Was able to unlock Titan and Shiva today with the level 20 versions of the fights. Titan I sort of fought fairly by just blasting his ass with Water and chugging pots and ethers while just tanking his hits with Barstone + Protect while Carbuncle just poison nailed on CD. Shiva I couldn't get more than halfway since her frost armor would just delete me and Carbuncle with frost armor. I found a post saying you could just cheese her (and every 20 summon) with Poison Nails and running back and forth through the arena while resummoning Carbuncle and then repeating until dead. Apparently she was the most annoying one looking at the old guides so hoping I can have more fair fights with the rest.

In the case of 75 cap content, you are not doing it alone. There's a lot of group parts. Really, nearly everything in 75 cap is a "group part", which is a part of the appeal. You're forced to go out and meet new people almost the entire game. Your subjob, your Kazham keys, your missions, your af quests, to even level if you're not a BST etc.
If you don't wanna do it, that's perfectly fine but Everquest and World of Warcraft have "fresh" servers that their players get excited for so they can do the same things all over again(but probably as a different class this time to get a slightly different experience).

If I wanted to chase loot upgrades I could play Diablo or PSO instead. I like the 75 era because it has a shared sense of struggle in the way something like Souls games do, where you can also coop to help someone.

Logged into Horizon after about a year of not playing. Never got to 75 here, been 75 on literally every other server Mid-40's paladin, zero interest in playing. Set up macros, bored already. Thought about playing a bard because I'm actually good at pulling, did nonstop chain 200+ parties on Wings to 75 Theres no shortage of bards, even really bad ones. None of them want to pull.

Is it important to get a single job to endgame and use that to farm for gear to supply my other jobs with? Or is this game built in a way that the grinds are contained to the job(s) you're trying to gear up? If the former, what are the best jobs to start with that'll make it easier to grind for subsequent jobs?

Is there an easy way to hit TH8 for dynamis currency farming as a new player? I have the Thief's Knive already but everything else seems turbo expensive or locked behind higher end game shit. Is the Chaac belt difficult to get?

Anyway. Getting Thief to 99 is a good idea for farming gil/drops in the early game due to TH. But if I were you I'd get one job to 30. Then go unlock Dancer. Probably one of the coolest versions of a Healer/DPS I've seen done in a game.
