>>2432778 >Game won't see 2027. yeah, we desperately need draft mode, or some other way to play the game that isn't just snap, but without the snap mechanic like the majority of limited time game modes these days
>>2439737 Destroy remains as solid as ever it looks like. I mostly went with Human Torch since he fits well into Silver Surfer. Tried Ghost Rider for a good chunk too since I've been really feeling discard. Shame he was easily the least interesting champion this time. Ended up discarded almost every game and his skill, while cool thematically, just wasn't anywhere near what the others would do.
been facing a lot of daredevil and gambit decks both of which pull in different directions, but destroy of all things has been giving me good results, killmonger for daredevil, normal destroy stuff for gambit
lost to a doom deck running cosmo but it was pretty close, think I'll stick with destroy until I hit infinite
I could be f2p complete right now but I don't think it's worth it, the only cards I REALLY wish I had right now are storm, virus, wolverine and fisk, and 3 of them are getting cheaper in 3 weeks
also does stryfe even see play anywhere after they murdered foom?
>>2446936 I'm just going to wait 3 weeks and get all the x-men cards for 4000 tokens each instead of 5000 tokens
eventually there will be a new season where I really want the new card and most of the cards from the previous season, then I'll start buying packs for 5000
>>2452787 are they suggesting that dogshit OTAs are killing the game? because that's probably the most correct take, ever since the techpocalypse they've had a very gentle hand with just letting oppressive combo run rampant because muh sandcastle
>snap.fan announces they're not making articles anymore >marvel snap starts to feature articles ingame from different outlets >snap.fan starts doing articles again lol, i mean i am happy to see well written articles about snap everywhere (i prefer reading over watching), i wonder if it's because second dinner has started another round of indirect marketing
>>2436947 so when should i start playing if i want to get this ones? been on the fence about trying the game but this ones make me wanna finally give it a go
>>2455142 to be fair summer variants are different from the ones you see in the picture, they will release middle of June, you can see them all here https://snap.fan/news/schedule/#June_Variants
personally i am saving enough gold for valentina, victoria hand, thena and copycat, nocturne is also cool but she's a dead card
>>2455169 also, everything you see has been determined through datamining, can and will likely change, so it is entirely possible that additional summer variants will be added to the game
>>2455169 >>2455142 You have to be in series 3 to buy variants for cards that are series 3 and above btw so you should start playing ASAP They won't be permanently missable but with the way the variant shop works your best chance to get them is when they come out
>>2443268 Never thanked you for this, thank you anon. Sadly I'm missing Toxin, so after taking out Wingbeat both Falcons made the cut, but it still slaps.
>>2460245 How often do you get green power on turn 2/3 (idk what SS coasts)? From the looks of it you NEED to draw and play Agony into NC/GM which wastes your GM.
>>2460872 What? Agony is there for Maverick or Captain Carter. Nightcrawler is there for something to play on turn 2. The way this deck works is skip turn 1, play a 1 cost on turn 2, play Storm turn 3 or 4 to buff my hand hopefully hitting Maverick or Carter or Brood. Grandmaster is there for Mother Armani because getting the double discount/buff is really good or he can also be used for a double Surfer on turn 3. Hope is there because she's a three cost, but also because getting extra energy on turn 4, 5 and 6 can lead to some really big plays
>>2461324 Right, but for Superior Spider-Man to make any sense you need to have a card with green power on the board, otherwise he's a no text 3/4 The typical gameplan for that deck involves not having superior and a green power unit until turn 4, and maybe that's fine if you're just looking to fit an extra unit in on 5. Personally I preferred the Fallen One build with the same premise since you could reasonably get him to 8+ visible power for his on reveal (temporary buffs like Carter still apply when his on reveal hits, so storm-carter-fallen one gets him to 9 power for 10 energy on the final turn)
they've butchered the best limited time mode, every game has been over by turn 4. super cool. i'd rather just play high voltage overdrive than new sanctum.
>>2463326 This. It was a good bluffing/guessing mode and now it's another rush, big point swingly slop shit. Snap deserves to EoS with these incompetent devs that don't even get why the game modes are good.
>build a deck for new card >first game instantly countered
Hey, at least it was a real player. But retired the deck, you can't build anything unique these days, the systems in play always make sure you won't have fun.
>>2467215 The games are a lot faster now which I guess is a plus or a negative depending on what you like to play. I don't mind it too much but that's likely since I've gone back to playing decks that do decent power early right before this event. And the starting energy is so high you can do a lot right out of the gate.
>>2467215 I'm glad matches are fast so I can get all the rewards asap and then only play the mode when I actually feel like it without worrying about FOMO
Character Mastery XP updates: Splits: 15 50 Rare variants: 25 75 Super Rare variants: 75 150 Season Pass, Bundle, Limited Time Game Mode, Album, and Conquest variants: 125 200 Spotlight variants: 125 400 Ultimate variants: 250 600
They're removing these effects from the split pool:
Finishes: Rays, all colors, and Frosted Glass Flares: Rainbow Confetti
There is now a rarity weighting coming into effect for higher mastery level cards where the higher the mastery, the rarer the effect you get when splitting
They're also doubling the booster we get after every match:
>>2481209 Welcome changes but ones I didn't think they'd do. wonder what caused then to finally change things after just not bothering with mastery for so long.
>>2486322 >4 cost to 3, but made him a 3/5 A slight nerf but with a power buff. He isn't even a season pass card so I don't know why they're pussyfooting around nerfing this fuck. He really shouldn't destroy as many cards as he can with how uninterruptible objective cards are.
>>2487378 Does anyone buy bundles that cost that much? I always figured most people's limit is ten dollars for any of these. And even that is stretching things a lot.
>hai guize we changed the architecture of the game so that we can fix bugs on our side without needing patches!!!! >tone flares still fucked two days after the patch Guess they just don't feel like fixing it then
>>2492913 Would it have been too fucking hard to just limit Horsefag to only destroying one card? Fuck, they could have at least capped him at two cards since they clearly didn't want to completely gut him with that new pack with him they're selling coming out yesterday.
>>2492913 Didn't Hellcow use to be an on reveal that discarded two cards? Surely him being an activate that discarded two cards wouldn't be too much would it?
>>2496253 Knull is essentially a trap that makes Destroy worse. You think he is good, but then you realize he just helps you win one lane and you rarely have enough to win 2.
>>2497699 generally I agree with you that it is worse, but it's not strictly worse or even necessarily worse - but it is indeed generally worse
the advantage is that your power is spread out. As we have observed with cards like Doom, that's generally a good trait to have. Spread power allows you to threaten multiple lanes at once. Additionally, being an End of Turn trigger confers all benefits associated with it, like synergy with Invisible Woman First Steps and any future, similar synergy they may add such as a location that helps End of Turn specifically. Furthermore, not being an Ongoing means you aren't weak to Rogue or Enchantress, for whatever that's worth.
The disadvantages are obvious. Not being Ongoing means you can't move cards all game and get surprise benefit for 3 cost on a later turn. Not consolidating the power means you have to try harder to win 2 lanes, since you can't take for granted that Mary Jane will win her own lane the same way Hydra Stomper does.
>>2497699 I wouldn't say it's exactly worse. It's Hydrastomper but it spreads It's power around instead of consolidating it on him. It feels like it's for a move deck that just doesn't exist yet. Next season we know there's going to be more cards that can move themselves or others so she'll probably be for that deck rather than what we have now. For one she'll at least make Silk scale well.
>>2499716 >the hearthstone general got deleted from being too inactive on /vg/, we won He says while posting about a game relegated to /vm/ because no threads were able to stay op on /vg/
>their Spider Pig hits my Negasonic >Iron Patriot gives me another Negasonic >I play it with priority and it blows up their Galactus First Steps I'd be so fucking mad
>>2505404 How much does Infinity Ultron do for the deck? Always thought he'd be cool for something but that he often has to come down turn five limits things.
>>2507506 He's fun. Kind of an alternate win con if you like don't draw Ghost Rider to bring Agatha back. He synergizes well in the deck. Hitting him with Mother Askani is pretty good for power stone. With Quinjet you can do fun stuff like turn 5 Ultron. Turn 6 Iron Man + Power Stone. Mother Askani hitting iron man is also really good if you have Quinjet out for a 3 cost Iron Man. Mind Stone is also good if you get two big discards. Like Red Shift + Lady Sif, do you can play Mind Stone then Ghost Rider and bring back Agatha + the 6 cost thet Red shift made. Wing Beat is insane if it hits Iron Man or Ultron but if it hits Agatha then Lady Sif becomes random what she hits since you have two other 5 costs so that's not ideal Gambit HoD gets triggered with Ebony Blade and a stone. Wave is there as an emergency if you need to play Agatha or also just to play Ultron early.
>>2508455 >>2507506 Forgot pic. Also I swapped two cards that Regis had. He has Kraglin and Rama-Tut who were beyond useless so I took them out for Quinjet and Wave.
>bot kicks my sandcastle >bot kicks my sandcastle >bot pisses on my sandcastle >bot kicks my sandcastle >bot rapes my sandcastle >player disconnects leaving t2 >bot kicks my sandcastle >bot kicks my sandcastle >bot kicks my sandcastle >bot gives me 8 cubes >rinse and repeat above
Oh wow, she just counts the unused mana for the exact turn she is played. She was lead to believe it was you know, how she is worded, by each of your unspent energy. Or am I just simply tired and can't remember I didn't use 7 energy the previous turns and she doesn't count current turn?
>>2511136 Seriously. The game is not fun to play. Once every 40 games I get to have fun with my deck. The rest is like webm related, targeted analrape of my sandcastle.
Mediocre vfx either way. But will be a strong card.
>>2512458 I should be in bed. I couldn't possibly know how it worked since the bot played around the card, playing few cards itself and giving me all this energy. It is total unspent energy.
So as I thought once I saw her, most broken card this season. Will be nerfed to 3cost -1power.
Oh what's that? You've retreated 17 times in a row because of game fucking you over at every turn? You finally got a game where the bot is giving you a free win? A game where your combos finally aligned? Nope! Can't let you win, this bot will retreat!
>>2515294 She's alright in TC X-Men, but she's sort of a clunkier and more expensive regular Gambit since everything you'd need to do to make him do his Machine Gun thing (Magik, Wong, etc), you kind of need for her ability to have any use except she uses MoS Star Lord energy instead of discards. Funnily enough, even if you had Sun Lord, I still wouldn't recommend her unless you also have Jim Hammond.
The fundamental purpose of this game is ruined. Snapping will make any real player leave. No one will stay when they see what you're playing. Snapping t1 will nevet make anyone stay, there is no purpose to stay if someone snaps you t1.
They won't change how this works so the game is dead in the water.
I just can't understand the mindset the devs are in. Why they are hellbent on making your deck unplayable in every game? Why are they assraping your sandcastle? Why are you not allowed to have fun?
6 times in a row locations straight up removes my plays.
>>2515294 She seems ok? A potentially big swing of negative power spread around the board at only 2 cost isn't so bad on paper. But she needs the extra energy plays to really be effective and that has to be taken into account when estimating her power. Seems like a decent build around at least. The kind of card you could build around with stuff like Sunspot and Jim Hammond.
>>2520273 This one felt WORSE The audio was better but the skit was a single shot of some guy talking with no variations with the usual gameplay bits interspersed in Brode still can't be bothered. Though I suppose it's possible they thought having the CEO act like a clown on camera the month after they had to lay off a bunch of people would be insensitive
>>2520551 We're reaching a critical mass of incestous buffing cards where everything buffs everything else in a big chain If you go Forge > Maverick/Captain Carter > Stick he's already a better Shuri for not being costrained by location restrictions
>>2520551 because the buff cards archtype loves consistency more than anything else, you're not always going to draw maverick in a buff deck, but now you also get stick
>>2520551 Hate to shill YouTubers but check out Regis’ video with him. Essentially you stack a bunch of buffs onto stick then play something like a brood for like 40 power or what he did in the vid was make like 20 power Galactus.
>>2534783 brotherhood is an even better faction than before, yeah you lost gambit but you're the only deck realistically running scarlet witch (I havent seen any other deck manage to fit her in to the 6 cards they have available) meaning you get a leg up on the greed xmen decks, and you have horseman storm into mystique for big numbers on sinister/shaw, who also go dummy with askani
its a very potent deck even without leaning on the gambit gimmick and probably deserves more nerfs
>>2534783 Yeah. Avengers is just not really good at anything and the cards they give you are both bad and expensive. Meanwhile X-Men and Spiders have energy cheats which is stupid good. And GoTG, Brotherhood of Mutants and Thunderbolts do buffs better
>>2539964 And actually got the variant. Thank you Techno-Organic Virus for being so fucking good in conquest. I really just didn't open conquest at all until today. Almost missed out on a variant I actually really wanted.
>>2540536 Nah I mean because TOV buffs based off of how many times it's been played. And playing it on Bar Sinister only counts as having been played once. Still it could have been crazy if he didn't retreat and I got to play all of those for 1 cost, so probably best he did retreat actually.
I haven't been keeping up with datamines at all I missed the Chew variant is being added >>2540599 >red/white Nice >the monocolor version is white But why
went from 73 to 88 playing my recently acquired ToV deck, game's officially fun to play again a lot of my wins came down to shadow king and I'm sure I can improve the cerebro/zombie galacti matchup somehow because boy did I face a ton of those
>>2542104 >game's officially fun to play again nevermind, started playing against a bunch of combo faggots that ignored my tech cards switched to galactus to make them taste their own fucking medicine and hit 93, I don't think I'll ever hit infinite again, people just hate having fun and the only way to win is to rape thier degenerate play patterns
>>2544895 She is an ancient mutant. I don't recall them ever showing what she looked like pre-mutation. I assume she is probably some flavor of Arab/Egyptian.
>>2548371 seeing all the MTG marvel cards is messing with me, it's so weird to see >kazaar not caring about 1-drops >mockingbird not caring about created cards >colleen wing not caring about discard >titania not switching sides >FFF being a 4-drop and a bunch more
at least doom is still a 6-drop, even if he's not particularly a good one
>>2556240 there's probably some overlap of askani and shadow king decks because the only thing better against the brood maverick decks than shadow king is shadow king, shadow king, grandmaster
