Dabi's new buffs got me thinking. Unfortunately Dabi doesn't have any really great Fixer options (not a single Fixer-eligible costume has more than 3 red slots) but still, his new costume can achieve as much as +15.5% damage on HP and +19.5% damage on GP.
If he puts two betas on top of each other, the enemy will take 286 damage from stepping on it. He can even put Embrittlement on it for an extra +10% if he manages to tap them.

Imagine: They walk into his room, he gets a melee off, and now if they take one wrong step they just immediately take 315 damage.

Thank GOD someone else thinks this, i like using accelaration a lot, i think it's a very good tuning, but it's probably the special tuning with the BIGGEST differences between level 10 and 11 in the entire game.
40 seconds to 20 seconds, having it at 11 literally DOUBLES it effectiveness if you are a constant fighter, it's gottten to the point where i'll only use acce if it's on the right slot, unless there is no other choice.

I'm pretty sure that banner is just "every character that's currently available via character ticket".
If you want, you can save it for a future season when maybe a character that you don't have becomes available on character tickets (assuming they update the banner to reflect that) but your odds would be poor, and at that point you could get the character with a character ticket anyway.

That banner is mostly intended for new players who don't have enough hero souls to easily afford character tickets yet.

He's received a number of buffs over the seasons. He's still among the weaker characters in the roster due to his lack of mobility or strong ranged options, but he's no longer at the bottom, and he's a solid A-tier when he's in his element (indoor areas with lots of cover).

His alphas now track properly, such that they hit the enemy 90% of the time if the enemy doesn't intentionally roll them and isn't moving at mach 5. They even follow enemies around corners/over ledges.
His betas had their down power cut in half, which means he can combo off of/into them now and, more importantly, he can drop two betas on top of each other to make a super-landmine that deals an instant 240 damage for stepping on it, before tuning. When I do it with tuning, it deals 286 damage.
His gamma is armored now, so you can't interrupt him during the animation.

I've nailed down the details of that weird Kurogiri gamma bug I was experiencing in a tournament a while back.
You know that mod that everyone's been using for the past couple of seasons to farm bot XP by using Shiggy to one-shot the whole lobby?
It turns out that if ANY player in the lobby has that mod installed, and then ANY Assault Shiggy in the lobby uses his beta, it permanently breaks Kurogiri's gamma until that Shiggy is dead. Even long after Shiggy's beta despawns, as long as he is alive, Kurogiri's gamma gets instantly deleted any time he tries to use it.
The Shiggy himself doesn't even need to have any mods installed.

I see no problems with any of this. Bring in Gentle with an invisible shield that deflects attacks and bounces enemies a mile backwards if they make contact, and an Ibara skillset with a shield that's a copy of Tokoyami's shield but it does contact damage and can bind you from a distance with alt fire.

Most fun Battle Royale I've ever played. The hero-based system means battles are very dynamic and chaotic, compared to something like Apex where 90% of each character's gameplay is pointing and shooting exactly the same selection of guns while moving around in exactly the same way.

The gacha is actually fairly generous as far as gachas go, but it IS still a gacha, and it will shit on you if you don't interact with it optimally. If you're smart about it and don't waste your tickets, though, you can guarantee about 1 new character per season even if your luck is garbage.
Around half the roster is totally free, too, and many of the free characters are still in a very good place in the meta right now.

There is a huge amount of stuff to learn beneath the surface-level gameplay overview, and you're probably going to die a lot more than you kill until you play enough to learn it. The learning curve is steep, and a lot of your deaths will probably feel like bullshit. However, you can always party up with people from the thread, who can help carry you. Spectating them when you die can also help you learn stuff, and you can also ask questions here in the thread.
