HGSS are not good games to replay, the best way to play them is to keep the same file over a long period of time while you explore the side content and postgame which is the OPPOSITE of replaying
the best games to replay would probably be XY (huge dex with lots of options but not a lot to do after the champion so you might as well start over). also RB or BW which have smaller dexes but if you can tolerate that then they're good to replay.
but none of those are the best pokemon games of all time or even my favorites. it's an important distinction.
