THIS is your hero?

Currently on a personal quest to solo 58V with bloody berserker albus. I get pretty close but there is this small period of hp between FR kicking in and not being topped off that lends him to randomly getting a fat 3k damage crit. Is there any gear I can slap on him to reduce crit damage? Pic rel is my build. Unfortunately his defense slots are in high demand so I can't slot in something like metallic muscle armor.
>>
>>2365160
Draki's Perfect Scale has crit damage reduction

Also I can't imagine Kylie going along with any mission to kill Ryo, or Bianca going along with any mission to kill Yuri, and both Tyra and Misty work(ed) for the same troubleshooter company so that would be pretty awkward. Then there's the possibility that Ari and Alisa are related.

>>2365531
Don't think so, it just seems to be an edit of one of the CGs where Albus is briefing the team. Some people seem to think the story of Banished Children is going to put their group against Albus's company but there's not really anything to indicate that's the case.

Well, I'm not saying they'll actually fight Albus' company or anything
I just wanted to make a joke about 'Ari's team would turn into an anti-government force', using that CG of Albus...

I think Dandylion should have made quests things you couldn't miss, but that you can skip, so you don't end up replaying the same mission twice or thrice because you missed out on a quest marker.
>>
>>2366010
Those are a lot of spiderwebs.
>>
>>2366016
Yeah, that's pretty annoying. On my first playthrough I missed out on quests completely until I had finished the base game, where I then speedran all of them with my level 45 team. There's some interesting dialogue between party members that join later and the quest givers if you do hold off on doing the quests, or when doing the special quest missions like with Giselle and the yashas and negooris.
On replays it's less frustrating since you'll have an idea of which quests are coming up so you know which missions to hold off on. I think Dandylion might just do away with quests altogether in the sequel though since there's hardly any in DLC1 and none in DLC2.
>>
>>2366047
That's a good idea. Maybe you can keep the spirit of quests alive by having non story missions have a little briefing and a set award.

I'm kind of mixed on the quests. The rewards are generally useful and they give a ton of characterization to the town NPCs, but some of them send you to really shitty blue maps and few things suck more than finishing an hour and a half of Starlight Junction only to find out it has 3 quests and not 2 so you have to do it again.
I feel like that's an implementation issue that can be solved without scrapping the whole system, though.

it annoys me that the quest maps disappear from the mission list on completion so you have to go talk to randoms in shooter street to replay them. some randomisation would be nice too, or let the rescue quests (Bebo etc) trigger for any mission in the right district/jurisdiction

Finally an upgrade for Cyrus sneakers. I hate how low level base types have such overpowered non-armour/HP stats. +15 base speed is so hard to beat.
Poacher sneakers with their insane accuracy also bother me, but at least it's reasonable to offset that with masteries, rings or weapons.
>>
>>2366779
Dragon Tattoo Sneakers are the best sneakers in the game. I throw that shit on misty/albus and that -5 AT is way more significant than you would think.
>>
>>2366791
Yeah I love them. There are a few items like that where Dandylion really wanted to make you upgrade from whatever you were using before. Sanson's gun is another one. Really hard to replace that, even with Crimson Crow tier items.
>>
>Ray with flash nades
>witch anne with 100% blind chance
>black mage Sion
I had this whole rape squad setup for mungo king only for Sion to kill him back to back by using his SP AoE attack from around a corner. I knew BM was the raw damage class but I did not expect for him to 1 shot mungo king through max difficulty+all modifiers twice and most of the multihits were through FR too.
>>
>>2366823
I remember casually one-shotting Mungo King with a sniper Giselle build that I mostly used to chain kill fodder enemies after I switched up a bunch of my other characters' builds to better counter Mungo King (and they still got one shot by him).
Some people (understandably) think Mungo King is bullshit with his raw stats and free turn fuckery but it's neat having a high-health enemy to actually show the damage difference between characters/classes/builds when every other enemy at that point in the game either dies in 1-2 hits or has either Impulse Fields or Damage Absorbing which caps how much damage a single hit can do to them. Without Mungo King there would be no practical point for damage maximalism in builds since most characters can easily get enough damage to nuke everything else, especially if they have upgraded high-level weapons.
>>
>>2366823
I love black mage like you wouldn't believe. I don't care if battle mage is better, I just love BIG numbers and wasting 90% of my damage on overkilling.
>>
>>2366843
I just wish he didn't have the free turn shit. It makes killing him heavily depend on where his spergy AI wants to go.
>>
>>2366864
It only triggers when he sees you spend action points in his line of sight. Use V and abuse corners so he doesn't see you. Blind is godlike for similar reasons.

Really hope they either tune down crit damage in the sequel or give the player more defensive options to counter it. You can stack 250% crit damage reduction and still get 1 shot if you aren't HP stacking into the 5k+ range.
>>
>>2367374
250% reduction is pretty powerful. It's pretty much just MAs, Black Mages and Wind users that can one-shot you at that point.
I do think crit damage is too high in general, though. The game would be in a much better place if everyone had half the crit damage they currently do.
>>
>>2367339
Based, we love Heixing here.
>>
I didn't screenshot it because I was NOT expecting it, but this Red Sand Sniper just got a natural miss with Punishing Shot against Giselle.
She only has 3.25% dodge chance, but she's got High Ground Sniping + Shadow in the Dark + Blind Spot. Even though I'm pretty sure High Ground Sniping wasn't in effect because she's not elevated, I'm amazed that's all it took to somehow avoid a shot that would otherwise require 300%+ evasion to dodge.
>>
PHAT upgrade from killing Mash. Literally every stat Giselle wants.
>>
>>2367495
Also here's her board. The only thing that changed since that mission is I could slot Punishing Shot in. I really want Eyes of the Sniper as well, but I haven't worked out what to sacrifice to free up the Ability slot yet.
>>

>>2367511
Im surprised you arent running shout of subconcious on giselle to deal with their punishing shots.
>>

>>
The universe owes me a Bibi gf.
>>
>>2367532
Imo shout of subconcious on heixing/giselle feels worth it since you can just ignore sniper positioning and AT rape them off whiffed responsive attacks.

You can also meme build giselle to get free turns every dodge with alchemist ray sending her to low hp and triggering that one individual mastery.

>>
>>2367495 (me)
I did several rounds of math which were all wrong about the incoming accuracy that led to that dodge
The less thorough gist is that the sniper who took the shot had about 206% accuracy
Blind Spot + Sniper in Shadow knocked 56% off of that, the distance penalty lopped off another 13% (26% normally, but those guys have Gunbarrel Reinforcement) to bring it down to 137%
Which means Giselle would have had to have been considered to be in full cover for that shot to miss, which is 40% + 10% from Conceal for an 87% hit chance.
If she was bleeding, or the sniper had a Concentration potion active, that dodge would have gone back to being impossible.
High Ground Sniping + Elevated Position would make it more reasonable, but still pretty coinflippy.
>>
This would have been deathless if I didn't lose one VHPD unit. I also got pretty lucky with the Serpents being on the first corner I checked.
Really tactical map. I remember when I used to barely squeeze through it.
>>
Here's the numbers of my main party members. I also had a Fighter Mungo deployed that killed a few things.
59S is a really kino Misty map. Lots of opportunity to be sneaky and kill stuff on the backline. Also night time for easy Wild Cat Darkness Hunter dodges as long as she doesn't end her turn Exposed against any rangers or take any direct hits from them.
>>
If only I had 1 more property limit... It's going to have to wait until I can Pascal this guy.
I'm still playing with Limits to Growth and none of my party is over level 58 yet, so I'm going to run 58V next and then do the endgame.
>>
>>2367634
>I did several rounds of math which were all wrong

ESP misty is surprisingly good. Idk how but with only +40% water damage and ~1k ESP she still manages to kill multiple enemies by pissing on them.
>>
What kind of missions would you guys like in TS:EC? For me, it would be a mission that recaps the previous story except Irene is giga buffed while everybody else is nerfed into uselessness.
>>
My Mungo got 9 kills and ~22k damage
My Irene sucks so badly on this map holy fuck. She did almost nothing, got perma locked down by mungos despite the entire party being with her until she died.
Normally I like this map, but with this party it was like 10 minutes of gameplay and 60 minutes of wondering if any of my units will ever take another turn. Dense + fast enemies are utter cancer for the player in this game.

Anons dont notice this but mungo AI fucks over melee units that don't have berserker or AT immunity buffs hard. If a single thrower mungo tosses an ice nade melee mungos will never approach for whatever reason. This fucks over irene giga hard because she has no AT stall prevention and all of her martial arts masteries which reduce her AT off fighting in melee range never trigger for the 240+ AT that ice mist hangs around.
>>
>>2368094
I see, I always like it when an anon sends a bunch of screenshots of a playthrough.
>>
>>2368318
>If a single thrower mungo tosses an ice nade melee mungos will never approach for whatever reason
It's because the enemy AI doesn't like to walk on tiles with negative effects, so when they cover you in ice fog the melee AI avoids it and doesn't attack.
>>
>>2368318
>Anons dont notice this but mungo AI fucks
Trust me Anon, we know.
>>
>>2368264
I see a lot of people in PVP with similar builds. Distorted Heart is really popular on her and Sion.
>>
I just realised how broken the level 60 purple bracelets are. Magic Armor and Iron Wall are Concentration states, so it's +20% damage reduction for Sion in addition to 1000+ HP
Other easy methods for triggering it:
>Magic Acceleration
>Shout of Concentration
>Shrunken Scale (especially with the Misty shadowtank memebuild)
It should also work while Weakness Exposed as well, since it says "concentration state" and not "concentration buff".
>>
>>2367605
NTA but farming the serpents and Pascal from joint drills is a pain because you also have to fight the super destrons which don't really drop anything useful after 100% information and can just take a long time to kill.
Farming Mash and Ortega is really easy though with that one Misty solo mission. Just make sure to equip wave kick to screw over Mash and use the movement indicator to find out which tile Ortega is hiding on. None of Gaia's gear really appeals to me so I don't care about farming him.

>>2368506
I never bothered to look at which status effects are actually considered concentration so I ignored that item but that seems like top-tier gear now that you've pointed it out wtf

I got to DLC1 last year and a couple missions in. Then I decided to do a little monster farming and went to that mission where you have to escort Kylie to three gates that has a unique Tima.
Somehow I got Giselle one-shot by the tima and I got so butthurt, I haven't played the game since.

BASED RETARD
There is no time waste involved. Every time you hit an enemy to low HP is a possible taming opportunity. If you want a specific enemy then you just blast it with Albus' wind gust or Leton kick and go for it. Starlight Prison is an unnecessary cheese.
I've tamed literally hundreds of beasts across my playthroughs. People overestimate how hard it is because they don't understand it.

The devs are pretty cool. They reply a lot to reviews, even negative ones.
>>
>>2369472
>>2369483
The system is shit and exists to waste your time. When people bitch about the game being too grindy the taming system is the biggest contributor to it. Its not fun spending time tinkering together a team to tame only to waste 50 minutes isolating an enemy, lowering its hp, initiating the tame, and then an AI enemy runs over and tries to smack Giselle triggering Ray to cover with a can kick from across the map killing your taming target.

You guys are mixing up frustration at a time wasting system as being a skill issue. But taming exists to make a sub class of a single party member function properly. Put that in perspective, out of the 12 playable characters totaling 24 classes as possible ways to play only one has this insanely time consuming and annoying gameplay system attached to make it work. And that's before leveling it, the autism with the four tiers of individual masteries, tame only masteries being attached to random garbage animals, etc.
>>
>>2369503
You've been filtered so hard that none of what you're writing is correct
>>
>>2369503
>waste 50 minutes isolating an enemy, lowering its hp, initiating the tame, and then an AI enemy runs over and tries to smack Giselle triggering Ray to cover with a can kick from across the map killing your taming target
That's literally a skill issue. Shit like this is trivial to avoid if you have even the most basic situational awareness.

>You guys are mixing up frustration at a time wasting system as being a skill issue.
You are coping with being bad at the game by blaming the game instead of learning how to be better.
>>
>>2369508
>>2369510
>skill issue
>filtered
>50 tamed animals in inventory
???
>>
>>2369514
By your own admission you need 50 minutes just to catch one animal, and even then you apparently still fail enough for you to sperg out about it. Choosing to autistically spend 80 hours being shit doesn't somehow make you not shit.
>>
>>2369514
It's skill issue to tame that many monsters and still have no idea how to actually do it, like the people who spend 2 hours to do 58v with an almost complete party wipe only to claim they "didn't get filtered" by Mungos.
>>
>>2369503
>>2369514
You're correct.
I wouldn't actually want taming to be changed or removed from the game, but it's undoubtedly a frustrating mechanic.
>>
>>2369518
>>2369521
>this gameplay system is annoying
>skill issue! skill issue!
Let me ask you: what does taming existing in its current state add to the game? As it is currently that whole aspect of the game can be easily ignored, so why is it so annoying?

And its not like its just the act of taming the animal is the most annoying part of tames. You also have species specific masteries hidden behind raising them, so even if you grab just one named animal in a playthrough you also have to tame several shitter animals and level them for their growth masteries. Then you have another layer of bullshit in the form of the dozen of so individual masteries that tweak their board slots and the first two tiers that can never be changed until you get 60V's gene editor.

It all feels so arbitrary, and I suspect Dandy will heavily rework the whole taming system in the sequel because as is its like a KRPG system that was lifted and shoved in. Because it being such a timesink makes sense in a KRPG where your character's class is all about tames so you can just focus on that.

>>2369604
Drones are bullshit too. So many modules on 1 of unique robots that you have to kill a dozen times for max info unlocks.
>>
>>2369449
>Somehow I got Giselle one-shot
yeah that tends to happen. Giselle being easy to kill once anyone closes the distance is what keeps her (relatively) balanced compared to the rest of the party. Once you learn to use her range effectively and build around minimizing some of her other weaknesses (like speed/AT and vigor) then she becomes arguably the most valuable member of the team, only getting screwed over by enemies that require multiple hits to kill or have good range or mobility (of which there are plenty of in the end game, unfortunately). If you can get cover bonds on her with some other ranged characters (Heixing and Ray are popular choices for this), that will help you avoid getting punished for positioning her badly or when you just get unlucky.

>>2369462
>>2369467
I like taming because it shakes things up from the usual "kill everything on the map as fast as possible". It makes the game suddenly feel a lot more tactical when builds are usually more important than tactics. The act of taming itself isn't that bad once you build and play around it. Starlight shield and Giselle's starting gear item lets her take a couple of hits so taming doesn't get canceled.
What is cancer is the grinding you have to do after taming to level up a beast, especially to unlock taming masteries. I wish class exp carried over between beast evolutions at the very least.
Training masteries are generally better than instinct/genetic masteries and can be changed so there's no reason not to just choose those in regards to evolution masteries.

Most of the unlockable modules are on the 60S destrons which you'll have to farm anyways to unlock everything for drones. There's only a couple that aren't which can be found on the 52V bicrons if I remember right.

>Most of the unlockable modules are on the 60S destrons which you'll have to farm anyways to unlock everything for drones. There's only a couple that aren't which can be found on the 52V bicrons if I remember right.
I just checked and those modules (Highly Efficient Refrigerator/Flamethrower) can actually be gotten from the drones on 60S so you don't even need to farm the bicrons. So correction: every module (along with the best drone equipment) can be gotten from 60S meaning you only need to farm one stage for all of them.
>>
>>2369749
Its been a while but I'm pretty sure the unique drones from the 52V mission do have one of a kind modules. I remember farming them alongside the 60S destrons.
>>
>>2369751
I just checked and couldn't find any that also didn't appear on at least either the camouflage drone or violett destron, though I also remember farming them before starting DLC2. I also farmed 39V for all the modules that can be found there before starting the DLCs which is waste of time looking back, now knowing that everything drops from 60S.

Also I just found this out when looking at all the destrons' stuff, the leap and slash attack they all have is unavoidable and has some pretty gnarly scaling. That explains all the times that attack killed my units.
>>
>>2369776
The unavoidable is so Dandy can troll the player with that No. 1 Troubleshooter cheevo by having the destron run across the map to randomly 1 shot giselle.

>Actually I'm great at catching animals I already have 50 of them!
>Actually catching animals isn't even hard taming just sucks because I need to get masteries!
Keep moving those goalposts, scrublord. I hope some day you'll mature enough to be able to simply admit you suck at something without shattering your fragile ego. It's okay though, you don't need to min-max everything if it causes you this much butthurt. You can just tame a random Tima right off the bat and be set for most of the game without needing to ever git gud.
>b-but it's grindy!
It really isn't, unless you're terminally retarded. The only real grind is for endgame minmaxing, and everything about engame minmaxing is grindy. That's not a taming things, that's just how the endgame works. Mastry farming, equipment farming, crafting, drone building, taming, etc. are all things where you can get most of the benefit without any real effort, just by playing the game, but if you really want to min-max the shit out of everything you need to grind. It's just how the game is set up.

If you're too stupid to do it properly, just ignore it. The fact that even someone like you can still finish the game without interacting with any of that is a feature, not a bug.

Has anyone ever made a good build that makes use of the Call of <element> abilities?
The more I think about it, the less good they seem. On top of costing a lot of vigor, you generally don't want to convert elemental abilities to physical because elemental damage is less resisted and gets a lot of damage multipliers from masteries. Going in the other direction is probably a bit better but you'll lose out on any physical type specific damage bonuses and base physical abilities typically have little to no ESP scaling which doesn't help ESP-focused builds.

I was testing Call of Fire on MA Irene to see if the blunt/physical specific masteries were worth using with it, along with being able to benefit from the armorbreak from Rend, but didn't notice much benefit over any other typical MA Irene build. She already has an ability that can ignore block so she doesn't benefit much from the Fight King set. I guess converting the attacks to physical helps against getting hit with an overwatch silencing shot before she can land her attack, but most people are probably using DPS and/or lightning reflexes on her anyways.

Leton can probably make better use of Call of Ice; he has a more equal split of physical/ESP abilities with good reason to convert both, using the ability is great for superstar stacks since it uses 0 AP, and ice abilities converted to physical don't consume antifreeze (though that is hardly an issue). His extra ability slot means that it's also easier to fit it into a board.

I haven't gotten around to it yet but Misty and Albus might be able to make good use of physical-to-ESP conversion since they can get a lot of both attack and ESP stats from their weapons, Misty also gets free always hit from Tsunami with a conversion and Call of Water actually belongs to more than a single set unlike the other call abilities. Maybe there's a reason for Sion to convert his basic attack but his other abilities are almost always better used instead.

I've used Call of Water on Misty quite a bit. It does wonders for her melee damage and lets her apply guaranteed bleed without crits. In the postgame she can also use Tsunami with it to fix her accuracy.
>I guess converting the attacks to physical helps against getting hit with an overwatch silencing shot before she can land her attack, but most people are probably using DPS and/or lightning reflexes on her anyways.
It helps a bit against Red Sand Rangers who can't miss their Overwatch, but even though I've ran Call of Fire on her myself I've probably only switched to physical for that purpose twice ever.
Another really gimmicky use I've done with them before is Call of Wind on Albus with the mastery that reduces your AT by 2 compounding every time you use a wind attack outside your turn. That way he recovers significant AT on counterattacks in places where he's probably going to be stuck for a while, like in 47V's Yasha room. It's pretty gimmicky though, because you don't benefit from any slashing damage masteries while using it and Bladestorm can't trigger.
>>

IIRC there used to be a meme Call of Earth Anne build that took advantage of some of the Earth Masteries that only buff the user's physical attacks but I don't remember what those masteries are and I can't check right now.

I never moved the goalposts I just ran down the list of why a system I find annoying, and which a lot of people also find annoying, is annoying and frustrating for really no reason. In response to this you can only quadruple down on spamming git gud. I even posted my animal inventory to demonstrate I tamed plenty of animals. Taming is annoying because it has so many hoops to jump through, and it could easily be made less tedious than it currently is. Because with how it is the majority of players engage with it once or twice and then never bother with it again because of how annoying it is.

Hell that's what happened on my first playthrough of the game. I tamed ash and found the experience so annoying I just never touched it until well into DLC2 because I was bored with just using sniper.

I wonder if barbarian was supposed to be the pure T2 class of warrior similar to swordsman and great swordsman or thief and rogue, but Dandylion decided to make it warrior + marauder at some point in development because they realized Alisa could make use the slashing-focused marauder masteries, or if they were still planning to have Luna playable, it would give her barbarian as a second class from her base as a marauder.
None of the barbarian sets use any marauder masteries, and all but one enemy barbarian uses blunt weapons, but then again, so do all white knights despite that class having access to swordsman masteries - interestingly enough, some white knights do have swordsman masteries equipped that gives them literally no benefit, not even to activate a mastery set. Warrior + marauder does fit thematically with barbarian warrior, and warrior itself is a pretty damage-agnostic class, so I could be totally wrong about this though.

You're probably onto something because Alisa's NPC appearances are promoted from Swordsman, not Warrior, so they likely hadn't originally intended to give her Barbarian. Once they did, they probably threw in Marauder masteries to give her some more tools to play with.
>>
I wish there were Magic Knight and Battlemage sets that used this mastery since they can get more value from it with the additional class mastery compared to Black Mage. The mastery is still extremely good on its own without a set though, one of the highest-value single masteries in the game. It's cool that Witch has a set for it, and it's actually super good on Bianca since her personal mastery counts as an additional mastery type, meaning she can get the bonuses for having seven different types compared to Sion's Black Mage maximum of five different mastery types. Blue Eyebrow having access to four different class masteries also gets max bonuses from it.

I was checking the steam forums, and Banished Children is apparently at the final stages of development.

>final stages of development
This could mean anything desu, that post was from nearly 4 months ago. There are games still in "alpha" that have more features than most other games, and there are fully released games that are a broken mess with little content; there's no consistent development progress terminology between game devs. Judging from the post it sounds like they've gotten plenty of masteries and characters finished for when they go into early access, and now they're probably working on levels or waiting for assets to be finished. I don't really like the balance talk though, Dandylion's approach to balance in Abandoned Children was fine and if there's not going to be multiplayer in Banished Children then balance should be even less of a concern.

Also we still haven't gotten SP types and classes revealed for all the characters yet. I'm betting Hannah is probably earth, Claudia is water and Gravis is ice. I hope Faye is a wind martial artist with either battle mage or superstar as a second class. I really want a wind superstar for the valley wind shenanigans, but if she has some way of getting more than 4 performance slots then a dancer-focused MA would be good enough. and Yuri is fire hopefully, a fire black mage has been one of my dream SP class combinations for a long time, and fire seems like a fitting element for a red mage.

Is there any interest in a second PvP tournament? If the previous organizer isn't up for it, I might do it myself, only if we're doing it on the EU or NA server though. I just need to know if anyone wants to participate, then we can discuss rules and the format.

>>
>>2371222

>>
>>2371242
Last tournament was on EU and this one probably will be too unless we have completely different players (unlikely). I don't really know why I implied we could change servers.
As the anon who initially asked if people want a second tourney, I'm just going to say we're doing it on EU unless a majority of possible participants have endgame companies on a different server and someone else would be willing to organize it there. Also I feel pretty bad for holding up last tournament because I wasn't ready, and everyone who participated in the last one (or intended to) now has PvP-ready teams, I don't see much reason in delaying again once (or if) we confirm participation and decide on rules and whatnot, unless we have multiple participants who need to level teams.

This time, rather than waiting for some time when we're all available then trying to knock out all the rounds in the course of a week, I think it would be better if we just spread the tournament out over the course of a couple of weeks/a month so there's no stress trying to get everyone's matches in and people can schedule their matches for when they have the time and can afford to fuck up their sleep schedule.
I'll wait a couple of days to make sure there's actually enough people who want to play, and if the previous organizer (Sneed'sFeed'n'Seed IIRC) doesn't want to take over, then I'll take entry submissions.
>>
>>2371276
>previous organizer (Sneed'sFeed'n'Seed IIRC)
Right here.
My main issue right now is that I feel like it's a little too early to host another one. Save for maybe one person that missed the initial tourney, most of us will be running the same teams and strats we did 3 months ago, which doesn't seem very engaging. I wanted to give it at least half a year before attempting a new one.
Of course, if we get 6 or 8 people this time, it'd change the situation up quite a bit and it'd be worth it to host again. Otherwise I just don't see the point, hosting these too often kind of makes it lose the charm.
The initial tourney wasn't really contained into one week - it just happened to occur that way, since we could knock out most matches in a short period of time, after which people have told me personally that they'd be extremely busy to find time to play. If I could, I'd stretch it out longer, but I just didn't see the point.
Regardless, there seem be new anons that are willing to participate and are going to take a month or two building a PvP-ready save, which could provide enough time for this not to feel like a repeat of the initial one. In this case, just yell at me in the thread with your company name or in Troubleshooter DMs (Sneed'sFeed'nSeed) so I can count individual participants.
The host server will be EU once again.
>>
>>2371298
>My main issue right now is that I feel like it's a little too early to host another one
I was a bit reluctant to ask about the second tourney for that reason, wasn't sure if people were looking forwards to another one or not.
>Save for maybe one person that missed the initial tourney
That's me (MungoSeeMungoDo), just barely being unable to make it to the last one is maybe why I want a second one so soon lol
>most of us will be running the same teams and strats we did 3 months ago
It's probably worth asking those who participated previously and want to play again if they've changed their team up since then, or will in preparation for the next tournament. I could see people optimizing their teams a bit since then or coming up with ways to counter other people's teams.

If more people who took part in the last tourney feel like it's been too soon or they just haven't changed their PvP teams much then I wouldn't be opposed to putting this off for another month or two and letting more people make PvP-ready companies. I just ideally want another tournament or two before Dandy puts Banished Children into early access because then it'll be hard to get players with anons playing BC instead.

iirc Sneed's original schedule was 2 rounds per weekend? and then everyone just played their matches ASAP except for Tongs (me) ((fucking timezones)), which seemed to work ok. i didn't feel stressed for time, 2-3 weeks was plenty long enough to wake up at random times to play most of you twice (sorry Troublescooter), but knowing that only my matches were left at the end did put the social pressure on a bit - very minor issue

Rampage AI being terrible really sucks because Rampage is an otherwise amazing status effect. Maybe if there was a mastery or set that would let you keep control of your units in Rampage state, like an upgraded version of Tough Spirit

>>2371616
>>2371671
>>2371684

You're prone to act rash and discard tactics and strategy when you're "on a rampage".
>>
>>2371686
Its bad even for the flavor. Albus will be surrounded by enemies on all sides and will just end his turn because an enemy he wants to target is no longer in range.
>>
>>2371319
Originally, I had intended for the tournament to take place over the winter holidays when most people would be off work and have enough spare time to play. I wanted the matches to start on weekends simply because I had to work throughout the majority of winter holidays. That was a bit selfish, so I apologize.
But then, people just started playing their matches whenever they felt like it, and had essentially speedran the entire thing in 2-3 days, the remaining matches were all mostly leftovers with mismatched timezones. While I don't mind the lack of proper dates and set times, since I really don't want this to feel imposing or stressful for anybody - this is just something being done for the fun of it, after all; I still can't help but feel dissatisfied somewhat with the unorganized nature of it all. If the next one happens whenever, it'll definitely be stretched out as long as possible, so we can reach some sort of compromise on times between participants that are farthest apart. I'm also considering actually setting more solid dates and times on matches (once we actually reach aforementioned compromises on a player to player basis as paired matchups are established), so that we can maybe have a "proper" tournament feeling. But some anons will definitely not like the sense of "obligation" this might instill, so I'm not 100% sure on this.
I don't think any more rules in terms bans need to be imposed, the last tournament did not feel all that cancerous and I think the feedback I've received supports that. So the single rule remains - don't be a faggot, if something seems like it'd be ass to play against - don't run it. I believe that everyone here is conscious enough to self-moderate.
In a perfect world, we'd have 8 players, so that I could build real brackets... So I hope we get 3 new players (given all the previous participants remain)! So, once again, yell at the previous post, this post, your nearest Alisapost or at Sneed'sFeed'nSeed in DMs to check in.
>>
>>2371671
>even if her rampage AI constantly wastes her SP moves.
There's a set that makes her able to spam SP moves in Overcharge without removing it. It's pretty much mandatory for Rampage Alisa, and a lot of fun. Perfect Shaving doesn't have a cooldown, so with One Shot One Kill and her cooldown reduction personal mastery she'll spam it repeatedly at every target in range.

Most of them seem outclassed but the 47v beasts do have some worthwhile abilities. The Ash Yasha Monarch has ToaNL which can be useful for setting up webs, Gold Wing (dorori) has that too which allows it to inflict burn then get the bonuses for attacking a burned-debuff enemy in a single turn. I wouldn't say either of those are really worth using though. Jim's tima is practically a straight upgrade to the 47v lightning tima.

The gold negoori has two offensive songs which benefit from the extra range and -1 AP masteries, and are also all multi-hit. It also has a 0 AP movement ability. It's probably the best tame in 47v

I don't think there's any real link between personality and ESP, but most of the calm and collected people in AC are spirit users.
An earth black mage could be insanely tanky with investigate origin, I've seen Bianca tank a lot of shit with that set and a full wind board. I also hope he has at least one physical ability if he is the only earth user on the team to make use of rock fist, so we don't have to do call of earth fuckery to get any real value out of that one mastery which seems like it should be good on paper.
>>

Hm, despite having rage instead of vigor, the ice mungos actually get the extra ESP power from mage, and they get a decent amount of value from it since rage's base value is 100 as opposed to vigor's 60.

It's kinda broken how mungos mitigate/ignore some of the major weaknesses beasts generally have. Because they have an ability that raises rage to maximum, they don't have to deal with rage build up which is an issue for many beasts. Mungos also being able to use weapons which can roll accuracy bonuses means don't suffer as much from low accuracy that most beasts struggle with. And then they have good base stats, broken class masteries, and benefit from evolution masteries on top of all that.
>>
>>2372914
Mungos are a good display of Dandylion's balance philosophy, where overpowered things are fine as long as they're not introduced too abruptly.
>>
>>2372914
I'm peeved that ice mungos don't have the antifreeze item mastery that Leton also has so they can't use the set that heals when consuming antifreeze. It also means you have to use the antifreeze gear/potions on them or try to make-do with that set that reverses frozen blood when attacking a bleeding target. Antifreeze/frozen blood can pretty much be ignored on Leton anyways because he always starts out with at least 30 (which is a lot to begin with) and can easily stack a bunch more, so I guess Dandy wanted to make people actually engage with that mechanic when using ice mungos.

Mungos are introduced pretty abruptly but against the player instead, everyone remembers how bullshit the first time they fight them is until they take time to actually read what mimicking evasion does.
>>
>>2372927
Mechanically they're not that abrupt. You've already seen pretty much everything they can do by that point in the game except their specific mimicking mechanics, which is just one thing to learn

Oh that's funny, because the ice mungos have both that and the antifreeze gear, and the dialogue from the Red Sands in the opening cutscene of 60v says they're all going to die from frozen blood. That's probably unintentional/a bug

Went back to Asia to do some joint drills because NA's selection right now is questionable at best, and came across this weird Hunter Giselle

I really wish GS Albus had masteries that gave him raw attack power to really make use of this weapon. Swordsman and Great Swordsman only really gives crit damage and slashing attack damage bonus but no raw attack stat, meanwhile MK can get a lot of attack power from curse stacks and Magical Swordmaster set. Swordsman has guaranteed crits and Great Swordsman has Castle Gate Breakthrough so GS doesn't really need block reduction, I suppose.
>>
>>2373360
also I really hate how spray cans have less crit damage compared to every other weapon. Most endgame weapons have +40% or +50% base crit damage bonus, but spray cans are stuck at +30%, even Colorful's spray can doesn't have better crit damage IIRC. Between spirit, scholar, and fighter masteries, Ray can actually get some pretty good enemy block reduction, so it sucks that she isn't able to make good use of that without having to squeeze crit damage modifiers from common masteries and other gear, especially considering that cans have lower base damage than most other weapons.
>>
>>2373360
Great Swordsman innately has a ton of block reduction too. 30% from their class mastery to adjacent enemies + 25% from Blade Phantom.
>>2373375
Ray's damage is balanced lower than other characters because of her innate AOE. Like Witch accuracy it's not an unsolvable problem, just means you need to compensate for it if you want her to hit really hard.
>>
>>2373360
2000 attack, which is a lot, gets you 20% block shred, which is nice but not as strong as the razorclaw blades pushing damage through block
all the Demon Slayer gear is disappointing like that
>>
>>2373427
I think they're good enough upgrades for a lot of characters, but some of them do suck
>level 60 bangles give a small amount of block shred (1% per 200 ESP), but level 55 bangles give Discipline every 5th ESP attack, which is a massive +300 boost to ESP
>also has to compete with Blue Eyebrow's cooldown bangle
>level 60 battle gloves have 1% block shred per 200 attack power, but level 55 battle gloves have speed on them which is a much more desirable stat
>level 60 daggers have 1% per 20 speed block shred, but they have 10 less speed than the crafted level 55 daggers, no ESP on them unlike Ortega's dagger, and no guaranteed bleeding like Black Mask's dagger
>level 60 machine pistols have less speed and less crit on them compared to the level 55 versions, and deal +15% damage to exposed enemies instead of +15% damage when in still stance (which is a sidegrade of conditions at best)
>Mono and Vivis have nothing special, they're all just straight upgrades
>level 60 crafted snipers sacrifice 10 speed for +1 night sight, which is a hard tradeoff to justify even as a sight=rangefag and most people probably have a pretty good legendary sniper rifle by now anyway. Gaia's sniper rifle is more or less a straight upgrade too, which a lot of people use in PVP
>level 60 sprays give +1 range, but they sacrifice 10 speed and accuracy compared to the level 55 versions
>level 60 swords are pretty much a straight upgrade over the level 55 crafted ones numerically but shred block instead of giving +25% slashing damage, and Black Eyepatch's sword is godlike
>level 60 greatswords have no speed penalty on them and have generic block shred based on max HP, but the level 55 sword has -50% block damage reduction (making them absolutely rape against blocking enemies) and Ben's sword has 30% conditional block shred.
I personally like the level 60 greatswords because of the lack of speed penalty, but I think I'm the only person I've seen using them.
>>
>>2373439
Demonslayer bangles aren't that bad on certain characters; Sion can get a ton of ESP from flash stacks and so can martial artists with body and mind training set with a full ESP board. Elementalist also has magic variety and the magic training set which can get a enough additional ESP to add a few more block reduction. Same thing with battle gloves and flash/martial artist when it comes to attack power.

Extra speed is nice but there's diminishing returns for stacking it unless there's some additional benefit (like dodge chance with thief masteries) and a lot of other high-level gear has speed anyways. Cast delay or AT reduction can help offset low speed as well. I don't usually prioritize speed on my items unless my build really needs it.
>>
>>2373439
>level 60 crafted snipers sacrifice 10 speed for +1 night sight, which is a hard tradeoff to justify even as a sight=rangefag and most people probably have a pretty good legendary sniper rifle by now anyway. Gaia's sniper rifle is more or less a straight upgrade too, which a lot of people use in PVP
I personally have a hard time deciding which late game sniper to use. The level 50 sniper is an obvious choice for any build focusing on responsive attack spam but has little benefit outside that.
I like Skull Eater's for the crazy amount of block reduction but it lacks damage compared to the higher level ones and the block reduction only applies to humans. It's top tier for DLC1 but falls off after that. Even though Gaia's rifle has block reduction like Skull Eater's, it's a lot more situational and doesn't give as much, but the rifle itself has the highest base damage of all. Snipers are going to be in still stance a lot more often than the enemy is going to be exposed so the bonus from 55 is a lot better than the one from 60. The bonus from Athaad's rifle kinda sucks and everything else on it is outclassed by higher level rifles.
So the options are Skull Eater's, the level 55, and Gaia's for non-responsive attack builds, and they all seem roughly equally good. I might be putting too much importance on block reduction since Giselle has several mastery options for that, but the white clowns have deeply traumatized me.

>>
>>2373493
They fit her better personality-wise since she's supposed to be a fashionista. It's hard to imagine someone like her wearing wrist guards instead of jewelry. Many of the offensive stats and bonus effects from rings should also affect her trap abilities since they do ESP damage, but I haven't bothered testing all that myself.

That is indeed my team
I've been meaning to switch out the demolisher's set for Ortega's wristguard and Gaia's sneakers, that's why I was doing the Pascal joint drills actually, but haven't gotten any good modifiers on the ones that have dropped. I was going to put Pascal's bracelet on Kylie since it's so good with hacker masteries + awaken but I forgor to do that. Part of me also wants to get rid of the block stacking + second wind and just use final resistance instead, but I think FR is way too overpowered so I refuse to use it on principle except for barbarian Alisa since it's an essential set on her

Eunomia and Irene are such a painful amount of how they clearly love and care about each other, but don't understand each other. shouldve been the pink cat or something. She has more in common with a cat than a crow.

>>2374671
Pink is a close enough color to crimson I suppose, and the emblem on her jacket has wings. I think she was partially inspired by East Asian myths of the golden/three-legged crow which is actually usually depicted as being red instead of gold. China, Japan, and Korea all have some sort of three-legged crow figure in their mythology that represents power and guidance.
But she adopted the Crimson Crow moniker after her knife (which is actually a crimson color but can't really be seen because she keeps her weapon sheathed most of the time), and since the Crimson Crow alter-ego was used to hide her real ego, it would be stupid if she went around publicly displaying that she was the Crimson Crow. Misty was actually a lot smarter than every other Valhalla criminal for doing that, but I guess criminals in Valhalla are used to being able to flaunt their criminal association and not get arrested for it.

Irene's being mad that Eunomia called her red panda shirt cute could just be autism but I think it also speaks to the relationship between the two. Savana doesn't seem to know that they're sisters so she thinks it's just Irene misunderstanding a compliment from a top fashion designer when it could be just Eunomia teasing Irene or Irene is upset at being reminded of her sister's status or getting her approval for fashion reasons and not heroism reasons. Him and Leton are still kind of villains by association. Leton because he's a secret glownigger who's been helping Carter do terrorisms, and Heixing is doing vague shit for the Fortress of Suffering which is definitely a shady operation at best. Plus we know he steals cars. And let's be honest, nobody who dresses like that is an upright citizen.

From the blogposts I just gathered the alley was gonna be a big part to the story of (you)r company and you could either be friendly to them or be their enemy.
Although, I can't say the story would have been nearly as good with that foundation.
>>

>Heixing is doing vague shit for the Fortress of Suffering which is definitely a shady operation at best
it seemed like to me he was a positive influence in the fortress of suffering. he killed out the white spiders which were apparently undying cannibals or beasts that were eating people. and in that scene with leton in the alternative medicine guy, he said that the fortress of suffering doesn't make people undying anymore (even though he was made undying himself) which implies he put an end to it. it doesn't fit what we know about his character when he was with the alleys or albus's company to have been terrible person in the fortess of suffering. the kind of guy who was moved by carter's kindness (and later tried to stop carter from killing a bunch of people) and fixed anne's fox charm somehow also being a villain in the fortress of suffering doesn't make sense, i image that when he was in the fortress of suffering he tried his best to help other people like the alleys did when he was with them.

I looked in the abilities file to see if they had data, but GroundCrash is undefined and MachPunch is a placeholder attack with nothing defined except that it's a melee Piercing attack.
I'm pretty sure he'd be a Battlemage if he had actual unit data.

In the released game I'm curious as to how he ended up going from being a Troubleshooter in the old Silverlining with Don and Albus's parents to being the second in command of the Valhalla Vendetta branch. It probably involved The Incident and some shady behind-the-scene dealings, but he still seems to be on good terms with Don so I don't think he sold them out or betrayed them.

He's competent, ambitious and doesn't seem to have any kind of moral code. I really want him to feature more.

He also mentions that he'll only stay with Silverlining until he reaches that "next level", and the cutscene with him and Don at the train station when he's leaving is set 1 month before Silverlining disbands, so he probably got recruited into Vendetta then.

Yesterday I found out that Engineer's Consecutive Attack ability works with grenades. Need to experiment with it some more to find out whether it's got any practical uses or weird interactions. My first thought is throwing double Wind Pressure grenades to trigger Chain Tactics a bazillion times when the first grenade pushes enemies against the walls and the second grenade triggers Collision.
>>2375813
Alchemist has High Purity Healing Potion that's easy to fit and has a similar effect
>>
>>2375879
Does it consume 1 or 2 grenades for the consecutive attack? Ice grenades would work well with it too to delay the hell out of enemies' turns. Grenades are nice on Kylie since end-game builds are probably going to be using Pascal's bracelet on her so she gets +1, then she gets that extra gear slot so she can use a gear item as well as grenade.
>>
>>2375888
Consumes 2 grenades. I was thinking of trying some janky The Expert build with it. That gives a lot more uses and brings the throw itself down to 1 AP.

>>
>>2376401
It's probably not bad on battlemages since they can stack a bunch of positive auras on their own. A few other classes have auras worth using like shaman/white mage and hacker, then there's the one or two common masteries that also give them. On an auramaxxed team it might give everyone a bunch of extra turns as they all benefit from each other's auras, but like most other gear items in the game it's hard to find a use for it over the raw survivability that draki scales give or the gears that just give a bunch of stats.
>>
>>2376421
It might be pretty strong on a Barbarian with Optimism and Twilight of Pain. You'd be able to get dangerously close to 0AT turns.

SRPG, TRPG veterans. Are there any other game like Troubleshooter where you have big freedom in character building? I am casual enjoyer of this genre so i haven't played many but Troubleshooter might have spoiled me. I played things like Dark Deity 1-2, Symphony of War, Fae Tactics. They were alright but i never felt the same build freedom.
>>
>>2376660
Closest game I've played to Troubleshooter was Etrian Odyssey. Played the first game, but from my talks with veterans. They told me EO3 has tons of character builds. Also had a friend that said TS reminded him of warhammer 40k mechanicus.
>>
>>2376427
>Optimism
I don't think it that would help much since there are only a few concentration mental buffs (patience, strengthen, discipline, and concentration). Most concentration states are already auras while most mental buffs are rage or excitement states.
Being able to go under the 36 AT limit at the end of a turn, even just by a bit, can still be pretty strong though, especially if it gives you an extra turn before an enemy's.
There are a lot more auras than I previously thought, looking through the help menu. Most team members can easily stack two or three at a time, and with supportive characters around they can get several more. If you can get all those auras on a fast character then they'll have ~30 AT turns, combined with a bit of suppression that'll let them take 2-3 turns for every 1 turn an enemy gets.
>>
>>2376667
I heard a lot of people praise Etrian Odyssey. Never really tried dungeon crawlers. But now i am curious. I played Mechanicus but it's more along the line of the XCOM side of Troubleshooter not the JRPG side.
>>
>>2376667
>>2376759
Mechanicus is fun and atmospheric but way more simplistic, short and shallow than TS. It also suffer for terrible design so the only difficulty is at the early game, once you get some gear and levels it's over for the necrons. And I mean "boss kill in turn one before it can even move" over.

Troubleshooter's build freedom is probably its most unique feature imo. The only similar amount of build customisation I know is Path of Exile, except PoE has been terrible for many years now and it suffers from fake freedom, where you "can" build however you want, but unless you build in a certain way you're going to brick your character, and if you do manage to find something off-meta the devs will panic nerf it in the next patch.
I would have said Symphony of War except you've already played it.
Etrian Odyssey games - especially later ones - were a good mention. Their classes are set up a lot like Diablo 2's classes, where they have a skill tree of active and passive skills and levelling up gives you 1 skill point to either unlock new skills or put into an older skill to make it more powerful. Except unlike Diablo 2 you're controlling a party of 5, and EO 3/4/Nexus have have subclassing where you can combine two classes on the same character.

It doesn't have much in the character customization department, but I simply have to recommend Reverse Collapse. It's much more focused on the tactical aspect of gameplay, and I'd consider it more difficult than Troubleshooter is, but it can be very fun if you enjoy a more strategic approach to combat.

>Since we are currently developing a sequel, I believe a good stage to test this will be ready soon.
Am I reading too much into this when I think that we might get EA or a trial version soon?
>>
>>2376932
The context of that message is related to quests. Some guy asked Dandy to make quests unmissable, and that was the final responds.
Seems pretty soon to me.
>>
>>2376936
They'll probably change how quests work entirely for Banished Children because there won't be a Shooter Street equivalent.
>>
>>2376936
>>2376932
I wasn't a fan of the way the game did sidequests so any improvement is welcome, but where any of them actually missable? I thought it didn't really matter when you did the siedquests, so as long as you stopped by Shooter Street once in a while you'd eventually get all of them.

Like, I don't think getting some sort of notificiation that a new quest was available would've made any significant difference. My issue with the sidequests is more the way they're structured (i.e. a lot of them are just "go back to this old map and grind for a bit") and that most of them gave shit rewards, not that I ever felt at risk of missing out on content.
>>
>>2376950
In the grand scheme, no they're not missable. But you can absolutely miss them at the point where they're intended to be taken, which is what leads to both of your complaints: Repeating maps (most quests are available prior to the map) and receiving shit rewards (which are very powerful items IF you complete the quest at the correct time)

>almost accidentally evolved the draki eggshell i was using for sleep buff build
anyways it just occurred to me that draki past their t1 evolution don't "benefit" from hibernation since it's a mental debuff. I haven't tested it myself but that should mean, when using the hibernation mastery, they'll just revive at 1 hp and will be able to act on their next turn but at the downside of not getting any healing. I wonder if second wind will activate then, or if it only counts from the damage before they revive. I'd also like to know if it's possible for the golden eggshell to get the golden scale genetics mastery or if that is only available to later golden draki evolutions. it sucks that the pathfinder instinct mastery doesn't work with sleep builds, not even with somnambulism because being in sleep state gives -20 sight
>>
>>2378001
Wtf is a sleep build?
>>
>>2378003
Beasts have access to masteries that buff themselves and teammates while they're asleep, and they can also attack while asleep with a certain instinct mastery. The somnambulism set allows beasts to follow Giselle while they're asleep. Draki eggshells specifically have an ability than puts them to sleep (it's the only ability they have, actually) so they can easily stack buffs without having to wait for RNG or death to put them to sleep

Plaza bartender king...
>>
>>2378001
>it sucks that the pathfinder instinct mastery doesn't work with sleep builds, not even with somnambulism because being in sleep state gives -20 sight
There's a mastery set called Lucid Dreaming that removes the sight penalty from being asleep
>>
>>2378001
>>2378032 (me)
Not even a set, just a regular Defence mastery
>>
>>2378033
i completely forgot about that mastery for some reason, strange since it's part of the other sleep-related set
>>
>>2378056
That reminds me, one of the enemy mastery setups that's in the game but not actually accessible is a level 60 version of the Draki eggshell intended for joint drills. This is pretty much Dandy's version of a buffbot eggshell.
I have no idea what's going on with their Attack masteries, though.

>>
>>2378078
There are no attack masteries that have any benefit for draki eggshells, other than maybe activating a set, so they probably just put random stuff there.
Best condition and enough rest are also pretty good on draki eggshells for getting them quicker turns, suprised Dandy didn't use them here but I guess they wanted to make them annoying to kill with curse and ironman

I also found out indirectly that Giselle's regular line attack is internally named "GamebreakerSnipe" lmao

>>
>>2378965
I stand corrected, Miles only shows up like once for a quest mission so that's probably why I got the two mixed up

>>2379092
Seems like Dandylion realized that introducing beast taming that far into the game was a mistake since Ari, who is the first character in Banished Children, has Hunter as one of her advanced classes.
Giselle's whole introduction is out of the blue, I guess they couldn't find a good time to bring her onto the team story-wise especially with Irene/Anne/Heixing/Ray all being introduced early on with their own little arcs about joining Albus's company, and her joining has little to do with beasts themselves and more of the fact that the company needs someone to counter-snipe the White Tiger snipers.

>>2379101
Magic and ESP are pretty clearly linked and nature stuff seems to fall under Earth SP anyways, the Earth SP mastery itself is literally called "Nature Balance", Anne has an affinity for animals, and several Earth abilities or beasts are plant related (constricting root, Flower Garden). Elementalist masteries explicitly require an ESP type and Shaman/Witch masteries require Earth/Water/Wind SP specifically. This could be changed in BC though.

>>2379167
They would probably be appalled at some of the stuff posted here even if they appreciated the discussion.

Did anyone else realize Dmitri used to be the boss of Vendetta? That's him ordering the child assassin program to be started back up during the flashbacks when Misty is a child. Same exact portrait, just younger. He also constantly says stuff like "you have no idea what kind of person I used to be." Why he left Vendetta (or was chased out) and is obsessed with Ramjist is something we'll find out later I suppose.

I understand why Giselle joined from a story perspective, it was just sort of weird with the timing. You'd think Anne would get it, with Silver and the adventurous dodori.
But its cool we'll get beast taming early in the sequel, it'd be awesome to fight enemy hunters in the early game.

>>
>>2379707
Your Sion is an absolute pain in the ass, and Anne took about 6 turns to kill between my Leton, Irene and Witch Anne. Very well-formed team.
>>
>>2379714
I had a lot of fun designing that Anne. Also a lot of suffering. It's so hard to cover all her bases, but I think that build managed it. The idea was to have Irene and Sion covering each other, one has Moving Castle and the other doesn't, with Anne backing them up. I think Irene is the one with it, because I designed Sion to hit around 100% block without it. There's a few interwoven dependencies between some of the members like that, I can't remember all of them. Normally wouldn't throw Misty in there but I was probably just fucking around with her. I ended up liking Great Swordsman Albus more in that team as well.
>>
>>2379720
The Misty was another one I screenshot'd because it was a competent Water build. She didn't end up doing very much because she had a run-in with my own Alisa and her Skull Mask.
>>
>>2379721
That Misty is alright. She has one gimmick but she does it well. In the context of my team she doesn't have somebody to set up clouds for her, but I think you could get more value out of it pairing her with Ray, Hunter Giselle or Poison Bullet Heixing. Her main issue is she can't easily set up her own smoke, especially because you'd like to throw it right at the start for the buffs, so if you have someone else to do it then she can get her snipe and potentially survive the next turn to cycle another Water Release. All-in-all it's a really precocious and finnicky build though. I do think it has some advantages over Knife Throw anyway since it has better range and you can even get some AOE snipes which are really nasty.
>>
>>2379728
If you replaced the Charm of Silvia you could give her a smoke generator
>>
>>2379731
Yeah, something like that would help, I'm not sure if I was running other things and that was just a holdover from me farming Mash or if I decided on the Charm for some reason, I do remember her being liable to eating shit instantly so maybe it was insurance for that so I could actually get off the second Water Release reliably.
