>>3993304 >1 and 2 both get remakes ahead of 4 Very interesting.. I wonder how they will handle it. I can't see them remaking them from scratch in that time.
>>3993363 They do suck. I doubt see them making a decent game. Technically it could be wonderful, like an improved Dd2. Unfortunately devs are retarded. It's skeleton key, right? Texas clown college attendees funded the studio and plenty of cuckold preachers already joined.
>>3993304 i imagine it will be very blacked and gay. and talk about genocides of "freedom fighters" out of nowhere and all the fighter fighters are pre-op trannies with big dicks.
>>3993304 Great, I hope its a 1:1 100% faithful remake just with better graphics, so hopefully every zoomer will realize how overrated and garbage this game actually was. Since 95% of the people who praise this game didn't actually bother to play it. For a game that gets shilled every daily on the internet it sure has low player count.
how do you remake BG2+Throne of Bhaal without doing multiple game installments like the FF7 remake? now I'm reminded how much content was packed into older games and how much we've lost...
They try to milk bg3's success but there will never be such a masterpiece as this game again. As far as bg1+2 , bg1 was ok for it's time but very small and completely broken gameplay-wise. 2 was extremely linear and honestly not as good. bg3 trumps all these games by miles.
>>3993530 Maybe i did and i hope i'm proven wrong again. but honestly i cant think of any other rpg where you have so many options as to how to aproach a situation and that your choices actualy have meaningful impact. This is the essence of an rpg.
>>3993553 all the other studios are acting like it's a lighting in a bottle. absolutely no one is trying to copy the formula because it actually requires some work.
>>3993522 Lol. The game is terrible and barely anyone that bought it finished it. It's impressive that they managed to sell that many copies via viral marketing, but the game is still shit.
>>3995730 >work *money Even Larian gave up on it eventually. That's why it's frontloaded and lacking a lot of their planned ideas like all RPGs. Doesn't matter though, an indie game can get inspired by it. You don't have to mocap everything to make a good game.
>>3993304 >remake game whose original works fine on newer systems >remake game whose original works fine on newer systems, and has an "enhanced edition" with modern qol Remakeslop is pathetic
>>3995888 >the aggressive pr and marketing plus a cult-status IP is the only reason that mediocre game got anywhere but enough about baldur's gate 1 and 2
>>3995900 >but enough about baldur's gate 1 and 2 Tell me you’re a zoomer without telling me you’re a zoomer. The market was tiny in the late 90s by comparison to today and cRPGs were a niche subgenre for nerds. Marketing consisted of print ads in magazines.
>>3995903 i'm most likely older than you. i played goldbox games before the 90s. >cult-status IP describes forgotten realms and ad&d aka, small niche subgenre with cult status amongst nerds. marketing existed amongst those people because we read, as nerds, and bg marketing was extensive. they even mixed the gameplay with a popular genre like rts to bring in outsiders.
it's the same situation, just a different scale. you bioware tards aren't elite or anything and the ie games are far from a sacred cow.
