>>1999047 This. Always test to see if a game that make it on /vg/ first, and make the general at least a day before the game releases so people can have a place for pre-discussion. Also make sure to make /v/ threads from time to time. This is just my experience with having new game generals gain attention.
>>1999423 I'm dropping wuwa for NTE. wuwa's quality and kuro's greed has dipped below and gone above what I'm willing to tolerate. Nothing of what brought me back in 2.0 is present in 3.0.
>>1999426 Investment; monetary, time, emotional. I've played wuwa pretty much since 1.0. On steam I have over 500hrs. I've spent over $300. I love several of the characters. If wuwa were to start doing badly and/or get upstaged, that investment would basically be invalidated so I need to throw my unwavering support behind it to continue justifying my investment.
>>1999437 There are gacha games out there that live for 10+ years with no signs of ever stopping and this huge ass game like wuwa won't die any time soon, I bet you'll get bored with it faster than there will be signs of its revenue dropping
>>1999438 Understandable that you thought I was explaining why I'm a wuwa ride of die. I'm the anon that's quitting wuwa. I was explaining why people go so loyal to any particular gacha.
NTE looks fun, but when there's gacha games that look near identical to each other then one is bound to succeed while the other will fall off. Even if NTE is good at the start I wonder what'll happen when Ananta releases.
Perhaps we should start compiling information in this thread so we have it all ready to move to the /vg/ general when the game comes out? From what I heard you get an S-rank selector. I'm hearing Daffodil is the best character to pick.
>>1999444 Nothing,Ananta isn't a gacha anymore so it's doa, besides Ananta isn't releasing in the next year or two,by that time NTE will estabilish it's community,NTE isn't identical tell me a single open world gacha game where you can hold hands or hug another character meanwhile Ananta has yet to figure out it's gameplay loop.
ananta at least has an advantage by releasing after NTE. The first one out will always be at a disadvantage because it gives later competitors a clear bar to surpass. In this case it's going to be life sim and character interactions.
>>1999455 I remember clearing TOF map for the summer skin until i got to the areas where being there lowered your hp by 10% every few seconds but this could be cheesed with 3 healer weapons and some spots for some reason didn't put that damage on you,it almost felt like playing some post apo game with how dead that game was, that was the most fun i ever had in any gacha for all the wrong reasons.
>>1999463 they started gimping characters so they could sell you their BiS support. zani and phoebe are the infamous example of one character being worthless without the other. Then there's also them charging a premium for outfits that are not premium. For example, carolotta swimsuit splash art shows her with a water gun so it would be reasonable to think the skin has unique vfx. it doesn't.
>>1999501 Nanally is just a DPS, all she has is better numbers than standard characters. Hotori has two unique gimmicks (time stop and Ult not tied to the energy requirement - like Augusta in WuWa) which could allow her to be more future-proof. But standard supports (Daffodil) will still be more valuable in the long run. >>1999538 It was only so bad in ToF because without whaling you needed to skip every 3 out of 4 (later 5 banners), and global was shafted by untested nerfs which were not the issue for CN. Predictable powercreep was keeping most of CN players happy when it was the intended progression.
The prerelease stream also said you can freely choose from character dupe sequence buffs and reassign them. I. E. if you have 2 dupes you can pick 2 buffs
Apparently there's multiplayer heist missions in the game like GTA Online. There's also racing, fishing, mahjong, can own and decorate a living space. You can even go to jail and escape from it.
>>1999605 Closest I can find https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSIop43fgQE It's not exactly like GTAO. You don't plan it out on some board with different routes and it doesn't seem like you use your vehicles. I guess you sneak inside a bank, dodge some lasers, find some hidden keys and kill enemies. You can do it in co-op but this video its done solo.
Can someone qrd me on what Hotta did wrong with ToF? I see a lot of hate online towards them. I remember they had a pretty rough launch, but that's it.
>>1999620 The ones that are direct purchase were $25-$30 (2000-2500 premium currency) Gachapon one is in the same prize pool as the character itself, so you could get it randomly while rolling for the limited character. Pity for the skin was 200 pull though. (banner pull pity carries over to the next limited banner, but skin pity will be available only when this particular character has a rerun) Some skins can be purchased for earnable in-game currency. Leisure skins are unlocked by raising the affection level (keep giving them gifts)
>>1999659 They had big ideas. Too great even. That kind of ideas the executives should immediately cut with "There is no way we can implement it properly" But they still did and everything was half-baked and abandoned in a month. (to be fair it was supped to be a proper MMO before Perfect World bought the studio and made them convert it to Genshin model)
Most of the hate is from people who believed that gacha and MMO can co-exist but Hotta found a way to fuck over both sides: you can't just collect waifus because powercreep makes them useless and DPS meter is always in your face; and you can't grind to be on top of content because it required about $200 monthly to keep up the the banners, so f2p aren't allowed to have fun.
>>1999590 Self-insert pagpags only play gacha with a faceless male MC char and a happy-go-luck positive setting where every character constantly fellates them just for existing, snowbreak being stuck in maintenance mode for this long really broke them
>>1999708 It has racing, co-op racing with friends and you can invite your favorite girl to the passengers seat. Driving has two settings: comfort for easy leisure driving across he city and sport if you want challenge. IN challenge the handling seemed too stiff at low speed but a the same time too sensitive at higher speed, but maybe you'd like it if you are into that. Car upgrades are too good they feel mandatory: you can't do a race on rainy road without upgrading the tires - literally one button press and the car is sent flying sideways even at low speed.
really want to try this out, but the combat looks like any other gacha, and the character designs look like they are from different gachas as well, why can't they just make it solely an anime gta
>>1999920 Let me guess, your main gacha is Wuwa and you are spending standard pulls on weapon banner only? In NTE you will just roll on standard character banner using standard pulls - which you get in higher quantity that premium ones. And weapon banner uses separate currency. As to how to target specific character - one selector will be after 50 pulls, you can also just buy them with cashback currency.
>>1999942 That didn't explain anything at all and wuwa leaves rent free in your retarded head. Like I said how the fuck how you are gonna get standard s-ranks where you can't even get them from no 50/50.
You think global will have worse version of the game? Seems like a lot of chink companies like to piss on a global version of the game if its released later than CN version. Hell, they even did it in their previous game, ToF. GFL2 devs did it too. Also P5X.
>>2000332 If they do, it should be found out and put on blast absolutely everywhere 10 minutes after launch. Blows my mind that there are still retarded chinks and japs that do that shit, it's not the 2010s anymore, the other client isn't a secret.
>>1999696 >you can't just collect waifus i mean you could, the weapons weren't linked to the character so you could just roll 1 copy to unlock the character skin and then use a meta weapon. f2p could do fine but it required a lot of autism on optimizing which meta banners to roll and doing all content from day 1. because of how anni banners worked, i basically collected all the waifus as a f2p, i wasn't that strong though since i got lazy doing the content to upgrade my titan gear. i hope NTE is the same and makes it easy to collect characters
This game doing the right thing by not polluting their music with chink language and I hope the game stop doing the mandated chinawank in their version 2.0
>>2001579 the cutscenes are 99% of the game i really hate the cutscenes in combat because those really get repetitive fast is there an english patch? i found a setting for english voices but the text is still in chinese
>>2003216 nta but I really doubt chinks care if their game music has chink lyrics. If they cared that much about chinese language in their gachaslop, they wouldn't all have jap dubs as a selling point.
>People are hungry for GTA 6 but it's still not here >Lots of Genshin and WuWa players are getting bored of their respective games >A lot of incel mechanics like dating and doing all kinds of things with your waifu >Car tuning autism including an official Porsche collaboration day one >Pity carries over between banners, separate banners for weapons and characters I think they have gold in their hands if they can continue the initial momentum of the game
696 Disappointing. a more of the same that changes the type of setting but leaves everything else the same or worse than its predecessors. The few new features are low-effort, the team building is already restrictive, and they release two premium characters per update, so powercreep will be rapid. Monetization is aggressive, and if the calculations are correct, as a f2p player, you can only get one character and one weapon per update. So the game, even without the 50/50, is as F2P-friendly as its predecessors, also considering the collaboration with Porsche and the fact that there's an additional currency, Fons. Nothing stopped them from being slightly more generous than the competition, given the various layers of monetization.
The 19mil pricetag on the Porsche is pissing me the fuck off. I've only earned 16mil, and I spent most of it actually playing the fucking game non-stop and am now in the ~5-7mil a month drip feed. They're asking for a literal impossible amount of fons a month after release, but it's okay I can whale and blow $50-$100 worth of annulith to make up the difference on a single car and costume. I could just buy Forza at that point.
