Why do people on this site still try to keep the Nintendo v Sega console war alive? Don't you know Mario and Sonic are great buddies now?

Yes? They're just consoles. You can freely collect or emulate all of them. No need to pick a side, you just play whatever you like. I own all three. I don't sit around which one is arbitrarily "the best". There's nothing gained by doing so.

I don't know, jealous kids energy that never went away? Modern consolefags trying to us /vr as a proxy for Sony vs Nintendo? Even as a kid in the 90s I gave zero shits about console wars, I wanted EVERY game console. If a friend had a console I didn't have, getting to play said console at their house was a great experience. Once the early 2000s rolled around, I used used game shops and ebay to snatch up a bunch of different consoles that I didn't have when they were current. I was primarily a Nintendofag who didn't own a Sega console until the Dreamcast, but finally getting a Genesis to be able to play stuff like Comix Zone and Sonic in my own house was a great experience, as was getting a Saturn with a handful of lightgun games.

At this point it's more like lingering resentment than an open rivalry.
