Sure each one gets an ending of their own for beating rhear but I wanted each character to have a personal quest

I have done all endings with all characters and done multiple maso runs. This game is a masterpiece, and I think it's better than the first game (which is also extremely good)

With trial and error I think everyone can agree it's a spectrum and yes it's hard to objectively pinpoint how much is too much. Personally I feel like a game built entirely on game over states without giving the player a fighting chance to foresee them is a novelty its very best, assuming runbacks aren't instant or near instant. And what a novelty it was, F&H seemed to have stirred many people's imaginations with its way of doing things, which I'd argue was already apparent before it ever got popular.
