While i don´t really like the MC design i´m glad they kept the Toriyama like artstyle (even though he is gone) and tone. I was afraid they were going to deliver on that dark and edgy style they promised. Hopefully they kept the combat system as well. We have no need of ARPG mechanics and the like.

I think I genuinely hate how intentionally rote Dragon Quest is as a franchise. Same stupid slime, same stupid dragon, same crap quality theme music all because it reminds late 40 something salary men of the last time they were allowed to do things beyond drink and work themselves to an early grave.
