It would be cool if that and the old pulpy Sword & Sorcery type rpgs came back, but sadly the industry moved on into gayer styles and the audience isn't even aware that those old adventures are a thing.
>>3993782 Grailquest had funny brit humourous but keeps getting ridiculously harder with each sequel. Ninja meme was probably worse and super serious ninja biz. and i heard Redeemer sucked.
>>3993777 Are all 5 good? Didn't know it made it's way to vidya. I like playing adventure books from ttrpg alone. It's much faster and I get to experience the pretty lame adventures the writers come up with. This however looks like it has potential. >>3993782 Which year?
>>3994504 5? i thought Sorcery! was 4 books? not sure how they converted them into an apps. There are also other Fighting Fantasy books that got converted into apps. but do you really wanna pay money for them?
>>3994512 >>Warlock of Firetop Mountain >Qrd it's the 1st Fighting Fantasy book published. basic slay the wizard plot, and exploring le dungeon. i guess the dungeron crawling people liked it a lot so they kept making games based on it.
>>3994859 >entire text adventure genre? pretty boring. and filled with obscure puzzles, and dungeon crawlin. gamebooks/CYOA forced you to make multiple choice decisions instead.mostly. not the same.
>>3994976 and parser based text adventures have been pretty much replaced by twine CYOA (often queer-themed) crap the last IFComp results were depressing
>>3993782 anyhoo i think Bloodsword series should be converted into /vrpg/. difficulty is just about right. though some 2 classes are better than the other 2, and the narration is very much written for multiplayer with DM which is kinda interdasting for gamebooks at that time. also pro-christian plot and ending.
apparently republished 12 yrs ago on amazon paperback and kindle.
