>>3950235 it looks like exactly the same game from the promo stuff, except you need to actually walk instead of clicking stuff, which would probably kill the pacing
>>3950281 >where'd you get your file? archive, there's a translated/rtp'd version >>3950309 why not? i want to discuss this ge and there are no suitable generals for doing so
Are you hinting at something about the game's development you want everyone to know? Were the translator team in the Epstein files? Was this a cancel culture thread all along?
Does anyone know it there's a version out there with the RPG_RT.exe present in the files, instead of just the RPG_RT.ini? I'd love to open the game in the editor to see how the dev did some of his stuff, can't do that with the .ini
basically i'm on my first blind playthrough, currently on the tower of giants. i have unlocked dwarfs but haven't done it yet
i'm stuck of the dumb puzzle with the letters permutation, which i'm not sure if it's another puzzle lost in translation or if i'm missing a clue, and the giant boss is asking me his name which i think is sun but i think i'll farm dward tower now instead
also i still can't beat the champion king, do i need to bleed him and that's it?
>>3951952 It was lost in translation in jap, the answer is just reversing the word, here the answer is some lame permutation of corporealize I don't remember, maybe zeliarepocor, but I'm not sure.
>>3951599 nono I know, I'm pretty sure the game doesn't use patches (are there even patches for 2k? I thought things like dyn and maniacs were 2k3 only). I just wanna take a look at how he scripted some things, take a peek at the database and the common events. May be valuable things to learn here thats all. Can't do that with just the .ini sadly.
>>3952285 If you don't already know that you can just drop any RPG_RT exe into the game folder and open the project in the RPG Maker editor like normal once it's in there, maybe you don't need to be doing this.
>>3950233 Do you ever stop feeling weak in this? I'm still very, very early on but I feel the dungeon has me constantly fighting for my life. I first started with the priest background and picked exorcist as my class but I felt terribly weak compared to my companions. Restarted the game, and knight background with the knight class is feeling a lot better, but I'll still occasionally get BTFO or have really close calls. The mage companion has enough mp to BTFO one or two encounters but is deadweight otherwise.
>>3961038 I played quite a bit but but dropped it after some technical issues later on. The Exorcist does have a weak start but once you start getting some spells and fighting undeads, you will feel powerful. Do remind yourself that you are support now and should use damage dealers.
Do companions every gain more out of combat actions? I feel disincentivised from pricking certain party comps because of too much overlap in things like Strength and Perception (seriously, why is there so much Strength). Thievery seems really useful and so does Gnosis, but Syphon is insufferable and annoying to keep alive
the translation project page says it's: file contains various tips assembled by principal tester bool as he played through each of the game’s four routes. Beware that some of these tips may be considered spoilers, and in the case of the hidden treasures, most of them have in-game hints associated with them if you prefer to find them that way. But at present, please consider this the genesis of a future Ruina English wiki or strategy guide.
ok i guess nobody cares but i'll blogpost anyway itt, maybe it will help me finish this ge
first of all, a rant:
for reference, i'm towards the endgame i assume, right before the final bosses of the giant/dwarf towers. so far? this game was super fun to play blind and i'm sure it wouldn't have overstayed it's welcome if i just finished it and uninstalled and rated 8/10 or whatever
but then i started doing my own reseach and... *sighs* so ok, the are 4 origins. and there are codex unlocks for 4 ng+... so ok, i need to play the game for 4 times (some also say this is needed to fully comprehend the story)
then i discover the ending is different with each character. so i have to manipulate the hidden attraction meter of everyone before the ending, ok. oh to do that i need to do character events, some of which are route-exlusive and other missable! like did i see part 1 of kireha event? will it get triggered after the city event? no idea. hidden event for syphon? only available on sage route and you need to do 1 tower, then city, then half of the other to trigger it, so if i didn't have a backup save i'd have to replay the game 5th time to see it... and ng+? apparently you barely carry anything so it's just an excuse to make you replay the game 4 times
basically everything is kinda a pain to track without a proper walkthrough. i mean i admit that on one hand this is actually a masterful game design to make each experience more unique, but i dunno, maybe i'm missing the point again...
>>3978142 are you saying this because you like a single playthrough or because you have actually played through all the 4 origin stories and think they aren't worth playing?
>>3978145 i played through once without a guide and it seemed complete and satisfying to me. there werent loose ends or open questions. i did have to look up good ending criteria for final boss battle but it was easy and did not brick my saves tried another route for a few hours and it was repetitive so i didn't bother with the rest. as far as i know the game doesn't have a secret route or major reason to do this
>>3978150 >i played through once without a guide and it seemed complete and satisfying to me. yeah that's my point exactly, doing 1 run is definitely satisfying. my question is if doing 100% actually improves or worsens that experience, but obviously only people who did all the 4 routes can answer me
like i think in the sage route there are aliens n shiet? imagine skipping that
>>3978154 I just go through the route I go through for these kinds of games and that's it. Maybe on a replay a few years down the line I might do a different route. It's basically never fun to just immediately replay a long game after beating it.
>>3992764 i don't have the time. i wanted to spin an ai agent that adds ge from my custom list by scraping internet for information but nepchan's anti-clanker protection is a pain to deal with
Well, the least you can do is post them (or their titles) anywhere, even here. I have a lot of time. After all, you can become isekai truck victim at any day, any time.
>>3992779 i mean, half of >>3956928 aren't on nepchan. most of wodicon/viprpg/motenai rpgs aren't there, most of western indie stuff isn't there, a lot of steamslop is also missing. bangumi/backloggd have a a lot of non-porn stuff that's also missing
either wait until the interest in rpgm rises organically or add an api for ai agents (or a whitelisting mechanism)
