I think the brawl team doesn't know who their audience really is. They try to appeal to kiddos but also the older audience. Also unlike the clash universe, brawl stars has distinct and recognizable voice actors for every character so they'd have to reach out to the specific va to maintain consistency (which in some cases they just physically can't such as with Colt's va passing away). It'd probably take more effort than clash-a-rama but the pay off would be far less.

Speed isn't scarce anymore: look at Melodie, Kenji, Shade, Kaze, Jae-yong, Alli, or Mina. Sam just has no chance of catching them. The meta just rewards hit-and-run tactics more than ever, which is inherently anti-Sam. The few brawlers in Sam’s “never-dying” archetype, like Draco and Kenji, work because their survivability is designed for the modern ~2 second engagement window. They have asspull sustain because the game has been in an asspull burst meta for so long. Sam still plays by the old rules, which the game abandoned years ago. He was made for fights lasting 6+ seconds, whereas the game now values who survives ~2 seconds of nukes. It doesn’t matter what you can heal in 6+ seconds when you're dead in ~2.

I've pushed my Finx to 1250+ before prestige but since I've been tilting on him my current trophies is 979. Now, I didn't get the prestige for him for being above 1k trophies right now even though I did in the past. Same issue for my other brawlers like Chuck, Ziggy, Mina, etc.

Strength-wise it doesn't really matter. All brawlers are viable, even the starter ones, and anything overpowered usually gets nerfed to the ground. Different brawlers are good in different game modes. If you like playing solo showdown over the 3v3 modes, focus on those brawlers first. I would not recommend leveling all your brawlers equally. You will unlock new brawlers faster than you can upgrade them, so it's better to focus on the ones you like using the most. Try getting all those to power level 9, because when you have a brawler at level 9, you have a chance to open their gadgets and star powers from starr drops and boxes for free. For the same reason, it's eventually good to have a some brawlers leveled all the way up to 11, so that you have a chance of unlocking their hypercharges for free. Buffies are the most recent upgrade mechanic added to the game, and probably the most expensive to new players, so I wouldn't worry about those if I were you.

When you're not prepared for Mandy you can easily die to some horseshit. It's like taking away Piper's knockback gadget and her super but removing the falloff damage so she always hits like a truck and you change her super to have 25:75 chance of instantly kill you. Ulti cloning one enemy at 75% of his power would be OP. They had champs like that in LoL and they were nerfed into hell while having only one clone at time.

This retard here thought allowing for 3 clones at once is a good idea. While any additional unit or thing that has HP in this game is actually quite OP compared to other skills because it takes ammo to kill it making these work as additional HP. And he gave it 3 clones. It is like giving Jessie 3 towers to plant or Nita 3 bears to spawn.

There's some weird fuckery with duels right now where people are abusing the new trophy system to farm prestiges. Many people just straight up suicide without trying to fight back. I think if you put a brawler you want to push into the third duels slot and lose three times in a row, you force that brawler to get a bot match but they also keep whatever winstreak they had before.

I prefer it over bounty, but it does depend on the maps. I just enjoy how it's quick and over with, and it can be interesting when you ban the obvious hack brawlers and are forced to use more unconventional ones. It's also the mode that's most forgiving with being paired with shit teammates. I've been able to carry knockout more than other modes.

Personally I really love the new match making system. It feels nice to pick my favorite brawlers in regular matches again without having to sweat every time. If I had a low tier at 1000 trophies it was honestly so fucking painful to play them.
And if I still want a sweaty match, I got rank for that. I like my trophy games being casual. I see how people can be complaining about this, but it's personally one of my favorite changes of the new update. Also like the prestige stuff.
