Currently sorting through the maps: basketball works well, the table tennis is a bit funny especially when you play on the pickleball sized field, and the disc golf is goofy in a good way.

What is this?
A celebration of anon’s varied groups and activities.
For one day /vrg/ turns into a full blown school festival, with rooms, booths, attractions and little corners of chaos all hosted by the different groups and friend circles around the community.

Come wander the grounds and visit what anons have cooked up.
Games, exhibits, hangouts, performances, themed rooms, comfy spots, weird ideas, good ideas, dumb ideas made real.
The whole point is to let every part of /vrg/ show its face and make something fun for everyone else to enjoy.

If you’ve ever wanted to host something, decorate a room, run a booth, make a club attraction, show off your group’s gimmick or just contribute to the general festival atmosphere, this is the event for it.
Big or tiny projects, polished or scuffed projects, they all have a place in a school festival.

This is both a social event and a showcase.
A chance to see what all the different corners of /vrg/ are up to, meet people you don’t normally bump into and enjoy an entire map full of anon-made activities all in one place.

Specially if you are currently or have hosted weekly/monthly/occassional events before and currently!
COME AND SHILL, Grow your club, Entice another anon to try what you love doing!

I will distribute 3 template types:
1) Classroom (2x1, 3x1, 2x2, 3x2, 4x2, 7x1 sizes)

Which is particularly funny because the FT and ET actually works really well on it, it's the regular headset features which are below par. I don't know how Google thought it was okay to ship a headset OS in 2026 that doesn't let you fucking draw your boundaries, much less remember them from one session to the next, instead of just having it be a circle from where you were standing started the VR app that has no proximity to walls warning.

It's not as big as the angle makes it look, it's about the size of your hand from palm to the first knuckle on your middle finger, three fingers wide, and about as thick as your fingers. I'm sure the exact specs are on the store page but idk. I can say that it draws power about twice as fast as the Q3 based on how much quicker it eats through my external battery pack I keep in my other pocket

I don't think people who complain about Meta's OS have ever used any of the actual bad OSes, other then the occasional update which breaks everything but that's just regular incompetence as expected from all the big companies. 98% of the time, Meta's OS just werks outside of Metalink being complete dogshit which isn't that unexpected because they don't want you tethering to PC anyway since they don't get a cut from Steam VR titles and they're well aware that VD and Steamlink exist as better options given that the gay goblin is in contact with the Meta devs. Google's big problem is that they have no fucking idea why people are buying this thing and think that everyone is using it for their gay and retarded AI shit, productivity, and AR memes, and so they're focusing heavily on that instead of the actually useful stuff like better tracking, solving the overheating/memory leak issues, and giving me the option to toggle off the nag light about VD using my mic. The one positive thing I can say on that front, at least, is that Google has a community manager person on the AndroidXR Rebbit who's been getting politely yelled at about how their focus is completely wrong and the major issues the headset has as well as the gay goblin telling the AndroidXR devs directly about some of the issues as well, and so they do seem to be getting the feedback about how they're retarded and what needs to be fixed. We'll see if anything happens from it

the entire OS fucking shits itself on startup on the QPro and it can barely ever remember room boundaries if it sits unused for more than a day
the controllers have an RNG chance on any given to day to potentially brick themselves
icons rarely ever load each time ive opened up the brand new Apple copycat UI
Oculus software used to be cool, even with some of its niggles, but Meta has only taken it further into the shitter as time goes on
the fact that I can boot up my Quest 1 and have a better experience than the devices that followed it and cost way more (like the QPro) from the company that bought and murdered Oculus feels like such a "fuck you"

I set my room to a giant warehouse sized circle and it's been that since I set it. I can't set it smaller, and I play stationary.
It's not that bad though because I play stationary I don't need to risk hitting things.
So far my quest 3s has had no issues connecting to PC. No OS level blockages, just bad cable connections and sometimes the overlay forces you into a white void instead of transparent with steam VR. But restarting meta horizons works.

the Quest Pro was already too anemic to run all of its features (Eyes + Face + Hands + Passthrough) together all at once while also doing PCVR streaming
the OS literally would reboot if I accidentally opened the Meta dashboard while doing all of the above
the updates just apparently make it even worse somehow
