Fuck sake man...
Leave my trilogy alone

You probably won't be impressed. It's the tragedy of landmark works that influenced everything that followed and then fell off. Same with "Tron" and "Neuromancer" - if you experienced them back in the day, you'll see how influential they were, but going back today is difficult because they will appear naive and simplistic since everything else built on that.

You're not alone and the place is not really dark. So it's false advertising.

the gameplay is more polished then you would expect. it's pretty fully formed for a first entry.

No it's not lol. Still takes awhile to get used to for the zoomer.
As much as i love the original trilogy, it's a very steep game to get into, very outdated unfortunately.
Specially the second, which is so bizarre and all over the place, featuring extensive janky gunplay so millenials wouldn't drop it in the first 5 minutes.
>t. technically a zoomer and yearly pilgrim of these games

my perspective was comparing it to the second iterations of the formula on the psx and I was surprised by how closely it resembled those. op described themselves as an re veteran not a zoomer going in cold.

>re veteran
This is a sneaky REspam marketing thread, OP isn't really interested in the OG trilogy. It's only us.
>>
>>12509843
i was speaking to that in the abstract, it doesn't matter if op is actually an indian marketer.

In that case, i guess you're right. But it's much slower albeitthough and i guess the puzzles are in-line what you'd expect in *ahem* ~that~ game.
It's probably best to rec new nightmare as a starting point and then, i don't know. x360 remake sucked ass big time donkey nutz.

>Neuromancer
I've been meaning to read this for years. Is it worth reading? I've never really cared about cyberpunk so I don't know much.

Set the correct cycles or you won't be able to run.

Neuromancer is still good. It's the sequels that don't hold up and somehow feel more dated than the first.

If you thought a zoomer playing OG RE and crying about outdated design sensibilities is funny, just place them in front of this game

>zoomer
>"genuinely what is this" to og re
No way, that is a gen alpha babby at the very least.

Yeah we know gramps/e-marketer/tourist
Keep it in topic and stop deploying cheap baits.

Much like H.G. Wells, it's a bit outdated. Somewhat enjoyable, i guess.
This era still had hope in technology, which is why 1984 and brave new world shook the whole scene

AiTD has a nice strategy book written in a semi-prose format. It's a good read, even if you beat the game a billion times
