The movies had a lot of cute girls that went underappreciated unfortunately, and she is from one of the better ones. Melody from 2000 was my first cartoon crush.
She also had to compete with a loli in garterbelts in her own movie.

Loved that film and its setting. Really wish the teraleak contained stuff like the city plan, forest map, or the mayor’s mansion floor plan. Risa’s floor plan was in there though, will post it when I get back if the thread is still up.Maybe some rogue employee at Wit Studio will get so mad about the Bookworm AI backlash they’ll dump all of the studios’ materials, including this film, haha…

>Garter loli
I still cannot believe not only did they get away with that, but no ratings board or parenting media review site anywhere in the world brought that up. I did see some whining on one review about Risa and Jessie though.

Holy newfag, this movie got tons of attention when it was new. Lisa's main problem was having to compete for attention with Largo.

But I own the collectors edition of this movie.
One of the better movies and one of the best movie girls.

One thing that bugs me about this film is that the little shit got away with burglary, theft of government property, criminal mischief, vandalism, and inducing panic just because her daddy’s the mayor. Would look awful / scandalous for the government, if it somehow got out who really caused the disturbances, and they might even blame her for the Effect Spore and fire, too, particularly if Oliver never wound up saying who was responsible for all this. There’s also civil liability for all the lost revenue from the festival closing down.
>but the rare Pokemon
By shutting down the festival, some of the bored tourists who already booked their hotel rooms would have probably gone up to the forest for some thrills had the spores not gone off.
>but you’re over analyzing the children’s movie
Yes I am.

Gyarus are dead.
They don’t exist currently and haven’t functionally existed for over the past ten years.
They’re as historical as mall goths or mods (the british kind to be clear)

It just sends bad messages to kids that you can do shit that inconveniences a lot of people and get away with it if you have a reason behind itor if you’re sexy.

I remember all the speculation about how they were going to give it a new evolution. Really wish that amounted to something. In one of the recent threads on this movie someone mentioned a flying type would have really fit thematically. That would have been nice.

she never walked around in a bikini in the games either, retard
in Gen 1 and 2 she literally never leaves her gym which is a giant pool, and in the Gen 4 remakes she's wearing a jacket over a modest one-piece.
Considering the only time we see her out of her gym is in gen 4, the anime actually has her walking around in a more revealing outfit than the games.

Right, it's 2026, so I have to point out that the micro tanktop in combination with suspenders that she clearly didn't need were fetishy as heck.

I mean if you hide in a bubble, cover your eyes and go "LALALA", you can effectively be unaware of their r34 and technically not be lying.
Chloe and Liko have to be the top 2 non-sexualized characters. Iris may be dark-skinned, but yoga pants are definitely a thing that men enjoy.

I was talking with an AI chatbot of garters cutie and it actually came up with some pretty good material at least for her. There’s more material I have but I’m too tired to type it out lol.
Risa is in an interesting situation where we’d see a much more traditional school setting than we’ve had in the series in that it’s not as Pokemon centric like in SV, it’s a regular ass high school. With her just getting her Eevee, we could see a real window into the challenges of balancing training with a normal school life. A sequel would also be a good chance to introduce a new Eeveelution.
Also as >>59156467, we need more fan service as it seemed like they really did try to give us as much as they could get away with in an all-ages film produced by companies that try and maintain a squeaky clean image.

I was late to the party and watched the movie "trilogy" in like 2024 or so.
I never rewatched movie 1 and 3 (especially movie 3, that was unpleasant) but this second movie? I unironically rewatched it like 5 times, it's very well-animated, has actual attention to detail and for the runtime it utilizes its characters well. I even showed this movie to my friends that still play Pokemon games but stopped watching the anime ages ago and it went well, they liked it.

because it's literally written ギャル (gyaru), not ガル (garu). Some loanword quirk, sometimes english words with ca/ga becomes kya/ya. Caterpie (kyaataapii) is another example

With Margo you’re a good chunk of the way there on account of the garters. Seriously, are these things custom order or did she just walk into the kid’s section and pick them out?
>>
>>59171771
Yeah the movie is good with the character balance, it's just that in movie 1 and 3, Ash is extremely central to the story, in the second movie (Power of Us) it feels like he's an equal with the other characters.

The most ridiculous thing about this film is that the entire city’s major tourist event is postponed and is plunged into total chaos by an inappropriately-dressed little girl simply because there are no security cameras anywhere in the main plaza and at the festival grounds.
>but the Smeargle ink
It doesn’t turn you invisible, it just masks tracking and scent… unless you use UV light, which means that her attempt to go undetected is ironically how she gets caught.

Just to force an explanation, it could be that, being the mayor's daughter, she had access to a lot of restricted areas, either by stealing her father's keycard or by being let in by guards who, upon recognizing her, didn't report her.
What's unbelievable is that in a universe with a ton of fantastic creatures that could be used by the police, they can't use Psychic Pokémon to solve crimes quickly.
I remember a "fantasy" manga that had a special police department where an elf could use a time spell that allowed her to visualize a fixed 20-square-foot area up to a week in the past. This was used at crime scenes, but the drawback was that she needed to be accompanied by a witness to verify that the vision wasn't altered, and once used, it couldn't be reused in the same place (though they could store the vision in a bottle). She also couldn't distinguish doppelgangers or illusion spells, so it was used as circumstantial evidence.

It felt like they were almost experimenting with the concept of an Ash-free movie by reducing his focus a bit. Of course thanks to the leaks we know one was in development. Maybe if they didn’t follow up the movie with the cutest girls in the franchise with a sausage fest it wouldn’t have flopped.

The entire part starting from the Hunter attack to the spore going off is the only part of the film I’d change or add more substance to, as the film generally does an excellent job juggling multiple plot lines to the point where spending a little extra time wrapping up what was up to that point the film’s central source of tension. They could have at least had included some explanation like you said or expand the flashback scenes. Perhaps show the shadow of Teddiursa cutting a camera’s wires, SOMETHING. I also think it’s ridiculous the Mayor follows up the whole thing by going straight to the Zeraora story. Any normal citizen would have faced severe consequences even if their reasoning was the same, and Largo nearly got killed/captured. The whole thing even started off because she was in the mountains when she shouldn’t have been and it would reflect badly on him if it ever got out it was his daughter that messed things up. Dude should have been angrier. Would have made an interesting line of tension they could’ve resolved nicely when he and the citizens show up at the fire and also make him more of a character. An extra two to five minutes wouldn’t kill the film as I think it feels fairly lean, all things considered.
As it stands I hope no villainous team goes after the city with the intent of actually doing something nefarious, because TR nearly burned it down by accident and chances are Largo never wanted things to escalate into widespread panic and police involvement like it did and things still nearly went to complete shit.
>>59175872
I mean, I’d count Detective Pikachu as that was a fun popcorn flick. Shame it was that and only that, though. Although come to think of it maybe it’s best they ended the traditionally animated movies with a bang rather than a dud.
