Luxe Sauna recently. It's basically grinding, Epic Dungeons, and Guild Castle, the latter two are a weekly pittance and the former is highly dependent on RNG and with the reveals of exactly how drop rate is both applied to them and the specific break points at specific drop rates it makes gains from the Grand Sacred Symbols less impactful. KMS even agrees in a general sense, there's 800 frags in the Lucid event. Just making most frags tradable in Heroic will help a lot, you only have so many hours to grind in a day and when your Hexa is maxed the frags just go to waste because Hexa Stat is a misery system.

I watched these guys stream and thought it was fucking hilarious. Streamed for like 12 hours, and I don't think they shut up for even 1 second the entire time, and were constantly speaking with strong zoomer dialect.
Are they like this when spending 12 hours grinding for 0.8% in modern maplestory?

Their OWN post and website says keys will be sent out on the 16th, but their twitter and discord staff are saying keys were sent out already and if you didn't get a key you're not in. People who went to maplecon or the cafe event got their codes and are playing. The codes from the public sign ups have not been sent yet, but they have sent out confirmation emails for those who got selected.
If you received the email that you got selected, you'll get your code in another email tomorrow.
Will there be another wave of keys or was that it, nobody knows. I would say if you haven't gotten an email about being selected, you are not playing the closed test.

I do hate fomo a lot, but sadly it is what it is nowadays. I'm still personally very interested in this as I love the older playstyle and feel of maplestory. That and I'm an nxhoe so I'm getting some other rings instead anyways. Would be cool to be true old skool OG with some closed beta stuff gathering dust in the CS, but chances of getting into this one were miserably low from the looks of things.
I'm hoping they get things fixed for a quick official launch, but there are definitely issues coming up that need fixing and tweaking.

That's true, was not the right word to use for this situation. I would definitely be playing right now if I actually could. It does help that I don't really like the rings and I have bigger concerns when it comes to actually my interest in playing this game or not. Regardless I would be much more annoyed if the rings or other cosmetics were actually something I would've really loved to have, but my interest for old maple still overcomes that.
I do consider cosmetics to be a big part of the games that I play if they are included. Fortnite is indeed annoying and I would've loved to get some of the older skins when I was playing. Everyone has their reasons for why they play and why they drop games.

The best part about classic is how good the mage classes are. Now all we're missing is custom cosmetics like maple land.

Given Mana Elixirs now have a cooldown, I hope GMS adds something either in that stat range (or later, I'm not picky), and I hope that thing is a Lemonade that has the exact same Meso to MP ratio as Lemons. Is that arguably way too good? Yes. But the alternative is mages buying nothing but fucking Lemons until Mana Elixir becomes worth it. People like the funny items, especially when they're actually good.

I mean it takes time to get to gene lib thats just how I was progressed
week one cw2 I cleared hvhilla, real mode I duo'd for the first week but I took it down in prac mode
lets see I dug up my stats from then week 1 with rentals I got to 46mil and solo'd hvhilla at like 132% on scouter (under 1.5x af)

My ren was like 65mil with rentals for the mission think it took 15 mins. Hayato did it in like 7mins. Now I'm 51mil with rentals so it's a real deal min clear with only 1200 AF inside, (lvl 13-14 symbols). Lvl 15 AF stat only gives +100 so I can't reach the 1350 needed. Problem is right now I am tilted and can't focus for that 25 min. I do about 9% with ori burst, 7% with 2min burst, 2-3% with 1min burst n bind. Only one badge slot and a few hours before rentals expire so I gotta be deathless for 20+ mins pretty much.

Still not sure what to make for summer hyperburn. Looks like they made NL more dpm instead of full burst. NW is going to be getting buffs in Clown but I don't like it's burst sequence being so manually long, makes it feel clonkers. Was thinking Kaiser but it's not a lazy class, since it's gauge if you die in armor form you do no dps until it's back up, the cool down to insta fill gauge is still 5 mins it seems and it takes quite a bit to get 3 gauge stages in bosses. Too lazy for cadenza, not too keen on playing an AB weekly since my nlomien mule isnt too active. Not too many options are left for me. Don't want to play Lynn, HY, MX, or Illium. That kind of only leaves resistance classes and DB, Cannon, or PF.
