IMPORTANT INFORMATION The one year anniversary of thirst's 2.00 update is coming later this month, on May 28th. It's possible the translation could drop around that time.
Can I parley that once it comes, that you all don't too? I'd rather this place not be tainted with the rotten stench of "mana" all over, it's already bad enoug h
>>3985655 Reda is one of hakika’s favorite girls, it’s why she was his profile icon on ci-en for a long time, and why she’s still used for the Q&A article headers. Hakika said he wanted to have Reda return sometime too, since she was popular enough in that one poll Vyner and Olivia won. Said poll was for being a marriage candidate in kludge’s update.
>>3985918 Really hard to pick a top 1, but one song that I think deserves a lot of recognition in particular is the classic Blight dungeon 5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyjGNLtd86Q
would you love this series if it were still like the era of myth games where there is no on screen sex? i feel like the majority of the appeal is these girls love MC and will plap him until he's twitching drooling mess to the point some of them have reverse mating press scenes through I only remember Shelia's from Blight's the most just for how extremely lewd that pose was for someone who was rather decently dressed, I expected it to be more like say Tirma or Pretty's scene through my virgin self always believed that girls perfer the rolling hips in circles movement over the up and down plap plap plap movement, I'm not brave enough to actually fact check that.
>>3986219 I already rarely ever masturbate to the H-scenes in h-games whenever I play them so yeah. The sex has always been a bonus for me rather than the main appeal. In general with eroge in fact, I generally like the sex less for the sex itself, and more for the fact that the game being 18+ by nature means there's more freedom for the author to just write whatever the hell they want without holding back. >>3986261 Glad to know I'm not the only one who blasts hakika's music in the car.
>>3986219 I would like the series but I would not love it or continue playing. I would need the lore/plot to progress faster/more meaningfully if there was less sex. Part of the current appeal is nice, comfy adventures with the gals who love and plap manatank, with an overarching plot and interesting world building. The actual battle gameplay never appealed to me, but that is true for me of most non srpg jrpgs. Since the plot could be faster, that leaves the comfy sex adventures. If we take out the sex, I'd either need faster plot or we'd need to double down on fleshing out the characters.
>>3986219 I would definitely, considering I'm playing through the Era of Myth games now and like them just as much as Sequel. Hakika's writing is charming and fun and he still sprinkles fanservice here and there like showing off Shake's (clothed) fat butt and tits in the Ghost Path completion rewards
>>3986219 It’s kind of weird, since I think if these games weren’t eroges, they probably never would’ve gotten attention in the west. It could’ve very much been just like Tobiden, which was out for years and years in Japanese only before finally being translated into English recently. Personally, no I don’t think I would’ve played them. Or even discovered them at all. Hell, I never even knew about the series at all until 2020.
>>3986343 Fate/stay night set an example. Pandering to gooners can get you the "came for the porn, stayed for the story" kind of fame. Black Souls definitely would have stayed obscure if it didn't have a rape button. SEQUEL even more obscure if it didn't have sex so integrated in the story.
When the mainstream market is out of reach, it's better to be described as "unexpectedly compelling" rather than "it's just good".
>>3986353 > When the mainstream market is out of reach, it's better to be described as "unexpectedly compelling" rather than "it's just good". That’s a good way of putting it, damn.
>>3986764 Up to you. There really isn’t that much lore to it anyway, aside from what the true final boss has. I’d just move on to Silver Tower and Ghost Path 2, those are some of my favorite era of myth games.
>>3986662 >>3986729 That fat cow is why I picked Hollowwald as my first ero-RPG to translate. >>3986876 Could happen depending on how long it is. So long as my life stays blessedly boring, I can put all my energy into translating. And if it turns out that Qudere's situation has changed (shit can happen out of nowhere) such that he doesn't see himself finishing Thirst and is willing to pass the baton, I'd pick it up and give it priority over my other projects.
>>3986963 >So long as my life stays blessedly boring This man is about to start dating three women at once right before Hollowwald releases, I already know
>>3986968 I meant as in as long as I don't get run over or break my hands or something like that, but if I have to live in interesting times I guess it would be better if said times were pleasant.
>>3987697>>3986963 >And if it turns out that Qudere's situation has changed (shit can happen out of nowhere) such that he doesn't see himself finishing Thirst and is willing to pass the baton I'm convinced this "Qudere" is figment of anon's imagination and doesn't even exist! There is probably no one translating anything but anons have convinced themselves this kind of magical translator exists and is actually translating it right at this moment!
>>3988033 predicting it now, much like how thirst only had 2 scenes in it's demo hollowald will have 2 as well wither they'll be animated or not I don't know, i think he said all scenes were animated this go around or maybe he said 10 scenes per party member and some of them are animated, either way the two who get those scenes are certainly gonna be the sister and the angel
>>3988185 Thirst had 4 scenes in the demo. I think around 4 scenes is par for the course for the demos, but I remember kludge's and IR's demos only had 3 scenes as well
>>3988186 oh right, I only remember Nazuna's big butt sleepy blowjob scene and Prim's masturbation scene but there were two more scenes that take place later in the story and hakika showed them because in context the scenes don't spoil anything, through I remember neither one
>>3988033 Ohhhhh I really like that. After Innocent Rules I'm really glad he's going back to a darker game. He's at his best when doing narrative dense darker stuff.
>>3988380 What makes you think the story is dark in this game? we have a male protagonist who seems human and can actually fight, he may have mana tank face but he seems to speak as well, but it seems as if he's gonna be sexually bullied going by that pic of the sister, she looks way to happy to be touching her brother's penis.
Now that I think about it, the sexual dictations of the party let alone lewd cgi haven't been talked about much if at all for Hollowald have they? I can't remember if they were for Thrist's development cycle I wasn't around much for that, I was still reeling from the official loss of Subpar nd wondering if I should make a clean break, stick it out in hopes of a new hero rising or try to defeat that smug brat who says I can't learn japanese all the time.
>>3988381 The tone seems very somber with all the soundtracks he's been releasing. It's a bit more like Colony/ASYLUM than the other games. That's about all we have.
>>3988395 i haven't heard any hollowald tracks do they really sound that somber? Asylum's battle them certain comes to mind, it feels so detached and melochaloic
>>3988468 This is true, but hakika generally doesn't just throw in old leitmotifs for no reason. When a song is meant to call back to an old one or is reused, there's almost always a reason why in the context of where the song plays, aside from stuff like field and dungeon tracks that are often just generic tracks he made to reuse for whatever the fuck. Atline's motifs in particular pretty much never show up unless he's specifically connecting something to something else from that game.
>>3988542 ASYLUM's Ino boss theme referencing sharing a leitmotiff with Kludge's regular battle theme and Awake's regular battle theme. L.Depth sharing a bunch with Ashvale (and by extension EoM). Colony/Kludge having a boss theme that has the Atline/Haven leitmotiff.
He actually does just throw in old leitmotiffs sometimes.
>>3986764 >>3986769 Alright toughing it out I've beaten the first of the four postgame bosses and I can finally pinpoint exactly why this game feels so bad The party feels lopsided as fuck compared to the other hakika games I've played. Ryunas is the lynchpin of every single role except tanking, he has the most important buff (super heatup) the best damage option (10fold shot + arrow chaser from Zelga) and of course he's the party's main healer on top of it, so his turns feel twice as important as everyone else's It's just a really bad idea to make your main character the main healer but then also have them do all the typical main character stuff as well.
>>3986775 I've actually already played Silver Tower, it was the first one I played before I even knew there were more games. It's fucking impeccably designed and I can clearly see how much hakika learned from these older games as I go through them Crowel is my wife, I love her. Superbest girl.
>>3988831 Personally I felt Spica was the best actually, since she was both really good DPS and she was the tank. Ryunas is definitely the best flex character though. I used Arknoah for heals or random damage mainly and Zelga did whatever, I had him chase Spica's attacks usually. >>Crowel is my wife, I love her. Superbest girl. Based and crowpilled.
>>3988954 https://gitgud.io/SEQUELGOD/sequel-bin Blight is a little rough around the edges since it's the first game, but it's still great. Be sure to stick around for the postgame, it's practically half the game.
>>3988954 It's a "sequel" series to the Era of Myth games, which are informally called the prequel series. All the Sequel series games have (varying levels of optional) sexual content, each with a mostly femdom and monster girl bent, although much softer in both sorts of content than say Monster Girl Quest (unless you count the bad end optional scenes). The prequel/Era of Myth games are just well-made free RPG Maker games with no sexual content aside from slightly lewd bonus pictures once in a while.
>>3988967 Am I the only one that finds chickener farming oddly therapeutic? It's not even a big deal in these games either, you do it for like an hour or two and you're done.
>>3989392 Brutal Arena in the Nameless Village Ruins, there's a pool of different enemies for each round. The final round can be Yuris, Silver Dragon, Reva, Owen or Ranie.
>>3989529 The whole thread where that one mod the other guy tried to justify the ban would be hilarious if it wasn't so fucking sad. Imagine seething about fucking porn game of all things. Meanwhile stuff like Lona is allowed, fucking insane.
>>3989533 I have seen far worse in fag95, they had threads even for renpy VNs with semi-realistic DAZ goblins, guess fag95 are closet pedos and that's why they act oh so righteously against inoffensive loli.
>>3989535 I've noticed there's a subset of pedophiles that get really assmad at unrealistic loli characters for like purity test reasons, like lolibabas or lolipears, or just ones that don't act like children. It's a really weird thing. The very mod that purged SEQUEL and Vitamin Quest also uploaded some creepy lolishota incest WEG that looks straight out of ATF.
>>3989601 Actual pedos get butthurt that their derangement is looked upon in a more negative light than people who just jerk off to loli (at least in places like here). Same with dogfuckers and kemonomimi.
>>3989601 I noticed that too. They're always the ones that seem to lead the charge against this stuff, and anime in general. I have no idea why they do this.
Closest thing i can think of was furries getting mad at monstergirls because people accepted the latter more than the former.
>>3989601 >The very mod that purged SEQUEL and Vitamin Quest also uploaded some creepy lolishota incest WEG that looks straight out of AT >WEG Jesus Christ, that's just vile. A fucking WEG.
>>3989775 If I remember correctly a lot of these games require you getting the high ground to trade favorably on thrusts, and with MT being physically weaker than even the smallest monsters that would be difficult.
>>3989895 Depends a lot on the scene. Sometime he collapses after just 1 or 2 shots. Meanwhile monster girls in SEQUEL can effortlessly milk him to death without getting tired themselves.
>>3989601 I'm a honest to God lolicon and holy fuck did things turn bad for us post COVID. So much moral grandstanding everywhere and most of the time the people wagging their finger are the actual kid diddlers.
>>3990088 Yanie did it to him in Blight twice, Rabi kinda did it to him in the gacha game, Nordol kinda did it like that because she's so small I think someone in Thirst does it too but don't know who
>>3990373 Finally we’ll get to see everyone’s assets. Albeit, hakika might not spoil that much with the scenes. He didn’t post too many previews for thirst’s base game girls. He did for the two update party members though.
>>3990428 If it's not out and we hear nothing from Qudere by the time I'm done with the first version of Hollowwald and I'm looking for something new to translate, I guess I could start on it. That would be months from now though depending on how big Hollowwald itself is.
>>3990596 Yeah. If it really comes to that, I really wouldn't worry about it until you're done with Hollowwald. I still think thirst's translation could come out any day now.
>>3988937 Spica is definitely a lot more useful now that I got Drill Break, though she was borderline useless against the last of the four machines. Instead of trying to bother with Tenfold Flurry + Arrow Chase I've just been relying on consistent per-turn damage through Drill Break/Infinity Break/Onslaught and everything feels a lot smoother. What an asshole this guy was, though. Oh well, that's all four machines down, all that's left is the gear grind and true final boss, I suppose
>>3990683 And that's a wrap. Glad I came back to this after all, even if the final grind was pretty mindnumbing due to there being no easy way of farming money for upgrades... I only bothered getting one of the ultimate weapons. Next up is Ghost Path 2, I guess, since I've already done Silver Tower.
>>3990596 Yea for now I'd just focus on HOLLOWWALD if I were you. If by the time you've finished that there still isn't a Thirst TL out then it's safe to assume the Qudere TL isn't coming anymore.
>>3990771 Instead of grinding equipment in Ghost Path 1 and Erra Saga, I did reincarnation grinding instead. Just to get kinda close to ~600-750 of each stat for each party member. Stats can’t go over 999 in the VX games, and this applies to your team after buffs in battle too, so. Better equipment can only go so far.
>>3990867 Honestly calling it 'mindnumbing' is an exaggeration since my file capped out at only about 22 hours for (almost) 100% I reincarnated twice while grinding money and drops for gear, only got Zelga's final weapon and a few pieces of advanced armor, everyone else had their penultimate weapons instead Era of Myth games feel pretty light on the grind, even the postgames
>>3991056 The worst EoM postgame grind is in Ghost Path 2, simply because there’s too much stuff to do in that game. For a free game, I guess it’s a good thing you can get so many hours out of it though
How do i expboostmaxx in Liberty Step to try and get this Lvl 999 journey log entry I made weapon, armor and headgear with +50% exp boosts and i'm in the Expert's Habitat Depths, is there anything extra i can do
>>3991179 After you’ve got all your EXP boost equipment, use your Warlock, Storyteller and Martial Artist to kill the experts. The optimal strat for killing experts is this: Storyteller uses Word of Spurring on Warlock, Warlock uses Curse of Binding to bind and nullify evasion, Martial Artist kills with Crushing Blow. The last spot in your active party can be whoever you want, ideally someone that is strong enough to kill Experts normally when they're bound, or another Martial Artist. Put AGI brands on your Memorykeeper too, it'll matter for some of the later experts that you can farm. If you're not a high enough level for that one Memorykeeper skill, you can try Hunter's Search Shot or Fast Shot. For those, you'll want ATK.
>>3991547 >>3991548 dang, that's crazy, I especially didn't expect long dress girl look at her, she looks like the type who gives the bratty kid a cookie while scolding them not to talk with their mouth full, that doesn't look like a rapist, the horn girl however does and is, I fought her in blight, I remember that reverse mating press, I was impressed by the flexibility
>>3991813 Unironically, that scene and the amount of kissing stuff in recent eroge has altered my brain like that too. I can now see where hakika was coming from with Lusica’s fetishes. I’ve seen the light. Kissing is supreme.
>>3991774 Not a gachatard, but from what I've seen the BA community manages to gatekeep very well overall, BA players unhigendly loving cunny really scares the normgerms away.
>>3989627 It's a psychological defense mechanism called reaction formation. Also, put yourself in the head of a pedo looking for victims to groom for a moment, would you: >Go to the community that openly has minors in it, constantly has purity test that ultimately amount to nothing to divert attention and is overall way too accomodating to everyone? Or >Go to the community where everyone is called stuff like Cunnymolester or Lolifeetcultist with people openly discussing about wich Blue Archive loli has the tastiest pee, all while being constantly accused of pedophilia by the former group?
Historically, the fastest a translation suddenly gets finished is when someone else announces that they've begun translating something that the original person has been dragging their feet on
>>3992254 I don't wanna say or imply that Qudere is lazy, translating a game like that is a big endeavor and I don't see you doing it. Anyway the guy who's picking up Hollowwald TL has a track record of several EoM translations at a pretty good speed.
>>3992249 Better odds of my downfall happening than a Thrist TL seeing the light of day before 2029
>>3992254 The Thrist TL, legitimately and not trolling, does not exist anymore. It did at one point, but things changed and it hasn't been worked on since summer 2025.
By the time it becomes common knowledge it's vaporware Hollowwald TL will probably be halfway done, and in all likelihood Hollowwand TL anon will be the one to do it.
>>3992452 >The Thrist TL, legitimately and not trolling, does not exist anymore. It did at one point, but things changed and it hasn't been worked on since summer 2025. Anon, we had a tracker going for the translation until a few months ago when the f95 thread was deleted. Settle down with the theorycrafting and just be patient
>>3992455 oh wow that's crazy. what was the tracker at when it went done? surely there was a few months worth of work, given it's been a few months since then, haha...
>>3992603 It was at 440/558 when the F95 thread got deleted. For those who are curious, there's just short of a million characters (918748) in Thirst- or just about half a million (45806) "rows" (think of them as dialogue boxes- although some are just like item names/descriptions, this also applies to any regular dialogue box as well.)
These statistics came from opening 2.01 in T++, without accounting for scripts.
>>3992455 When there is no communication or way to observe the progress its natural that people get skeptical. When was the last time people heard anynthing from that guy? If it was over a month ago thats really long time of radio silence on thing that supposedly 95% done or whatever people are claiming.
I've got a couple months between the translation that I'm finishing up now and August when Hollowwald releases, and since I've heard Histoire's creator is opposed to TL's, I don't have anything planned for my next translation. Qudere, if you see this, please say something, or I might start working on the Thirst TL soon. I'm not even demanding that the TL's done soon. I for one can wait and I consider sniping someone's TL to be a stupid and shitty thing to do, but if I saw a bunch of people excited for the game I'm translating after radio silence for quite a while then I would at least give them a couple words as an update, especially if some of them were doubting if there ever was a translation happening to begin with. Basically, I'd just like to know that there really has been a Thirst translation happening.
Magical attackers kinda SUCK because if an enemy reflects magic they get hit with their own MAT power, while physical attackers get hit with the enemy's ATK if countered.
>>3993013 >I'm not even demanding that the TL's done soon. I for one can wait and I consider sniping someone's TL to be a stupid and shitty thing to do Is this some sort of translator honor agreement? Honestly if you like something and want to translate it go for it, why would it matter if someone else is also translating it? It could also be interesting comparison from your own translation perspective to see how someone else would translate something, might give you new ideas or insight on your own work. or just go lmao this guy didn't understand this phrase at all!
>anons freaking out about last 5%, plus proofreading and final polishing lasting a month Sub-par and the lockdown spoiled you, a month for 5% means 20 months for the full thing, a reasonable timeframe for such big game translated in someone's spare time. Wait a month or two more before doomposting.
>>3993235 actually yeah there is, trying to snipe someone else's translation project can get people really pissed off, Paradox went through it several times in it's life as have other h games even this franchise had people who would rather get sub par's blessing before trying to work on innocent rules or era of myth games as they didn't want the smoke, this used to be a big thing in the anime and manga communties as well back in the days of fansub groups like Dattebayo, Rumble, Arlongpark subs, etc where they would take an anime and put the release on their sites, it was even worse with manga translation groups, those people would flat out go to war with each other over who could translate which series and who couldn't and you would have a group who has good translations but their RAWs were horrible because they didn't have a resource in japan to get them the actual pages, then you would have a group who had horrible translations but their scan quality was crazy good and you had people who managed to get entire series on sites like Youtube, Dailymotion and even porn sites rather than run their own video uploader and get around copyright strikes via mirroring the video.
>>3993240 >it was even worse with manga translation groups, those people would flat out go to war with each other over who could translate which series and who couldn't I never really cared much about the manga translation scene but this sounds funny to me. How do you even stop someone from translating something? Are they just gonna seethe and defame translation group or something if someone "steals" their translation idea? Its not like they could stop the people from translating.
>>3993266 Depends a lot. Sometimes the war just keeps on going, sometimes a group just stops bothering to keep it going, sometimes harassment makes people stop, etc. In the best case it's just a matter of "hey man, I'm still actively translating that" and "oh sorry mb"
You have to take one character from previous games who has yet to be the lead character and make them the first heroine of the next game. Who are you choosing?
>>3985918 i like battle 6 from blight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ1lgdn4uQ8&list=RDpQ1lgdn4uQ8&start_radio=1 I imagine and anime fight with Vorpal in the woods while that plays
>>3993596 Yanie. Mostly because a significant majority of her scenes are simple. She needs more variety scenes with her mouth, butt, and feet... boobs too. After that, I will be satisfied.
>>569199872 Remember that time at 95% I said it would be a few months and you guys laughed at me? This is good though, don't bully my boy Q. I just can't resist saying I told you so.
Do you think at some point after someone fucks mana tank and their mood is better and the others notice it they all immediately know it was because of that and start getting jealous? the closest I know is that anisa saying mana tank's name instead of refering to him as "man" made Rabi immediately recognize what happened between them,I thought for sure Auris would notice the change in her mother's demeanor but she never caught on
>>3994428 oh yeah, the night after Uula first fucked mana tank had Nyx tease her about it the following morning "It felt good didn't it?" still, that scene was weird, Uula was freaking out because she didn't know what was happening to her, why she was feeling that way, why she did anything she did that night and then it hit, that was her first time ever feeling lust, in a world where men are next to non existent she likely never experienced the feeling of lust before and it scared her, however if that's the case how come other girls in the series who've never seen a man before act that way, if anything alot of them seem to know exactly what this feeling is and what to do with it, Auris in particular seemed to know all about lewd acts.
a serious woman who turns into an absolute nympho is the best no wonder hakika keeps doing it, can't wait to see who that will be in thirst, doubt it's prim, she seems like a troll
>>3994611 >>3994549 >>3994341 Far too much effort went into this character for her to just be a one-off. Her design has existed for years prior to Thirst.
I'm thirsty but I can see a town not too far off. I'll just have to persevere and keep walking towards it one step at a time, patiently, never rushing.
decided to play colony but every game that i open in fullscreen got its aspect ratio screwed and cuts off a bit on the sides. f++ patches already applied. is there any way to fix it?
>>3994957 nope, never using it. checked nvidia panel, windows scaling, overrid dpi scaling on the game .exe, etc. been at it for an hour. but every game cuts off the corners. blacksouls has the same issue. never changed anything but i guess something fucked shit up and i have no idea what. normal games work fine, but the rpg maker ones dont.
>>3994944 If you recently changed computers/screens, the config might be messing things up. Deleting it is fine since a new one gets generated on launch.
>>3995549 it's more that they post like sequel is the only hentai game they've played, and i highly doubt that. I don't horny post that often cause i know there are lewder games out there.
>>3995567 Out of all the new monster designs she was by far the most interesting. I don't even like farts, but I still asked for her to be included. And hey it would be far from the first time that Hakika gives me a new kink.
>>3995567 >>3995581 It seems she'll have a more standard scene before the obvious brap scene, probably some Dita-esque ass sniffing and licking if I had to guess. I'm down for that, honestly her design with the ass zipper is pure sex even if I'm not into the braps.
>>3994826 The naming schema for the series so far is SEQUEL noun or SEQUEL verb. We’ve had two noun games (blight and colony) and three verb games (awake, kludge and thirst). Therefore, SEQUEL 6 will probably have a noun attached to its title. Knowing what the next SEQUEL game’s setting is, my guess is something curse-related, like SEQUEL scourge.
>>3995567 >has a special bad ending >dying from her farts >"Oh my! You're cumming as you suffocate to death!~" Not even a smellfag but I can't wait for the brapkino
>>3995765 That’s how hakika gets you! He introduces a new fetish to you while making it attractive in some other way, like with a cute femboy face or a nice butt
>>3995792 Armpits were ok, but Hakika made me love them. Didn't care for licking buttholes much, then Hakika made L.Depth I'm not into farts, but if anyone has the potential to change that it's Hakika.
>>3996288 I don't think hakika was thinking that far ahead with any calamity-related stuff in blight. To me, he "blight" was simply the destruction of the previously flourishing society of Ordowald. It's why you find Atline in ruins, the Cadena family's all dead, etc.
