Well said
It feels more like a true sequel to 1 than 2 did due to the similar puzzles and item examination
It's hard to argue with how slick and flashy 2 is though

Resident Evil but you can run out of ammo before the cargo ship fight and fuck your first playthrough completely
>just hit him with cargo boxes bro
doesn't fucking work I hit him with like 5000 and a knife to the dick

because it has real depth instead of wallpaper

this game is officially too cool for vr. they are normies circlejerking the trilogy who are afraid to play one of the best survival horror games ever made because they have to stay in their normie-approved capcom bubble.

The Umbrella island and arctic base are two of my favorite locations in the franchise.
Absolutely 100% worth it... extremely underated and one of the better games.
I’ve always considered it the “real” Resident Evil 3, and Nemesis is just a side story that perfected the Mr. X idea and gave closure to Raccoon City with Jill and all those character cards you can earn at the end.

Not even the best dreamcast horror game.

Of course it is technically better and is arguably more immersive, but it does look worse imo

then show me an example of someone "being afraid" to play Veronica because of whatever nonsense bullshit your rotten mind came up with
you obviously would prefer the RE game with a demented tranny and a whiny faggot sidekick in it

I like RE3, but it's definitely a tone shift from the previous games. Dodging makes the game piss easy, and handloading lets you make tons of ammo. You can kill pretty much everything without worrying about ammo. It's like Alien vs Aliens. RE3 is the action movie of the PSX trilogy.

RE3 is the natural action focused sequel to resident evil 2. It turns the gameplay up to 11 and you really need to have your tank controls down. It was perfect for people who played 1 and 2 OG a ton. So much challenge, and so much adrenaline similar to how they describe the "panic horror" of dino crisis.
Resident Evil CVX is a perfect sequel to 1 and 2 in the sense that it goes back to a slower paced, slow burn survival horror.
You SPRINT with Jill in RE3, you lightly jog with Claire.
Love both of these titles, and they need to actually remake 3 instead of the shitty $15 fan game we got with RE3R

You've said the exact same thing in multiple RE3 threads then, you fucking retard.
You think saying RE3 is easy is a dunk because you're so retarded and shit at video games that you think RE1/2 is hard
Dipshit.

It literally is. I know someone is a tourist when they don't know Resident evil 3 was supposed to star HUNK, and not Jill. CVX literally was supposed to be resident evil 3, it carries on the story and expands upon it.

Wouldn't the joke make more sense if it was still called Code Veronica?and it was Jughead who cross dressed as Veronica

Remake, Zero, and CV were a huge waste of time.
Crippled the franchise and made RE4 a sales flop.
RE4 should have been released earlier, around 2003, and RE5 for the 6th gen around 2005... but Capcom wasted a lot of resources on pointless releases instead of pushing the franchise foward.

Currently stuck on Nosferatu. I kind of fucked up and left Claire’s knife back in the metal detector box. I refuse to use anything but the rifle to kill him, but it seems like sheer luck to score a hit that 'counts' on his heart.

Get the Assault Rifle. If you finish him off with the sniper rifle or knife, you'll get the bonus cutscene. It has to be the last hit.
>I kind of fucked up and left Claire’s knife back in the metal detector box.
You will get another knife at the end.

It was interesting watching my zoomie nephew play this game. He's been getting into RE ever since he played the second remake a few years ago and I finally convinced him to try the original trilogy + CV for the first time. It actually really surprised me that his taste went
CV>1>2>3
He got really pissed off near the start of CV but once he found the first item box, everything got a lot more manageable (also said that anyone getting softlocked just sucks and I kinda agree considering he ended the game with shit loads of stuff and he didn't even abuse the knife) and it ended up being his favorite
Meanwhile he said Nemesis in 3 was just annoying and wasn't fun to fight.

I was a big resident evil fan back when Code Veronica came out and my parents rented a dreamcast, code veronica, and a VMU from blockbuster in order for me to play it. The graphics were mind blowing to me at the time and I had fun with the game, but to be honest it was a slog to get through. When it came out on the PS2 I purchased it and only finished it once then shelved it. RE2 and RE3 are definitely superior games to Code Veronica but as a fan of the story I really did appreciate what they did with bringing Wesker back and expanding on the umbrella lore. It's not even that I was bored with the formula because I even enjoyed REmake more than CV.
For the classic RE games I would probably go with
>RE2 >RE3 >REmake >CV >RE1 >RE0

Not even sure what you mean by most complete. It's the longest, yeah, but it has a lot of reused areas.

I get what you mean and I had a similar experience. Code: Veronica has some annoying stuff early on like repeatedly making you go back and forth through the metal detector hallway that doesn’t make a good first impression. Overall I still like it quite a lot and have finished it on Dreamcast, 360 and PS4. If it ever gets ported to Switch, I’ll probably buy it lol
