Also don't pigeonhole them into just girly games. My younger sister had a few disney princess games she played very rarely but she beat New Super Mario Bros on her ds like a hundred times. Try getting SMB, SMB3, and SMW. They'll love it, trust. Everyone likes Mario. Also most Kirby games. Very easy for children to pick up and its probably more aesthetically pleasing to the average girl than Mario.

I know that the machine technically fulfills the "minimum requirements" of Minecraft, but so did my Acer netbook from 2007, and that didn't make running 1.7.10 enjoyable.
