He did this for an entire year.
He religiously hoarded the OP position so he could claim credit for accomplishments that he had nothing to do with, to the point that he would routinely start new threads long before the bump limit just so he could have his participation trophy. He constantly disregarded the wishes of the actual contributors because he thought his garbage ideas were better than anyone else's, he disrespected the efforts of people with actual talent by deciding some trash smogon meme was more relevant to the thread than any artwork created if it didn't meet his extremely self-serving idea of quality. He poisoned the reputation of the general by shamelessly obsessing over his husbando even after he was told to stop, to the point that the original creator abandoned that character entirely out of guilt. Alex was called out each time and learned absolutely nothing from any of this.
There was only one person in the thread who actually liked Alex anon or cared about him, and this faggot constantly tried to tear him down because he has an inferiority complex and wanted that anon's title and reputation. If he said the sky was blue, Alex would say it was green. And when that anon finally left, every other major contributor walked out with him instead of tolerating Alex's bullshit for another minute. Now it's just necrobumps and AI slop.
He wasn't just the worst OP on /vp/, he was one of the worst OPs on any board.

As for Black City: after a couple of months being a street thug, ordered ro shake local businesses and debtors, he was forced to end a man's life. He couldn't, but the guy "pity" him so he made him his personal bodyguard. Turns out that man was Ghetsis, ready for a third strike. When David had every goon and crook trying to take him out, he redirected them towards a warehouse with Ghetsis inside. There, he used Fissure, capturing about 90% of the city's major criminals, Ghetsis included. Sadly, he ran away when he heard the sirens, and he believes that if he returns, somebody will try to "collect". He doesn't mind it much. He had fun in Unova, so he says "City is fun, but I am a country boy. I prefer things less crowded and accelerated."

I think it depends on what vibe you want to give it.
The good thing about trainer clothing is that they can either be simple or complex, yet retaining form.
Like for example: if you want to make a cool trainer, you give it sporty clothes. By giving this outfit, people can think is an Ace Trainer, a Sport one, or a Ranger. If you give it reserved clothes, they can be Maniacs, Ground users, or a fossilmon fan.
You can also use the regions to their advantage. Orre allows a lot of cyberpunk-esque outfits. Kalos is more aimed to high fashion design. Johto and Sinnoh can be more traditional, etc.

Just pick an outfit, and see what add and/or remove. And if you have any doubts, we can critique it for you.

My OC is an attempt to answer the question of “what happens when a pretty good Trainer just…doesn’t really make it? What happens to the ones who don’t reach protagonist-level?”

Thus my guy ends up as a teacher in the city, looking to cultivate talent for the next generation because he doesn’t really know what else to do.

The “future gym leader” bit is specifically there to highlight my OC’s ambivalence towards the role. There are ceremonial, law enforcement, political, and perhaps even commercial obligations the role carries he’s not sure he wants. He’d rather remain a well-employed educator on a comfortable salary with a reputation for churning out really good students.

Cinnabar Island in Kanto and Mt. Ember in the Sevii Islands. He’s not going anywhere there might be wild Charizard. It’s not that he dislikes Charizard, it’s that a couple of his Pokémon have a pathological dislike for the species.

So he is a mentor character? do you want to or plan to make a plot where he actually tries again to accomplish his wish?
It also surprises me how every mon has a very descriptive bit about their personality but you still call them by the species, still not sure about names?

It kind of depends on how much you care about someone calling your OC a gary/mary sue, if you don't mind that, it's fine.

I never really delved into any of the comp, official or otherwise, of pokemon, what is the feud?

It’s more so casual fans thumbing their noses at people who like competitive, thinking they’re sweaty hards who don’t actually like Pokemon/ignore the series’ messaging. At least that’s how casuals who actually play the games are stereotyped as behaving, a bunch of casual fans are just TCG scalpers or honest to god Genwunners who spend way too much time generating Kanto art on AI apps.

In return the competitive fans retort with the very much true claim that casuals only have the same handful of jokes (Karen quote, “haha Vaporeon/Lopunny/Gardevoir”, “lmao Johto level curve”, dexit and its subjokes, Cynthia’s mansion in Undella, and “HAHA WOLFEY INCINEROAR”) but with less vitriol on average.

I mean, I get playing your game competitively. Pokémon went from a basic RPG adventure to a massive deck of cards, with strategies and choices.
On the other, I can also get why people make fun of comp users. Some steps to have a "legal" pokémon are ridiculous. Sure, GF solved this with many tools and QoL elements to make it easy. Hell, Champions is basically PKHex, but if you want to roll a gacha and then invest in your choices.

But if a tournament goes "purist", do I really want to kill so much time to get ONE of the best possible pokémon available?
I feel there could be better ways to have a League Mon. Like, I don't know, summit a sheet of paper with your data and choices, the guys from the venue gen the mon, and you can only use that team during the event.
That's one way to get an agreement, at least for me.

This comp conversation reminds me that I don't really know how vgc or actual tournaments move. The only real hardcore pokemon experience I tried out was that Pokemon dark souls thing, and that shit was a fucking slog to go through, too many knowledge checks, too many fuck you because you tried, too many limitations.

Fall for these nuts. If you cared about the characters I made you'd have fixed it already instead of using them as bump fodder. I've asked in multiple threads for the Luke and Midge files to be fixed. There are non Luke and Midge pictures in them. I also have an issue with Midge's folder being named "Midget". I get it she's short and has a funny name. Put her name on it. So, now I'm just pulling my stuff entirely. Written stuff too.

Because I sincerely don’t remember him asking “multiple times” for his stuff to be fixed, and my searches have only seen it once, this is the first time that he is asking for his stuff to be *totally* removed. I feel his request is based on a huge misunderstanding especially since he has been very inactive these past couple of months. I won’t refuse if that’s truly what he wants but I want to take the opportunity to resolve this issue first.

Hey luke, that.... would be a mistake I did probably (im gene), since alex has been distancing himself for a bit, I end up collecting everything and then sorting into the places that I believe are correct, then alex comes over and fixes any errors he spots, I guess he had a blind spot, or I accidentally grabbed stuff I shouldn't have.
I generally trust him into fact checking the characters and what not to Alex first because he is the one that has read most of the plots and knows most of the characters around here, so I trust him with those more often than not. I guess I should have realized since he spends less time here he would not have seen this request. Sorry for not informing it.
