There's one just outside the Summoning Place west of Spinebreaker's Flank
One's in Hunter's View east of the Unnamed City
One to the south in Sepermeru
One in the very northern mound in the Mounds of the Dead
One in the Pagoda of Boundless Lusts
Probably a bunch more I'm forgetting

Taverns are a thing now. You build one, put up some takes and seats, install a bar and get a tavern keeper running the place, and you'll get npcs showing up to drink, some of whom you can hire(or follow and club)

Nya, but i have found all mine from cages as prisoners.
Its really neat.to populated some place you built.
I got the ground floor of this tower I built thays got two bars and some hearths with comfy chairs and tables.
This shit also makes the hidden 'thrall happiness' mechanic go through the roof, because even if guard thralls and shit won't go and get a drink etc, the game counts all the interactables as something they 'like' or some shit.
So if you want to keep those bitches happy, build a pub.

But what you just asked that I replied to isn't 'having two loadouts' - that's just manually swapping their weapons but having them carry it for you. Another thing - if the melee follower had originally a 1h or 2h weapon can also complicate things. I don't know if they ever fixed it - but it used to be that if you changed what weapon type they had when you got them (i.e. going from a pike to a 1h axe) they wouldn't use the combos as effectively as one that already had the weapon type.

There was someone on the CE reddit trying another exiled lands placement thing using all the descriptions from the stories and it came out like you'd expect. However something somebody said made me consider something I hadn't - the 'ocean' on the eastern edge of the map. It could possibly just be the river Nilus (later renamed to styx). There's a couple instances in real life where rivers get so wide you can't see the other side (amazon at points can be 7-11 miles wide and the congo river is 30 miles wide at some points). Also - I had forgotten that the mountains in the north only became snow-covered after the frost giants moved into the area and set up the temple of frost.
So yeah, a good candidate for the Unnamed City could be the original site of Luxor before the desert took over the area and the Giant-Kings moved further north and named a new city that.
>>
>>
>>2503818
I saw that same post a few days ago but I dismiss the idea of putting it in Stygia because the exiled lands aren't naturally arid. Its a desert because the sandstorm is outof control, the natural biome is jungle like on the east side.
With that in mind the only concrete detail we really have is the area is west of Vendhya and Vilayet. It could be next to a really wide river though, yeah.
Placing it on a map is complicated by the realization that there is no true canon map of Hyboria except the first one REH drew which is really poor and only encompasses the western area.
When the game came out I think the latest official map printed in a product was in the Conan RPG rulebook (which is also full of inaccuracies like giving Turan control of the eastern desert when it should actually be part of Shem). Using that map I'd personally place it somewhere west of Kosala or even in the Black Kingdoms along that southern coastline because even if that eastern edge is just a really wide river the Lemurians have to arrive there naturally by sea and its weird if they start going far in-land in river systems.
>>
>>2505149
To add to this, I was reminded about this post >>2498480 from the previous thread and it would make a lot more sense for a literal who race like "Tribal Himelians" to be a playable race if the exiled lands are in Kosala or along that coastline as it would be right next to the Himelian mountains.
>>
>>2505149
Well, actually in some of the giant-king stones - they mention that the dam they built in the north and the aqueducts let them turn the area fertile and there was already desert to the south anyways from what the stone tells you at the spawn point when you start the game.
>>
>>
>>2505277
I'll run around to check the stones then.
There's also stuff that throws it into question like the invasion from Stygia event but I feel events are ambiguously canon at best. The relic hunters all worship Set as well.
Other points of evidence I notice that never come up is the shrine to Hanuman along the noob river. It seems like its a natural shrine built later by locals and as far as I can source, Hanuman is worshipped around Zamboula (which also places it in the direction of Kosala though it could go either way, its between that area and Stygia anyway).
If we really want to make it a river, I submit the Ilbars River running towards the Vilayet sea, though I haven't given up on thinking its not a river.

I've been trying to get corrupted attributes to a place where I'm satisfied with them. I tried 15 authority to corrupt it for Devour and 10 Vitality corrupted for more passive regen but both the passive regen and the health back from Devour are kinda low. That much corruption also reduces my stamina way too much for comfortable climbing and dodging.
I swapped 5 points from auth to vitality and only corrupting enough for the shared damage amongst thralls but ultimately I feel like if not for the spell to easy gather resources I would drop sorcery all together.
For reference, my current build is
>Strength 10
>Agility 0
>Vitality 15
>Authority 10 (corrupted)
>Grit 20
>Expertise 5 (mainly for carry capacity, though if I could go leaner in weight I'd love to put these points anywhere else)
>>
>>2505734
For climbing:
Complete the climbing journey to get a pair of Spiderclimb Boots and then add a Armor Flexibility Kit for more stamina reduction
As for dodging, you may need to rethink your gear and kits
Herbal Tea helps regenerate stamina
Elixir of Freedom/Golden Lotus Potion gives +21 stamina for 60 minutes
If you have the Isle of Siptah DLC, you can get the Gloves of Jhil that regenerates 3 stamina every second
What is your total stamina after corruption, how much stamina do you use when dodging, what is your gear and kits and what build are you going for?
>>
>>
>>2505824
I can't remember its exact score, if I had to guess I'd say it was around 90. Gear is mostly the Silent Legion stuff that I farmed from named relic hunters and executioner's hood. I use the twin bar mod which is contributing to being heavy since I carry more tools and gear than I would by default, if I had to get leaner I'd probably start there but the QoL added from it is pretty nice.
Mostly I just care about the gear letting me easily deal with bosses, which I felt a smoother experience with before dipping into sorcery.

The dev couldn't get it working and the last update he posted was that he'd reached out to the Enhanced devs for help. Apparently he's done something similar before and somebody responded and helped him, but this was posted about two weeks ago ago and there's been no update since. He also released the source code as a kind of primal scream for assistance from literally anyone, but if anybody's working on it they haven't said so. It's kind of in the wind now.

I found a random named sorceress, checked her stats and saw the melee/ranged multipliers were about equal with most non-named fighter thralls from around the noob river and have just been running with her for everything. Made her a little chubby because of an easy life doing magic with a dash of freckles and red hair using ToT and I'm just going to use her for everything until a giant snake swallows her or she's turned into red paste by rocknoses or something.

Also from what I remember of the stones, the jungle/swamp to the east was what was given to the lemurians because the giant kings weren't using it and it was essentially wasteland to them.
Honestly - if they were to make a new map the thing I think would be coolest would be a sort of 'ancient exile lands' set around the time of the lemurian/GK war. I'd probably put it at a point where it's after the battle where the humans had that strange weapon that caused the sulfur flats and maybe the first time the sandstorm is called on. I would love to dick around in an unburied/whole Unnamed City.
>>
Do some enemies have like hidden "ignore shields" modifiers? There was this one jailer with a regular-ass shortsword who'd just stagger stunlock me to death every time even though I held the shield up in good time before it attacked every time.
>>
>>2507434
It'd be fun to see an unburied unnamed city, yeah. Though I think if there are new lands I'd rather they be more true to the map (such as it is) like the Isle of Siptah instead of an ambiguous zone that could be anywhere.
It doesn't take a lot of creativity to add whatever anywhere either so there's no need for these sorts of made up places like the exiled lands.

I've found only one place to consistently get blood crystals and its a single elemental bull thing that spawns on the north cliff of the noob river near the stone that tells you about the highway being destroyed.
At least it respawns pretty fast but is that literally it? There's no node or spawn anywhere else?
>>
>>2509985
They spawn in a couple different places but since they're rocknoses they'll be underground until you walk by and get spooked. Obviously makes it a bitch to find them unless you already know where to look or just get lucky.

Toss em in front of your treasury for when you feel like messing with the purge. A bunch of disposable animals backed up by thralls with shitty perks who failed to make the cut can still have some use.
>>
>>
>>2510335
nta but I've never interacted with the purge system in its current form. I know it involves some kind of special chest you craft though right?
I like the idea of putting a bunch of low level disposable thralls and allowing the purge to 'filter' the best out of them, keeping the ones that make it through.

A camp will spawn at a random spot nearby where there's space and a clear path for niggers to rush your treasury. Always assume it'll be somewhere incredibly inconvenient and not where you actually think it'll appear. Pic related is a couple years oldand taken on a toasterbut should give you an idea just how stupidly close it can get in extreme cases. As long as you're not going full retard you won't notice any performance hit.
If you're a fucking faggot that puts down 20 fucking taverns on a massive slab to summon hundreds of thralls, and then 20 other people on the server do the same retarded fucking shit and suddenly fucking thousands of thralls are trying to pathfind all in a tiny area, then yeah, they shit up the server performance something fierce.

try khitan walls for internals, with aquilonian cirner pillars. aquilonian is also very nice set. but khitan walls are the same on both sides, whereas almost every other set has an 'outside' and 'inside' side, which makes them suck all of the dicks for internals.

You should just go for the golems. The rocknoses barely give any.
There's a golem near the tower on Siptah, under one of the archways. One of the ones next to the big ghost skeleton boss. There's also one up on the ridge where the most black ice spawns in Exiled Lands, up above the Ymir religion trainer.

Armor recipes aren't balanced at all it seems. Most of the endgame armor uses the same 18 hardened steel bars and 3 steel reinforcements for every piece whether its boots or helm, except cimmerian armor which uses less hardened steel, or even better, tavern keeper armor which just uses regular iron but has hardened steel tier stats.

The next time you start up your single player world, do the following to simulate the average online experience:
>disable half of your mods
>empty all of your crafting stations because a chinaman vibrated through your walls overnight and stole themor the server simply ate them for no reason at all
>remove all of your thralls because they're dead
>drop random foundations all around the perimeter of your base and on top of any nearby resources
>imagine a morbidly obese man in a dress screaming at you because it thinks you're using too many decorations and supposedly lagging the server
>if its been more than two days since you last played, just fucking delete your entire base altogether
>finally, take a moment to consider the money you spent to experience this firsthand

But its obviously heavily inspired by a bunch of pseudo history from the 20th and 19th century.
Cimmerians were thought to have settled in western Europe in Britain.
And that sort of fits with ancient migration theories of people migrating across the continent.
So the point being Cimmerians migrated westward and were the ancestors of Britain.

As far as I know WildLife is still in development hell and I'mm not sure if you can build cool bases in there.
For me appeal of Conan is that I can make cool castles the way I want them to be in a low fantasy setting. It would be great If I could populate it with some monsters from Sipta and add custom behaviors to create a functioning arena or something, but it's good enough.

There's Razma's journals, the Harlot's journals, the magical recordings left by the Giant Kings. The story scattered through the north is the saddest. Random smaller stories here and there too, through notes and journals.

I'm at the point where I'm supposed to do the ritual with Liu Fei, but he won't talk to me. He appears and keeps spamming me with voice lines, but when I try to interact with him, nothing happens. I've tried relogging, didn't help.

You've got the demon bats, they're pretty furry. Serpent men are hiding in the volcano. Midnight Grove has a furry as the final boss. They aren't deviantart tier furry, but are still furry.

>Does it follow any story
The most direct story you can follow is the staff quest; do the dregs, get the busted staff, and for Crom's sake read the item description because it tells you where to go next. That's the best you can hope for because the rest of the story bits you have to trip over.

Both companion questlines are super buggy. Some people have success leaving and doing Freya's quest, after which Liu Fei's magically works (or vice versa, if Freya's the one that's broken). Sometimes just waiting a day or two allows the whole quest to reset. If you're on your own server there's also admin commands to reset active quests, but those have never worked for me. Waiting is the only thing I've ever had success with.

I had a hell of a time trying to get the last part done, when she was controlled by the witch and i was fighting her she dashed off the cliff and didn't die, so when i finished her off down there it bugged the quest out and she poofed, i let her reset but something with the camp empty outside Angvar bugged her out also and never progressed it. So i had to relog and let the whole camp respawn before i could finally finish it.

Goddamn dude, it's not hard - you can skip the cutscenes when the game loads and normally it'd be during the nvidia logo but if you're using shit like fuckin' buildings sets or other big mods it'll take a while to load and even then it should only be until the very start of the fucking cinematic past all the studio cards. If you're solo and/or on a server with mods I cannot recommend Lore & Loot Highlight by Xevyr enough. Super simple mod. Adds a little outline to interactables (pic related). By default it highlights lore/story stuff and loot chests. I un-checked loot chests because I don't really care if I miss those, and that's basically it for set-up.
To be honest basically all of Xevyr's stuff is good. Twin-Bar and Inventory Compactor are another two must-haves as far as I'm concerned.

Do they work on a single player server? Not sure yet if they are like modified dungeons or random encounters, been playing around for a bit and just finished my first base that wasn't just crafting stations thrown around on a foundation spam , haven't even explored the north aside from bonking T3s on the walled nordhaimer town

Bat is terribly afraid of cliffs, ledges, or being anywhere less than twenty feet off the ground. Speaking of bat, check out how far the game has come since alpha. In a weird sort of way, CE looked almost as good in alpha until they massively downgraded everything so they could port it to consoles.
>>
>>
>>2521077
i fondly remember in Alpha that as soon as you entered the forgotten city you were getting corruption gassed. Which made it feel really hard, there was also more dragons in the open there.
Thats one thing i didn't like how they made it less challenging for casuals. There was a much more satisfying you earned this feeling to the gameplay, its still there to an extent and i suppose you can tweak it a bit.

They really need to just make a sequel already.
Bigger map, better bases and living thralls systems, better combat, better customization, better underlying code for mods.
But I must ask the inevitable question: Is it even possible for a game like this to release today?
>>
>>2521450
I'm not sure why they can't just remaster a lot of the gameplay controls and physics. Its already in unreal engine 5, what are they going to do in Conan Exiles 2? Custom engine?
I remember the climbing system didn't always exist and it works pretty well (except getting over the lips of things, it always pushes me back off for some reason) so they can actually add good things when their head is in proper development.
>>
>>2521457
I have a few points:
>no patch can remove the 500 hours I've played it from my head. It's nearly a decade old now, and a game that heavily relies on exploration doesn't have a ton of replay value
>progression and map design is completely fucked with random noobs just casually wandering into enemies that instakill them, or people finding gear on the ground that makes bothering with the next two or even three weapon/armor tiers pointless. Unless you consciously metagame by throwing out the amazing gear you find or hiding like a bitch from anything that looks remotely scary until you're max level and fully geared up, the game will be alternating between stupidly easy and infuriatingly hard half the time
>BUGS, bugs fucking everywhere, corpses glitching out and becoming unusable, boss animations bugging out so you can't dodge their moves, t posing thralls, thralls falling through the world so often they added an ingame button to teleport them home, living settlement thralls having so many nav issues that lots of people just turn the system off entirely, endless bugs
>regardless of how big the map is, it FEELS small. Maybe that's just because I played the shit out of it, but the fact that you can quite often see other biomes while you're exploring is a failure of game design 101, it's impossible to feel immersed exploring a dense jungle or northern forest when I can see a barren desert through gaps in the trees
>combat is shit from a butt
>thralls are far uglier than they should be for a game with so much eye candy and wish fulfillment
I feel like if they were able to just fix these things with updates, they would have done it already. They require a complete overhaul
>>
>>2521481
Everything you listed is fixable in the current engine if Funcom just allocated some manpower to it.
>Exploration point
New map, easy. Not a PvP map like Siptah, an exploration map
>Progression
Tied into new map but the existing map needs its progression fixed and its not too difficult to do that, but as you pointed out, you can't just have the best shit dropping out of early areas.
>Bugs
There's always going to be some bugs though I'd like it if they at least made it so climbing out of the water in the dregs didn't make you levitate weird
>Map feels small
This may just be you because you've played it a ton, I wouldn't complain if they made it bigger though.
>Combat
A balance pass over the weapons and armor would help with this. There's never any reason to wear armor that isn't heavy and I think it should start there.
>Ugly thralls
Ehh. I use mods anyway so even if they weren't ugly I probably wouldn't notice.

>Bears are relatively good combat pets, right? Got a greater one and it's fucking massive.
Probably in the top three pets, it doesn't deal as much damage as a sabretooth or the poison stacking insect things, but it's way fucking tankier, load that fucker up with honey and by the time it's level 10 it'll tank just about anything in the game, combine it with the perk that heals your pets when you do damage and by level 20 you're laughing.
Pre-pet nerf it was *the* companion IMO. Now, thralls are better, but it's still pretty damn good.
Only thing I would be careful of is getting stuck inside the thing, it loves to trap you in tight spaces.......fine in your own base where you can just move it and tell it to stand guard out of the way, but if you're in an enemy camp where you can't place it and you can't issue a move order, you'll need a friend to get it to follow them or you're fucked (I highly recommend the mod that removes collision from companions if you run your own server/SP). So set the follow distance to like 20m to try and stop it from sitting on you.

I am really annoyed too. I just finished building my first base/house too on siptah. I found a neat little lake that was pictureasque so I built a giant argossean pad, so i could build a roman style inside out house, with a nice internal foyer/verandah. and the actual house all around the 'outside' edge of the pad. I even had a nice little rear 'deck' out onto over the lake at the rear where the House hoouse was, with both 'side' parts being full of rooms for crafting, a little double airlock entrance way into the centre area, where i have a Pub, smelters, and generally shit to do and hang out, chairs and tables etc. gotta keep the riffraff away from my thralls at the rear of the 'house' the actual house.

Backups ought to be in the Conan Exiles/ConanSandbox/Saved folder. There'll be one file named "game.db" (that's the file the game actually looks at) and a bunch of files named "game_backup_1.db," game_backup_2.db," etc. Just move the current game.db out of the folder and rename one of the backups from before the issue happened to "game.db" and poof, the save is rolled back. Sorry to say, no. I have about 400 hrs and have never seen it. If i was to take a casual guess, I would assume it's a driver error or a gpu issue, but I'm not sure. All I know is I've never had it happen to me.

>>
>>2527040
Yeah it's not really presented in order of difficulty. Dregs through Well of Skelos represent the "main quest" dungeons that were present at launch. As they added more dungeons post-release, they just kind of stapled them to the end of the list like "hey, go explore these too!"
For what it's worth, my first playthrough I didn't die in Well of Skelos but died in the Sunken City twice because I'm a huge moron:
>Surely they don't cut it this tight with the underwater segments. I'll make it to the next above-water area before drowning (I drowned).
>Earlier in this very same dungeon I was asked to jump from a cliff and I was fine. Surely I'm supposed to leap down this hole to the boss area (you're supposed to platform down; I splatted).
>>
>>2527753
No, it looks like a display driver problem. The resolution fell to minimum, window zeroed out its coordinates probably and the weird streaks radiating from each edge are typical of those kinds of errors because it has nothing else to display and its not going into windowed mode.
None of what I said actually helps you because who knows why it happened, verify the files, update your drivers and make sure your gpu is properly seated.

Beasts are best early and mid-game where they're easy to get, level fast, and can act as pack mules without being as weak as a bearer thrall. The alpha hyena I tamed an hour after starting fresh is obviously a chump compared to the t4 warriors in star metal gear I have now but he's not so bad that he can't still pull his weightsince ultimately nothing in this game is that particularly difficult.
>>
>>2528371
I dress the male performers in white dyed fully covering armors and treat them as purity-aura cleansing paladins instead of homoerotic dancers. The game mechanic is just a cleanse and there's no reason to put him in gay slutwear and make him dance for you.
>>
>>
>>
>>2528643
Even better, they don't actually have to dance at all. "Entertainer" is just the name of the designated corruption-cleansing thrall-type. They dance as a default animation but you can park them in any emote you want. There's nothing saying you can't have them guarding your transportory stones in Silent Legion armor or dressed in cultist gear working at a thaumaturgy bench nearby. Mechanically they just have an anti-corruption aura.

I'm thinking about finally trying this game in multiplayer. Probably a public server first then I'll look around for a private one.
I'm worried it'll ruin how I feel about the game though. As it is right now Conan Exiles is somewhat of a comfort game that I like to boot up from time to time, sometimes even when sick, and just build stuff and enjoy thrall bosoms. There are other survival/crafter games I've played online and I won't ever return to because the people I met (usually on associated discord servers) all left a very bad taste in my mouth afterwards that unfortunately colored how I feel about the games that were involved.

>How far away do you have to build to not block the spawn of mobs/NPCs?
It use to be 10ish, but in Enhanced I suspect it's way closer than it use to be, especially with resources. My guess is it's somewhere between 5-10 foundations for mobs (keep in mind you can't actually see where exactly the spawn point for the mob is), 1-2 for resources. Just throw down some foundations, kill the bear and see if it respawns.
You could even build a cage over the bear and incorporate it into your base design.

>>
>>
>>2532506
Almost all of it--the little brown corner trim pillars are Vanir Cabin and the first layer of foundation blocks for the buildings (almost invisible in that screenshot) is Arena, but otherwise it's just Nemedian. It's by far my favorite build set. Even Funcom seems to know it, since the best Bazaar items always seem to match it (the bookshelf this Anon is talking about >>2517726 is the Nemedian Library Bookcase).
>>
Speaking as someone who bought a whole bunch of the building sets, I am pisses off, because most of them purposefully CUT OUT the vaulted ceilings and other options feom their sets to put in the bazaar shit instead, so you dont actually GET the full set, whilst Nemedian comes with more, as does argossean, than the others. Having to gwt bazaar shot to complete a dlc set is fucking ASS and uncomfortable should have hot pokers jammed in their balls and up their jacksoes for being such cunts
>>
>>2532802
I think its more that they expanded the sets later on with things we now take for granted, and those expansions ended up on the cash shop.
They could be cheaper though especially since modders can fill in those gaps easily enough for free.

>I even missed the sandstorm, it adds a very specific vibe of seeing it roll through.
the sandstorm is cool as fuck. I don't remember this being a thing in legacy exiles (probably was just me being inobservant), but I've noticed that the sky goes overcast for a while before the sandstorm forms, which is supposed to be a warning mechanic in the game, but is also cool because it creates a sense of dread and suspense as you sit around and wait to see it crest over the mountains.

>Walled village
I'm doing a similar build closer to the ruined highway but I keep drawing a blank on how to decorate the insides of the gatehouses and various wall towers. I've settled on first floors being armories (or customs/storage if gatehouses) and second ones being barracks but top floors I'm out of ideas and they tend to be really sparse.
>>
>>2536716
I'm really lazy. I'm just going to fill the interiors with clutter like pots and crates, and then I'm going to put palisades and war banners on the roof.
My plan was to use the little fort in the upper right as the central barracks for the grug police force as well as treasury and armory (central location for storing legendaries that I slowly doll out to thralls I like), but its design conflicts with the new wall and tower design so I might tear it down and rebuild a new fort in the unoccupied south west corner of my city.

There was always an anachronistic nature to the stories which you can get from just the way he describes the way people are armored like Black Colossus.
"IN THE EARLY haze of dawn the streets of Khoraja were thronged by crowds of people who watched the hosts riding from the southern gate. The army was on the move at last. There were the knights, gleaming in richly wrought plate-armor, colored plumes waving above their burnished sallets. Their steeds, caparisoned with silk, lacquered leather and gold buckles, caracoled and curvetted as their riders put them through their paces. The early light struck glints from lancepoints that rose like a forest above the array, their pennons flowing in the breeze. Each knight wore a lady's token, a glove, scarf or rose, bound to his helmet or fastened to his sword-belt. They were the chivalry of Khoraja, five hundred strong, led by Count Thespides, who, men said, aspired to the hand of Yasmela herself.
They were followed by the light cavalry on rangy steeds. The riders were typical hillmen, lean and hawk-faced; peaked steel caps were on their heads and chain-mail glinted under their flowing kaftans. Their main weapon was the terrible Shemitish bow, which could send a shaft five hundred paces. There were five thousand of these, and Shupras rode at their head, his lean face moody beneath his spired helmet."
>>
>>2537153
cont
"Close on their heels marched the Khoraja spearmen, always comparatively few in any Hyborian state, where men thought cavalry the only honorable branch of service. These, like the knights, were of ancient Kothic blood—sons of ruined families, broken men, penniless youths, who could not afford horses and plate-armor, five hundred of them.
The mercenaries brought up the rear, a thousand horsemen, two thousand spearmen. The tall horses of the cavalry seemed hard and savage as their riders; they made no curvets or gambades. There was a grimly business-like aspect to these professional killers, veterans of bloody campaigns. Clad from head to foot in chain-mail, they wore their vizorless head-pieces over linked coifs. Their shields were unadorned, their long lances without guidons. At their saddle-bows hung battle-axes or steel maces, and each man wore at his hip a long broadsword. The spearmen were armed in much the same manner, though they bore pikes instead of cavalry lances."

"At first glance the amazed watchers seemed to be looking down upon a glittering sparkling sea of bronze and gold, where steel points twinkled like a myriad stars. With the lifting of the fog the invaders had halted as if frozen, in long serried lines, flaming in the sun.
First was a long line of chariots, drawn by the great fierce horses of Stygia, with plumes on their heads—snorting and rearing as each naked driver leaned back, bracing his powerful legs, his dusky arms knotted with muscles. The fighting-men in the chariots were tall figures, their hawk-like faces set off by bronze helmets crested with a crescent supporting a golden ball. Heavy bows were in their hands. No common archers these, but nobles of the South, bred to war and the hunt, who were accustomed to bringing down lions with their arrows.
Behind these came a motley array of wild men on half-wild horses — the warriors of Kush, the first of the great black kingdoms of the grasslands south of Stygia. They were shining ebony, supple and lithe, riding stark naked and without saddle or bridle.
After these rolled a horde that seemed to encompass all the desert. Thousands on thousands of the war-like Sons of Shem: ranks of horsemen in scale-mail corselets and cylindrical helmets—the asshuri of Nippr, Shumir and Eruk and their sister cities; wild white-robed hordes—the nomad clans."

I liked the interpretation of this level of tech as being a kind of pseudo roman, higher fantasy than usual sure, but it helps smooth over the anachronistic clashing and it seems the various media depictions (pic related) prefer that interpretation too.
Its only Funcom that drops in late medieval plate armor and architecture without really thinking about it.

Ban Desinee? or some shit. french comics, maily produces as what would be called a trade paperback, graphic novel or omnibus in the rest of the west. ranges from calvin and hobbes shit, asterix and obelisk stuff.... to something way, way better.
muira? who did berserk manga in japan, he's actually more known there not for some manga faggotry like beserk, but for the graphic novel installments he did of MUSASHI. he adapted the story of musashi into the volumes of fucking japanese ink and brush watercolour PAINTING artwork 'comics'. the art is eye-wateringly fucking beautiful and each volume sells for a shitload they're THAT fucking good.
THAT is the shit that "BD" does COMMONLY for french shit. there are some really, really fucking utterly gorgeous series of conan and elric BD books running / ran over recent years.
western comics are in fact, not dead, its just the french doing it, not marvel or DC.

Just looked it up, this is the exact one I was referring to >>2537489 here when I said later ones fall short. The art in what you're recommending is like someone ripped off Penny Arcade poorly and Conan behaves like a common black street thug. The art also seems very shy when it comes to nudity though that's less of a big deal.
I also get an impression of laziness in a lot of the panels. I'm sure its for someone but if that is the direction of "good comics" for the future, I'll pass and stick to old Dark Horse collections from before the mid-2010s.

pvpers just go new server to new server, grind to max, farm explosives, and after 1-3 bases you probably get enough end game shit to fill 4 vaults and bomb out the beach, jungle, mounds, hollow arrow caves, and terrorize the river areas.

There is a cultural aspect to armour styling as well though, it isn't always form following function (though that is still dominant), for instance the conquistador helmets in some of the more modern sets ingame. That also clashes somewhat even if Zingara is meant to be primeval hyboria spain.

You couldn't in 2023 either, I don't remember it working 100% of the time at any stage of the game's history actually, it only worked on some of them.

Beastmaster Teimos is rank 1390 in some random modder's tierlist where he autistically broke down all those stats.
But you've got the thrall at a decent amount of health, the only thing you really need to care about now is the ranged or melee damage multiplier to figure out whether to give him a bow or an agility-melee weapon.
But I think in the end the answer is always a one handed mace anyway because of the attack animations and the stagger.

Slightly situational. Well Trained zombies used to be the most broken build in the game. I presume it was fixed, so I'll skip over that. Between WT thrall and WP thrall, there is a much higher potential output from the WT, mostly because you add +80% damage yourself just through stat, plus T4 armorer +follower damage gear and similar potion will numerically outdo two followers without that, and that's before WT adds its 20 pts of STR/AGI damage and VIT and GRIT toughness. In general, WT is the obvious option.
There are two ways WP has an advantage. First, two bodies means double the swings and staggering, as well as split attention in a crowd. In comparison, WT single could end up just stun-locked when mobbed up on. Second, diversity. You can have your traditional tough kitted thrall and, say, a locust queen to stack poison and super poison onto a boss target. Two queens would be meaningless since there's a stack limit, while one WT and one in WP output nearly same dps in terms of poison.
The former point on WP is my main reason for always taking that. A super thrall getting stunlocked is useless, while two do better at crowd clearing and giving stunlocks. Also, although you didn't mention it as an option, corrupted authority up to 19 is even stronger with WP. The Frenzy buff is a thrall buff, not your own stat, so they both still get +57% damage. Since buffs are additive, I don't know if that makes them theoretically numerically better than WT, but it certainly bridges the difference while keeping their advantages.
>>
>>
>>
>>2544982
Pet/thrall/golem mixing is fine, but zombies are weird due to their bonus numbers. IIRC, you can't mix with a thrall past your thrall limit, so WP would only allow 1 thrall and 1 zombie, already less than the default 3 zombies without WP. It's been a long time though, so maybe that's changed or I'm misremembering.

The default range on shared storage is actually pretty low. If you're using a mod to increase that range, make sure you're keeping pic related in mind. Planters, weapon racks, and things like Fashionist displays all have shared storage on by default so disable sharing on those off if you haven't already.

there;s like, five cages on the whole map where they can spawn. I only now TWO.
in mounds of the dead, you fight your way past all the cimmerians, the cage all by itself on the little spot where you fight some more goons and a jailor, can spawn a tavernkeeper.
and down in the little plains area full of elephants and tigers before you get back to the desert proper and before you get to the wall for the ;farmland' area there's two or three cannibal settlements close together. one of them has a cage that can spawn a tavernkeeper.
bonus points, apparently the cages have a forced 15 minute CD so if they have NOT a tavernkeeper in them... you get to wait.

Anyone know if Inflexion has acknowledged the Siptah crashing issues? I know this shit has periodically happened for years, but I can't seem to find any mention of bug fixing in the pipeline. I haven't gotten to explore the map since the Enhanced release and wasted an entire day of progression only to get trapped in a crash loop at L10. The Conan Exiles comic that Funcom commissioned answers where the Exiled lands are canonically.
It literally starts with the words "Shortly after departing the cursed city of Xuthal" and the story follows a lost Conan and Natala as they enter the land of the giant-kings. There a wizard, Rukan, who serves Thoth-Amon explains how the curse wall works.
This would put the Exiled Lands solidly in the Black Kingdoms south of Kush, somewhere not far from Xuthal.

it has SOME background in real world geology and weather patterns. the little farmland region is bordered by hills and mountains, is right next to the desert, so it still warm there, but IRL mountains and hills are great for one thing. slowing down cloudbanks and wind and rain etc. so the air slows down, cools enough to precipitate, and dumps a bunch of rain in an area that would OTHERWISE be desert.
then there's the game's mystical aspects. its smack bang between the supoernaturally powered permadesrt with the sandstorm etc, shielded from said sandstorm by mountains. and on the other said the supernaturally cold, permafrost mountains where YMIR is for some reason just chilling around. so the area between them is a lot of hot and cold smooshing together, and when that happens irl, hot goes to cold and vice versa, you get wind and rain, lots of temperate wet climate etc. that's why I built there.
20 celcius is a COLD day there.
>>
>>2557111
Well it was always a more fertile area due to the Giant-King's dam. There's a stone that tells you it was their primary farming location. It gets colder up into the mountains because of the Frost Giants having moved in at some point and setting up the Temple of Frost, they weren't originally snow-laden.
>>
>>2556166
I've found them at the black hand ship and cannibal city, I have three now. I put one tavern in the middle of the market in my city so now the guests all wander around and make the place look more populated
>>2557111
If you look closely you'll see that other than the jungle and desert, all of the biomes are at different elevations. I think that's the explanation for why it gets colder further north, because you're climbing higher
>>
>>2557597
Narrowneck Span, The Darfari camp on the rocky outcrop over noob river (north shore, east of the sentinels) has a cage that can spawn a tavernkeep, there's also a thrall cage at Thugra's Stand near the sinkhole.

Both is preferable actually, riptide obviously for breathing, but this let's you get to the bottom at the speed of gravity instead of swimming. I don't enjoy treasure diving so anything that speeds it up is welcome.
