I think it has really nice difficulty balance for an arcade game. getting the ultimate result, the equivalent of a 1cc, is tough but feels like something you can realistically achieve without committing your life to it.

The shitty thing is that they could'f easily made Outrun a driving game by not having a clock. It's a fun ride, with a great soundtrack, different routes to come back to, and a run is only about five minutes.
Whether Yu Suzuki's intentions were simply to make a pure driving game or a racing game, they decided five minutes was too long and greedily added a clock to catch people out. You must race against the clock, and it's game over if you lose that race, so it is in fact a racing game at its core.

No, that is an amiga/snes attempt to recreate chase HQ arcade gameplay. Lambo american challenger is juat "crazy cars 3" released in the 90s.
