Definitely not worth that price, but it's one of my favorite ADV/VN/point and click games ever

>this japanese video game is thin on gameplay and has an overstuffed and padded story
Did you really think you were offering any insightful commentary

Yeah man... it's the Japanese games that are like that... Here I was in this troll thread ready to go into a point and click adventure game looking for non-stop action gameplay

Just buy some high quality repro if you NEED to own a physical copy. No game is worth what you paid.
I got my PAL Snatcher for 60€ years ago and I still think I overpaid.

It's ok, more fun with the light gun.

You could have downloaded it for free, anon. Paying the kind of money to collect plastic is retarded.

the Japs have never made a good cyberpunk game
In fact the best /vr/ cyberpunk game was made by Californians

I emulated this almost perfectly on a softmodded Wii with 240p output to my CRT TV. The only iffy parts were the shooting sections; but I remember the Wiimote working pretty well. But aside from that the game looked and sounded incredible. And it was very refreshing to play this style of game where the gameplay itself is basically just asking questions/investigating scenes to move the story forward,

Genesis Plus GX on a Wii + CRT is actually the closest thing to original hardware you can get via emulation. Even the Sonic 1 waterfall has nearly the same banding when compared side by side. The only thing it's missing is the rainbow banding you see on the waterfall, the tubes in the second level of Sonic 2 and a few other games, which was due to a timing issue with the crystal oscillator on the original hardware and can't really be emulated (I think there's a filter that attempts it though).
I've tested expensive PC to CRT adapters that output proper 240p but none looked as close to original hardware as the Wii.

Did you play on original hardware with a Justifier or some other setup? Because I could see using a mouse in an emulator being a lot more fun since less false misses.

I fuckin love this game. I'm in the very beginning of making a spiritual sort of sequel to it. I have a nice vision of what the story and gameplay elements will look like. I hope I'm able to see it through.
