>>2408434 >How are you liking the new update lads My least favourite Anbennar update desu. None of the new trees I've tried have really kept interested and have just decided to use it as a chance to play the old countries I never got round to.
>>2408646 >Eborthil revamp when First nation I ever played in Anbennar and I'm dreading that. They already nerfed their ideas, and made the official lore that they get raped by dogs so badly the entire island is empty when Busilar take over.
>>2408434 >How are you liking the new update lads? Anon, I don't... Hyped magic rework turned out to be a slog. New continent is boring, there are like 7 good mission trees in this update. Developers call any notion of not liking any parts of their lore (not necessarily Insaya related, just some reddit posts) "4chan energy". I think Anbennar is dead at this point
>>2408434 EUIVfag here, I've spent a few thousand hours on the game and am looking to move on. How's Anbennar from a gameplay perspective? Are the mechanics substantially different or is it just the same shit with a coat of troonlore?
>>2408729 Mechanics aren't that different. The coat of troonlore is only present in a couple of tranny tags or if you try to look into the victoria 3 canon that nobody cares about. If you want to play, just click on any tag that has a mission tree icon and try it out
>>2408729 Some mechanics are different .e.g. magic, hold digging , but not too difficult to pick up. I'd recommend playing something like Verne, Istralore or Eborthil first to pick it up they're pretty close to base game nations but are involved with Anbennar mechanics.
>>2408868 >custom government interaction that allows you to steal dev from subjects >get fucked if you use it because of several missions requiring to dev subject provinces Retarded. Don't get me started on the missions requiring 1 unit in a dozen provinces either.
>>2408999 that doenst make much sense. the harimari never expanded in that direction and they view gnolls as retards so why would they worship their retard demons
>>2408975 >You somehow wasted 100 years. I was fighting to gain all that land, manpower was slim with all the fighting and I couldnt have my neighbors form a coalition.
>>2409008 If you're too scared of coalitions, know that AE works heavily on religion. I like to weaken the Human and elven tags so that the monsters kill em, and swoop in. Mix in humiliation of a NSC rival to get the age objective for extra 20% ae reduction and coalitions wont be much of a problem.
>>2408972 >>2409008 I get human fatigue just by looking at this. I told you not to touch my Phoenix Empire ever again. >What do I do now? Get on your knees and beg for forgiveness. Then restart the game and try to do better next time
>>2409008 You have 99k manpower so clearly you weren't. And you wouldn't have had to worry about AE if you juggled truces in Bulwar. And you didn't even bother to expand into Kheterata, Rahen, or Sarhal.
>>2409007 You can just change it so they did? It's a fictional setting. You can do whatever you want. There's a reason harimari are boring and no one likes playing in Rahen, it's because they are all the fucking same and do the same thing. Except the one tiger island, at least that's different. Maybe the cave tigers too if they ever got a tree
Does Rahen have any human supremacist tags? IIRC: >Bhuvauri mission tree wants you to spread Brown Orc minorities >That one merc-based tag wants you to spread Hobgoblin minorities
>>2409171 I remember the western pakis being inbred and isolationist, the northern VGHers being THE human supremacist tag in the raj and the eastern elephant kings being human focused but mostly about breeding elephants.
>>2408904 A lot of mission are a pain to do because they are >dev x province, put x regiment on it >Complex trigger for nothing The centaur one is still a fucking pain in the ass because you need to do it because even forming harpylen.
>>2409347 That's cool. Are lizards fun to play? I kinda overlooked the region because they start one tech level behind and assumed they have some retarded gimmick (it's Anbennar, all tribals have some retarded gimmicks)
All this talk about Harpies being for trannies and yet they're a monosex female species that looks for males of compatible species to FUCK. If they were troon coded you'd expect an entire MT to be about how lesbian they are (looking at you, Vels Faldecai)
>>2409380 I think not, space colonies are accessible in provinces with spire great projects if you upgrade them to lvl3 through a custom UI button which I don't think AI would ever press
>play Rubyhold >ally low rent day one >have to keep them strong enough to win all my wars for me, but not so strong that I can't stab them in the back later This tag is like the Israel of Anbennar I swear
>Gnoll gameplay It feels good to be back. God I love how hordes play in EU4. It's so satisfying. Also feels nice to play an evil tag after randoming so many wholesome trade republics.
>>2409585 Yeah Rakkaz tree spawned it. You force Gnollakaz into a war and when you occupy their capital and have 90% warscore, you complete a mission which forces a peace that gives you a bunch of their land and spawns Irsmahap.
I'm curious to see this mission tree, because I think I found something potentially game breaking. Might be impossible due to Mechanics. Playing Busilar Gnolls (not going to attempt that name from memory) and couldn't take all of Busilar in one war, in particular Port Jaher needed for a mission was far too expensive in AE so I focused on the Ebothil crossing, I needed that gold. Sugamber came and finished off Busilar, and most importantly, adding Port Jaher to the Empire.
Due to not being able to easily expand into the EoA, I focused south and was looking at the Konolkhatep requirements, silly me didn't see the religion requirement and I flipped to Regeant Court and then Corin when de-monsterizing. Read the fine print folks. Anyway, a mission makes Port Jaher your new capital, basically forcing your way into the EoA as a member as your new capital is a province in the EoA. Question is, could I do that and be the Steward of Sorrow? Cause eventually you can potentially be both Emperor of Anbennar and the Steward of Sorrow, or is that not allowed by game mechanics?
Going to give it a try when I finish the Busilar Gnolls mission tree. Just thought I would share here in case any others want to try, or to save my time by getting told the two unique empire mechanics are not compatible.
>>2409592 Does your mission tree eventually expand? Silly question maybe, but I was fooled one by not Korea so better to ask then waste time on something unfinished.
>>2409592 You should've first grabbed all the lands bordering the empire so Sugamber wouldnt take land and since your MT wants you to hold a line of forts there. You're also not meant to form Konolkhatep since halfway through your MT it forces you to go a cannorian religion and the MT tells you this will lock you out of konolkhatep unless you convert to a khet religion. I never got added to the empire when I took that mission that moves your capital, so I don't know. >>2409611 It expands when you complete a home in the hills
>>2409615 If anything it confuses me even more this entire island is a generic African slum city on an island in the middle of nowhere that at one point lost every boat it had and just descended into poverty rather than everyone dying of famine who descend from some random trbes that got stuck there
>>2408999 While the flavor isn't a good fit for that, you know what is? Khetist Harimari. Shit fits so damn well it's a shame they can't actually do it
>>2409730 Khets are unable (or at least unwilling) to leave The Sorrow (not-Nile)
Harimari make most sense if you headcanon them only being able to exist in Haless (high-density populations of large obligate carnivores much more plausible if they get at least some of their calories from ambient magic and/or the spirit realm.)
(I think there's an actual canon explanation with Centaurs that's similar, when they "graze" they don't literally eat grass like horses, instead sapping life force from the steppe by simply trampling it.)
>>2409255 Unfortunately they are listed the same as humans in the mod so either selectively kill their cultures (other humans will hate you for some reason) or put them in a caste system like the sun elfs or the harimari.
>>2409560 >This tag is like the Israel of Anbennar I swear Wait until you see Ovdal Tungr >Subjugates nations through debt >Has a subservient vassal republic
>>2409798 Mostly first one, but it depends on their position on society and where are they from. Harpy Queens have harems, some harpies from harpy hills have working relationship with the men from Gelkalis, and those from Elayenna have similar thing with Jaddari Desert Elves. The ones from Duwarkami are fully integrated into the Kheteratan society, so I guess they have regular marriages. Vaegenheim harpies are also integrated with the whole Skalhydric faith, so I guess marriages/consensual flings. Not sure about Siadan and Mulen, Siadani ones seem rather rapey.
Tried out the xorme ai with the mistake of leaving forbidden plains on. They literally had a million troops when they left the plains. The Command had also played like they had a perma mythic conqueror
>>2409171 I don't remember dhugajir being particularly diverse, iirc they had an empire that got cracked by the 2nd harimraj and have seethed ever since. don't think you need harimari in your raj at all past a certain point
>>2410168 too true, they are rather sauceless like old vanrahar speaking of, is the new vanrahar tree worth going through another tujgal game? only 1 event to make humans pay more tax and no downside to going suhans felt weird as fuck
>>2410169 You culture convert a lot of human provinces(not purging because you need your dalit slaves) and the narrative of the MT is against Suhan and the MT hints that a race war will happen in the future with the Blood Lotus. It's worth it if you want to just have an easy game with your busted shock modifiers.
Heard cangji was good so started a game as then. Holy fuck why dont they warn you that you'll have to go into the forbidden plains before the tree expansion. Jesus fucking christ im so behind on conquering that shit hole
>>2409798 It kinds runs the gambit of all those. Harpy heirs get events to meet their fathers so its not like one night stands since they maintain knowledge of who those people are. Some events talk about husbands as well. Overall the mod has been trying to remove a lot of the rape that used to be explicit in harpy events and religious interactions
>>2409811 Iirc one of Mulen's motivations for building their giant hanging cities to lure in mates basically
>>2409620 Should I switch religions when demonsterizing, or do I get a mission that flips me later? Because I want to join EoA as civilized demon worshipers because it's funny.
>See people suggest going Jadd as Drakonshan while demonsterizing >Tree goes on to have you demolish the sun temples and lose their bonuses, pissing off every nation in the religion group including your vassals Should have just stayed Old Dookan for the flavor
Tsukqiao into Luzhong is pretty fun. And a good fitting ending too. Could've probably benefited from being a little shorter, and pushing the theme of "we're just bullshitting through this entire thing and have no idea what we're actually doing" more, and also the time gating on the temples sucks, but overall I liked it
so uh how do I play an escanni orc/grobulin? do i just sit in my capital and dev for feudalism? between the inherent mil tech diff and the adventurer buffs and no cav access as an escanni gob i can't see my self winning any wars
The year is 1821. Escann lives under ORCISH RULE. All Escanni males are sissified. Escanni women live to serve ORCISH KINGS in vast reproduction facilities. Welcome to Escann's ORCISH FUTURE.
Castín síl Cannéinn remembers life before the revolution – before the government-issued hormones, the sissy wigs, frilly lingerie, and mandatory chastity. He lives on the war-torn outskirts of Taranton, where he hides his beautiful blonde step-sister Erella from the clutches of the brutal New Orcish army.
As musclebound cave-turned-forest soldiers prowl the countryside searching for fertile Escanni women, Castín will stop at nothing to protect sweet Erella's purity. In his pink-and-blue wig, flirty sissy skirt, and fishnet stockings, Castín gives his tender body to a gang of pitiless orcish alpha soldiers: the ultimate act of courage and sacrifice. But is sissy Castín prepared for the overwhelming demonstration of power and domination? The encounter brings him face-to-face with his worst fears... and his most unspeakable sissy fantasies.
Acclaimed author and pro domme Melbin Bobbman presents a tantalizingly political vision of the future. His powerful, vivid, fly-on-the-wall passages of three-on-one interracial man-on-orc action push the boundaries of sensual fiction. The ORCISH KINGS have their way with Castín's sissy body, pumping and pounding and cursing through one of the hottest gang scenes in the history of the genre. And interspersed throughout the sizzling prose, a suspenseful narrative full of imaginative world-building unfolds. Experience the true power of green bulls in black jackboots. Prepare to pay the ultimate reparations. Explore the mind-bending world of ORCISH FUTURE, the first book in Melbin Bobbman's brand new series.
Can someone explain to me why a province defecting from my rival, to my vassal makes my vassal more rebellious? >>2412133 they are just as ugly and were enslaved in the same way, I never said they are blacks but their situation is similar to the way african americans were enslaved and the mutts resulting from that were mostly due to white slaveowner + black slave. All the Escanni civilians fled west and then orcs get buckbroken for 100 years until they eventually get more or less accepted.
>>2412377 They removed a bunch of tree's because they lacked "polish" and they'd previously overlooked them. What that means in practice fuck knows probably adding a few nonbinary pronouns and removing any moral ambiguity.
>>2412647 They changed our the plains work, so it makes sense to redo Spiderwretch. If no one has looked over it yet, the tree might not even be possible to complete any more. I think that happened to one of the ogre tags and they left it in and this general got mad at that. So sort of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
>>2412654 Read the screenshot anon, they aren't "reworking" Spiderwretch, it just had "unapproved" localization. Why won't they just keep the mission tree and push whatever loc they needed to do but later is beyond my comprehension
>>2412673 Is it just the steam version? I know that only gets complete trees as far as I can remember. The github version used to have lots of unlocalised stuff.
>>2412682 That's what I mean. Did they remove it from the steam version because that's for complete trees but leave it on the github one like other unlocalised trees?
>>2412647 Nuugdan Tsurai wasn't removed for this reason. The person who made it was excommunicated from the 'cord so they're taking the chance to have someone "rework" it.

Grônstunad/Jade Empire is based if you can get over the pain in the fucking ass hurdle of forming it. It’s kinda like Verkal Ozovar—wise King in the Mountain ruling over primitive SAAAAR hordes—but you don’t cheat with mind control magic, you’re just that powerful and rich to force Haless to submit. The gov bar is fun if you’re a vassal lover like me
>>2412922 It took me until like 1600 to get to the last third of the tree because of the specific requirements. Literally had to centralize hold digging too
so does this game just punish you for not coexisting with everything? I'm playing as goblins why the fuck is this mission telling me to coexist with dwarfs
They've made like 4 good giant mission trees in Taychend and I want to play them, but when I actually do, I remember that there's like 50 years of interesting gameplay in there, and then you eat up everyone around you and get ahead in tech to such a ridiculous degree that the next 100 years are literally just native-purging level clean up. And most of the big fun tags want you to conquer the entire continent before you can even form them, so there's fuck all to do afterwards. Did they playtest their own shit? Am I missing something? What's the idea here?
>>2412922 It was pretty dogshit and full of unnecessary requirements that took ages to get through. I had more fun just ignoring it and blobbing normally
>>2413844 >Feiten I don't understand what people see in this tag. I guess the "theme" of building airships is nice, but the actual gameplay is you building random markets in 3 dev jungle provinces.
Lorent desperately needs an overhaul with some disasters and extra shit because it's so bad. You click the country and load the game and you already won; there's no point in even continuing. They might as well just add some railroad shit to force you to experience the issues of actual france because it's way too fucking strong
>>2414053 Is that always guaranteed to happen? I don't know much about the event chain but I thought if the temples don't get raided the ghosts don't invade so its reasonably possible just to have an entire continent sat there doing jack shit for an entire game and they added this with barely any content?
>>2414263 Are there any good submods that add more provinces? I'm enjoying the Trade Goods Expanded for Anbennar so far. Apologies if this gets asked every thread. Please spoonfeed.
>>2408700 >Developers call any notion of not liking any parts of their lore (not necessarily Insaya related, just some reddit posts) "4chan energy". Tried to find it and this is all I found. Is this really what you're mad about? Honestly pathetic anon.
>>2414746 Do you have any more feedback on it? I already know a few of the specific pain points (AI Magical Fortress, AI Fear and Loathing, getting locked out of mission trees) but it sounds like you have a more general complaint.
>>2414960 Artificery > magic according to setting, you've just found out the plot of Blackpowder Chronicles. Gameplay-wise invention-swapping is just OP. If we made something that strong and made it available from 1444 for everyone it would take over the game.
So the slowness helps keep magic from being overcentralizing; even if you're no good at the mechanic you're still fine. Also I didn't want a modwide system where you make 10 choices a year. Magic needed to be secondary to whatever MT you're playing.
>>2414982 no we need to go further we need a hold that turns the entire Serpentspine into a massive fungi farm like fuck mining we farming in this shit now

>>2414997 you are missing the point, you asked what was the general complaint and I answered without having to go too much into details, I'll be happy to elaborate if that's what you want
>>2414993 Xe is so cute and valid. I see no problem with this mentally sound person being in charge of the rework process for the core mechanic of the mod.
>>2414261 >>2414411 IIRC there's three ways for Insyaa barrier to go down: 1) wait for the scripted "canon" date that's all the way up at 1650 (??) and it will go down without anyone doing anything (think of it like a battery running out) 2) trigger Rending of the Realms (think of it as someone setting a battery on fire) 3)nations inside Insyaa have access to something that can take the barrier down much sooner (probably something like disconnecting a battery)
Conjuration spells (summon familiars+extraplanar contact) that speed up your magic research shouldn't exist. As is, it feels like you're in a constant state of cat and mouse for hundreds of years trying to research new spells, but then spending all your mana on spells that speed up research, very rarely doing anything else. And if you don't do that, you feel gimped because your research is slowed. As a result you can cast some low level stuff early game, which is obviously not the most exciting thing (and the same for everyone), you can cast cool stuff very very late when you've researched a lot and upgraded your Infrastructure and have enough mana to spend, but the vast majority of midgame you can't do shit
>>2415069 Yinquan, which gets bonus points for being to trigger the rending early and therefore get to Insyaa early Your ruler is an immortal fox spirit and you're one of the few tags that gets magical patrons and I do mean immortal, pay no mind to any election events, she'll come back she's just on vacation
>>2414954 surprise magic requirements are a pain in the ass if i need to cast a high level spell at some point in the tree i should be told up front what school to specialize in or given buffs to help me get to that spell in a timely fashion
>>2415098 Yeah except any magical research will be cancelled when she abdicates. Also, the fact necromancy is banned means you can no longer increase Sado's stats beyond RNG events. Or Tughayasa during the rending to make her a 6/6/6 but I didn't know that until much later.
>>2415155 Yeah we're working on it. It's primarily a consequence of me doing a first pass 1:1 replacing old magic system with new (narrow/broad ward --> ward) and no second pass. And the new stuff just doesn't know how to signpost yet. I'm sure people will get better at designing with magic over time.
A lot of the old stuff just needs to not be magic spell triggers. Like Mykx: Batavi didn't design it around magic schools; he just threw a trigger in there for the heck of it. I should ask him what he wants to replace it with.
>>2415083 Good point. In theory we could pursue a nerf of some kind, but you're right that design-wise the spell itself might be flawed by feeling bad to not have on at all times.
Maybe something like "can only Summon Familiars during magic study and not projects"? I like having study spell(s), it just needs to not be the only cantrip you cast. Extraplanar Contact is less of an issue; Conj is just overtuned rn so you end up having access more than you should.
>>2415297 Yinquan suffers from the same issue as a lot of old MTs: dev left/got banned. The ideal solution would be someone new who played Yinquan and liked it coming in to do updates. I thought I fixed the bug where abdication cancels all research (it should only cancel ruler research).

In reality there's no hard and fast rule for what the delineation between species vs subspecies vs race/cline/ecotype/etc is, but since we've chosen to recognise neanderthals and denisovans as H. sapiens subspecies that consequently means all living humans must make up a single subspecies of our own to stay consistent.
>>2416130 Why would it mean that? Neanderthals and such didn't rise from the ether, they developed in parallel, why would further speciation stop being possible?
>>2416125 One galley is 10 gold and you start with around 50 gold, so you can easily double the amount of galleys you have right at the start. If you think you need more, you can take some loans and make a few more. You'll be able to recoup the costs by taking money from the harpies in the peace deal, and once you win you can delete and/or mothball ships that you don't need. If your income still isn't positive at that point (it should be), it will be higher once the land finishes coring. It's like this at the start of the campaign for a lot of countries, you just need to go into debt for a short while to win and get the land you need, then you can get the ball rolling.
>>2416163 Because shut up bigot. Muh one race. Race has been disproven, bigot. Which is good because otherwise the Enlightenment idea that all humans are equal which our entire civilization is built on might be wrong.
Is there any submod that deals with dev overinflation? Nearly every fuck bog and field in EoA becomes 15 dev at the bare minimum. And the rest are 30 dev provinces.
>>2416283 >humans are wholesome chungus >elves are wholesome chungus >orcs are wholesome chungus >goblins are wholesome chungus Is there anything that isn't wholesome chungus? Trolls? Literally anything that doesn't force me to integrate my obvious enemies. I am fine with integrating some races, like harpies who will obviously want to integrate humans and elves. But why the fuck would any Escanni non orcs want to integrate orcs instead of genociding them out of existence?
>>2416300 In defense of groundhawk, they're forest goblins so they don't have the same history with orcs that common and cave goblins have. They also made a deal with Corin when she was alive. I think Flying Hound is more anti-orc since they LARP as Escanni humans and were actually some of the goblins that were BTFO by orcs for millennia. Also literally every goblin tag in the dwarovar hates orcs.
>>2416077 Funnily enough, Tolkien didn't even consider them a separate race, biologically at least. In LOTR, the difference between Elves and Men is a spiritual one based on being tied to the fate of the world or not and where your soul goes >Elves and Men are evidently in biological terms one race, or they could not breed and produce fertile offspring – even as a rare event
>>2416041 darkscale kobolds has been a revolving door of someone claiming the mission tree doing nothing for a year and then getting removed for several years now
>>2416335 >>2416326 Problem is, you have to play in Dwarovar. I played two tags. I think it was quartz dwarves and agate dwarves. Both were incredibly boring.
>>2411446 I genuinely adore how all the attempts to revise the Greentide by Woke Devs several years ago to make the Orcs less monstrous just came off as insane revisionism that made the whole outcome of the area way funnier
>>2411964 Unironically this, bonus points that it is started by only surviving lowest class elf peasant of no important bloodline in Post-Jaher Haless, proving all Elves are just inherently superior to everyone else
>>2414954 Not him, but a lot of the end game magic does not feel impressive and also some focus trees want your estates to have certain magic affiliations that can soft lock if you use up your estate magic limit
I would like to see more special projects and messed up stuff like more Necronomics, Fringe Transmutation Brilliance/Horror, and have more race/culture based magic
>>2416163 >Why would it mean that? Because all living humans are much more closely related than to each other than we are to neanderthals or denisovans.
>>2416434 It's called being a decent human being. Sorry not sorry that your crippling transphobia and hatred of BIPOC folx keeps you from playing a wholesome and fun game.
>>2416300 >But why the fuck would any Escanni non orcs want to integrate orcs instead of genociding them out of existence? Because integration makes about a thousand times more sense? The real question is why the Serpentspine is able to exist as the absurdist endless racewar that it is.
>>2416486 Sure, but that doesn't actually explain how it's possible for the dwarves to somehow repopulate and rebuild an area as large as the Serpentspine and its two dozen holds while also genociding all the people who currently live there. It just doesn't make any practical sense.
>>2416515 Yes it does. There's no precise definition for what constitutes a subspecies broadly but they still need to be defined consistently within a species. If we're labeling H. s. sapiens and H. s. neanderthalensis to be distinct enough to be subspecies then you can't also split H. s. sapiens further.
>>2416520 Yes we can. What are you, stupid? Nothing's stopping us except you saying so. If we just do it, then there's no more problem. This semantic shit happens all the time, it doesn't fucking matter
>>2416520 >>2416522 Terms like species and race were produced by dead old white men to perpetuate their system of oppression. Y'all neweqd to dispense with these words and all their colonial baggage.
>>2416529 I know this is the official explanation but there are only like 4 dwarf countries outside the Serpentspine and other than maybe Rubyhold they're all pretty small, not many minorities around either. It just doesn't make sense.
>>2416526 >>2416528 I really wish they'd put that in the selection screen. They've added in details of each mission tree and what they can form, so it shouldn't be hard to just add "no content for formable yet".
>>2416538 Them siding with Corin in the League isn’t nearly as bad as actually converting, if they go religiously tolerant that’s whatever and the overall content sounds fine. I bet you a million fucking bucks that the Storm Queen they wake up and have a special disaster about is a lesbian tho
Insaya is so bad, they made a whole giant continent for what looks and plays like australians and polynesians from base eu4, also known as the worst content in the game. I feel sorry for all the people who put any effort in this pile of dog shit.
I don't think I've ever seen these guys form before. I know there's some elf formable tag or something around there. Is this that, or is it a new adventurer formable?
>>2416421 From what I remember there are a few like the Command's goblin and orc vassals that aren't intended to be played and if you ask to work on them they tell you to fuck off. There were a lot of people interested in making stuff for the brown orcs though so maybe they've changed their mind.
>>2416632 They start out as elven forebears and when they form their map they go infernal court. They were also so insufferable that even Ibevar kicked them out.
>>2416475 >The real question is why the Serpentspine is able to exist as the absurdist endless racewar that it is.
Complete Isolation that makes covering up warcimes much easier plus the ability to just push other races out of the Serpentspine in singular directions. The Geography actually matches well with the gameplay there.
>>2416642 None of that addresses the population issue. Like 90% if not more of the Serpentspine is goblin or orc at game start, there's realistically no way dwarves have anywhere near the numbers to even control it much less do a genocide and then rebuild afterwards. >>2416647 >Genocide No, because then you're just doing even more damage to an already extremely depopulated region. >Slavery Yes, and that's what most of the tags in Escann do I wouldn't have an issue with the Serpentspine if more of the tags did the oppression and slavery method like Mithradhum instead of most of them trying to do a total genocide and replacement instead.
>>2416654 >Eliminating destructive monsters >Doing more damage Allowing them to live longer is what's doing more damage. Small numbers or not, dwarves alone can handle things better than including any greenskins will
>>2416465 name one decent and fun thing anbennar trannies have conjured this last update and you probably may catch the gist of why people are getting so obsessed with you
>>2416788 You do realize the mod's overarching narrative is Transcoded. Brutish, masculine, and archaic systems being replaced by fierce, feminine, and tolerant technological advances is clearly a Trans allegory. Jaybean's egg hasn't cracked yet bye the signs are all there. First the Matrix and now Anbenar, it's funny how transphobia chuds seem to have a preternatural attraction to Trans media.
>>2417080 dunno I'm just here for some orcish genocide, I think it's the most funny part of the mod. can't imagine people seriously playing this and learning all of you trannies names and getting upset over trannies doing tranny things. if you developed something, I hope that validated your existence and you feel pretty awesomesauce
>>2417118 Realistically, in lore, only cannorians should care about this, because Magisterium imposed a strict ban on necromancy learning since Nichmer
>>2417136 This is like saying only Europeans should care about murder, when in fact most civilizations created laws against it. For necromancy, it should be about two factors: whether it's fine from the perspective of the tag's religion, and whether the tag is too monstrous to give a shit. Either of those and necromancy is fine, but people other than Cannorians are definitely going to care about their lord resurrecting their dead mother to work the farms
>>2417239 Don't these religidiotic reactionaries know that morality is subjective and it's just not socially acceptable to yuck someone's yum. Sad that innocent practitioners of necromancy are still being oppressed in the current year.
I understand that Farranean is the only half elf tag in the game but why are they super wholesome 100 with their final mission being "Farranean means unity"?
>>2417346 idk what you were expecting from a nation dedicated to halfbreeds. Though in fairness I also got tricked into playing them only for half the missions to be about babysitting Ibevar and growing a tree.
>>2417363 the voltoj are mastermind evil schemers tho right? the one exception to the rule also Silverspite is kind of an asshole >>2417364 explaining how the Sun Elves are actually totally wholesome 100 in yet another wiki page
>>2417364 Rewriting ever single bit of sun elf and new sun cult lore to make sun elves the "good" guys. Sun elves dindu nuffin and dartax was chimping out over nothing. Rezankand was actually super nice and tried to end the taychendi cycle of violence. They never ever stole relics or tried to erase their culture like Ameion did.
>>2417369 >>2417376 What was changed? Last time I checked they've made them more evil by banning magic for humans but it turned out to be based since humans were worshipping djins and doing bad things with it anyway
>>2417361 Valid. It's hard to transition from "purely a gag comic" to "a mostly unironic fantasy epic, just with a window dressing of lolsorandom humor."
>>2417386 I'm also under the impression that if you play the main Old Sun Cult nation, their mission tree basically proves that the Sun Elves were right, by making you dig up imprisoned Djinn and release them or something.
>>2417504 Unless I missed something Sun Elves seems to remain the most based option since all other MTs are about building tolerant multiracial democracy while NSC seems to be more nuanced since they point out the obvious that the elves are superior to everyone else and should rule since they saved bulwar from slavery. Also all sun elves are destroyed in canon and much like Aelnar they're doomed to fail so I don't know where the claim of dev elfophilia comes from
>>2417506 >all other MTs are about building tolerant multiracial democracy Dartax kills all elves, goblins, harpies, and gnolls in Bulwar and restarts the Bulwari age of magic with Musaskalam thoughbeit.
>>2417511 I guess Dartax and Zokka and Tluukt are an exception but they're more of a safe edgy nations and I'll prefer for there to be some sort of middle ground between full woke in 1444 and be a monster who kills everyone for fun
>>2417511 >Dartax kills all elves, goblins, harpies, and gnolls in Bulwar and restarts the Bulwari age of magic with Musaskalam thoughbeit. That's old lore. Now all creatures have a place as equals under Surakels light (Well maybe not gobos or Orcs.)
>>2417541 >uhm actually, that one flavor text for one of the religious options revokes the entire mission tree You're a faggot who wants to be mad. Nothing more.
>>2417650 >for one of the religious options The Cult of Purity is specifically tied to Dartax its repeatedly mentioned n their MT and you have no option but to take it on day 1, that would be the same mission tree that ultimately states the main factor of whether you count as Bulwari is if you worship Surael in the right way not due to race or species
>>2417541 Kek that is so retarded im sorry, you can make as many wholesome chungus tags as you want, be my guest. But the tag thats about rebelling against elven oppressors doing that makes no sense.
I have detected posts in this thread that insinuate that Gnomes would be in any way related to jews as if the dwarves aren't greedy, insular, lil shits who genocide the inhabitants of a land that was promised to them 3000 years ago. they even do the debt trap into total goy subversion thing in Bulwar
>>2417858 Please understand that the writers had to take additional stress dilation sessions to cope with the transphobic 4chan energy they were exposed to. Maybe if y'all can be decent human beings you may get a new my next release.
>>2417858 Its super retarded. I THINK the idea is it gets the tags out there to entice people to do work on them. But really releasing an entire continent with not a single tag complete is so baffling.
But anyway did you see all the crap they cut to make this release? It seemed like the big thing wanted to push was the pirate tags, which ive yet to see anyone talk about playing (4 super different themed tags sharing an entire mission tree seems very questionable)
>>2417829 The greenskins literally genocided the dwarves so they could squat in aul-dwarov's ruins and ovdal tungr is ONE hold that isn't even in the dwarovar
>>2417810 there are already plenty of Sarhal halfling tags, anon, we don’t need more >>2417829 the dwarves actually built masterpieces in the holds and the dwarovar the gobbos improve on the latter tho so I guess they deserve the whole thing in the end
>>2417541 They took what was pretty much an ethnic and class based rebellion against Sun Elf incompetence with religious undertones only there because they can't believe the Sun Elves are the chosen, and sanitised it by turning it into just a religious uprsing to avoid Dartax being on a mission to cleanse the homeland of humanity which is quite clearly the original intent in the old tree
>>2417728 Whoever made Zerat was a retard. Should have at least warned the player that you coded it so that Zerat gets hit with rebel spam NO MATTER WHAT in the 1470s.
>>2418836 They fucked me because I was winning against the gnolls though. And then they stole like 5 years of attention by giving me 2 more events where 60k more popped up and my manpower disappeared.
>>2418845 That was 20 years ago. I had to white peace the gnolls during the war but it was so fucking dumb at the time. Felt like it was just designed to kill your momentum.
>Starting my seventh Konolkhatep run after chilling with EU5 for a while. Did they nerf the Gunpowder Xhazobine or am I just too good at this game now despite not playing for half a year? By the time Neverkaar made it out of the crypt I was already pushing deep into Viakkoc.
Is there a console command to lower lake fed cohesion? The tree extension for canji kinda fucked me over, I didn't expect to have to conquer into that shit hole
>>2418915 It feels so odd cause everything is written as a poem and so far most of what it chooses to focus on is the paladin being trans and being the third to two lesbian wives. I find it funny the opening set of missions is tricking the various people around you to declare war on you
Before I knew what this tag was and I heard Paladins of love collecting tales of love. I thought it'd be more like finding great deeds of love like the taj mahal or discovering the many gods of love around the setting.
>>2418920 Oh I forgot to mention the part that makes this the strangest to me is it focuses a lot on the PHYSICAL sexual love and not the chaste romance and being driven to do great deeds.
Honestly this tag leading into a warhammer slaanesh style cult would make a lot of sense
>>2418921 Lel is a halfling goddess of love and families, so the physical aspect means a lot here and should mean a lot, because halflings reproduce like crazy. The strangest part of it to me is Lel priesthood (mainly female) not decapitating Kyora and other would-be mtf predators right on spot
The pace these guys get stuff is a bit nuts 1452 and I own half the island. I'm surprised for some reason I was under the assumption this would be a pretty peaceful tag
>>2418922 I mean if you're a certain type of person I'm sure it's very good, but honestly I'm a bit weirded out by it all so far.
>>2418924 Yeah I was thinking about how weird it is to have trans-gender people in a society about worshipping a god of love. As I'm sure fertility and having children would be a large part of what they consider upholding the goddess's values
Call me naive but I choose to believe that the average person/Anbennar player does not in fact care about this stuff, and it exists solely for some singular weirdo's entertainment, he somehow got his creepy hands on the development of the mod and that's basically it
>>2418999 There are like 200 different tags with content in the mod, not every tag is going to be for everybody and it would be a much more boring mod if it was.
>>2419055 I think there's potential for something interesting there with examining how republicanism functions when your politicians can live for 200+ years and have that much more time to consolidate power. What kind of political culture would they need to have to keep their republic stable?
>>2418920 These poorly written song lyrics/poems are the most cringe part about this tranny MT takeover, honestly. Utterly unfitting of the time period, I don't know what the writers were even thinking.
>>2419058 This is pretty much where I sit on it. Let me say this the gameplay of the nation is quite fun so far
>>2419115 I think them trying to make the missions all poems is a pretty good goal for something related to love but misses the mark. The worst events are really all the love stories you go around collecting. This is the first one I collected so far at least they've all got kinda strange relationships.
Like call me naive but when I was told I was going to collect a lizardmen tale of love I was expecting some in universe tale along the lines of one of the previous 332nd empires crashing and burning from an act of love. But instead the tale is about how a Troll and a Lizardman ranaway to your country to love one another.
>>2419146 I find it strange that some poems choose to have a rhyming scheme and others don't. I wonder if it was written in another language first. Either way so far this all needed a second pass. Oh yeah the tale quest starts you out with the oldest love poem and it's written super modern which pulled me out of it majorly
>>2419236 Since I brought it up here's the troll x lizardmen thing. All the love tale rewards at least to the point I've gotten so far are minority sizes, and you get ways to manipulate them via your unique love mechanic so you could stack up the racial bonuses pretty high all over your nation
How often do you go lich? Feels kinda boring to do it often but I don't know when it's appropriate. Currently playing Azjakuma, does it make sense to go lich? I know they're supposed to be evil or whatever but it feels like it's part of their culture to be evil so I can't really hate on them.
>>2419393 Undead is a pretty weird military i know it changed a lot in the last update. It used to be super micro management heavy if you wanted the best out of it, was GREAT for vassal gameplay though since you could field waaaaaay bigger armies keeping them in line easier
>>2419401 >lots of europeans live in our Germany - belgium, dutch, danish, so they are not culturally homogenous and we should import 1000000000000 trolls from shadow swamp
I dont mind all the woke content because I get to imagine their suffering when my Gawed chudwaffen storm their cities and put them to the torch. Thank you bonbonny, looking out for us. Chuds and troons united in grand strategy autism.
>>2419061 Azkare does republican Elves much better >It's just a lifelong dictatorship where the Elves are the actual ones in the congress that represents all the ethnic groups
Back to playing the halflings, forgot to mention it but some of the bonuses you can spend love on are like stupidly strong this alone is pretty nutty considering a town house is .2 a month and comes way late into the game
>>2419534 I feel like this single event has really crazy lore implications. I guess my primary question is just can an archyfey in the setting just open up a portal to literally anywhere?
>>2419604 There are no elves in the mod's lore that feel this way about orcs. >what about wood elves They specifically wrote it so that the orc invasion was recent and not like the greentide in escann so elves don't hate orcs
What's the most recent or up-to-date MT nation that expands a lot with vassals? I drop most MTs when they ask me to conquer half the continent because I can't be fucked juggling alliances and truces and AE.
>>2419912 Pick any of the harpies in west bulwar, they all just got updated along with their formable. Harpies by nature are very encouraged to do vassal play
>>2419912 I think one of the orcs, Skewered Drake, came out last pre-Insaya update, and it's very vassal-swarmy, after you consolidate your base in the mountains. Haven't played it though
Does Cangji ever get better or is it just a completely miserable trudge of mountain+glacial provinces and no money and no trade and no bitches all the way through?
>>2419985 So I was playing canji and having a pretty good time. There's a tree expansion that wants you to conquer ALL of the forbidden plains, I wasn't expecting that and so I quit. Once you get to the tree expansion you start moving into the Yanshen area which has great money opportunities. But you'll be VERY broke leading up to that.
Really I think the tree needs like one more pass as there's a lot of weird stuff in terms of order you receive bonuses and them wanting you to conquer annoyingly large sections of the map per mission.
>>2420139 Probably a combo of ESLs and a tranny echo chamber. All the poems come off very amateurish. The rhymes are forced, sloppy, or non existent. The syllable count plays hop scotch. And the narrative always tell don't show. And the prose is just atrocious, "But the gnoll was very wily" "Any harpy worth their salt knows this" like what the hell is this?
>>2420156 I'm pretty sure it must have just been they thought it'd be neat to have the nation about love written all in poetry (admittedly a cool idea). But just didn't have any creative spark for it.
It's weird the idea of going around getting love stories is really just "these people have an unconventional relationship and move to your island" The fact you don't get to hear about fucking nirakhet's great act of love in this tree despite being a very close religious group is honestly criminal
>>2420173 Sorry not sorry but hetero cisnormative relationships are pale and stale. The Anbenar community only wants to hear about the vibrant and spicy love of 2SLGBTQIA plus folx.
>>2420245 You know I forgot about these guys but they'd be another example of what should have been a tale of love they collect, Maybe do the first elf and human in cannor as one as well
>>2420247 >Hold of dwarven love >Reject loving marriage proposal from fellow Dwarves in favour of being ruled by the mischling offspring of some h*man A love tale for the ages.
Too bad wont see what the special reward for finishing the tree before everyone dies is. I think it's pretty doable though, I'd recommend just waiting to do the middle tree mission to swap to a new ruler to get yourself extra time.
>>2420486 It's not rent free when they're forcing their fetish into the video game that I'm playing. That being said half this thread is about trannies and I'm getting sick of it
Alright I've now finished the halfings, sort of. To complete their special magic project you have to wait for the stormwall to open, which I honestly don't feel like waiting around to do.
Overall I think it's a pretty fun tree and has a lot of super strong stuff in it bonus-wise. But obviously the story and how it's written is just abysmal beyond belief, clearly the author's self insert
Mechanically I think Love is a fun idea but to spend it you need to move your special mercs into a province, why they didn't give it a province button instead just baffles me, a LOT of micromanagement if you want to spread all three bonuses around.
If you want a casual world conquest tag this might honestly be great for it as you can make every province basically free to have as a core and get about -1.2 autonomy per month in provinces and can just press a button to delete devastation.
If you play in mp a lot having a couple beers while playing this nation and shooting the shit with the boys, while ignoring the story is probably the best way to experience it. The region was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
>>2420245 Poetry is based and straight, just not whatever these devs have written. It's like their entire understanding of poetry is just "it rhymes", while having no idea what meter or structure or rhyme schemes are. Every "poem" is just some amount of 4-line stanzas with an ABAB rhyming scheme and with no regards to meter. This is as generic and amateurish as you can get. Imagine if, among the descriptions and events and whatnot, there were sonnets, terza rima, limericks, haikus, fucking blank verse, literally anything that isn't 4-line ABAB. I know there's a few translation/localisation projects for Anbennar out there, I feel bad for whoever has to read this and try to convey the "artistic mastery" of the devs to their native language.
>>2420707 Ah yeah I forgot to mention, their flag is a seahorse which I'm sure everyone involved in the tag thought was great. Seahorse males carry the babies for their species if you weren't aware. But funnily enough since the leader is a mtf that means their goal would be masculine by the flag which amused me some.
But yeah do NOT play anything written by this person for the story
>>2420710 Nah anon it's worse than that the scheme is ABCB, the only time it's ABAB is when they accidently fuck up, something that back in school I was docked a grade on.
But yeah the idea of everything being written as a poem for this nation is great but the writer just failed so hard. This would be a wonderful nation to include various poetic styles with to really show the various cultures off but it just doesn't do that.
Ironically Iochand a nation released this same update does a better job at including poetry, every mission is written as a scene taken from various plays put on in the nation.
>>2420720 It is not the big special magic project for this nation is making it so all the various races and genders can interbreed.
Couldn't tell you what the actual bonuses for it are as the ability to do it is locked behind finding every tale of love. Which you'd have to wait to unlock artificers and for the stormwall to go down, so quite a late game thing. My playthrough finished in the year 1540
>>2420725 As a degenerate tranny myself I quite like the idea of playing the country just based on the concept but I can't deny that the poetry writing looks atrociously bad and that really kills any enjoyment I would have reading the story, sad.
>>2420731 I don't mind trans individuals personally, I think there's probably a lot of catharsis to find in some of the topics that are brought up in the nation if you are. But really it's just not for me story wise at all, that said gameplay wise it was pretty great, lotta fun would recommend.
>>2420725 I was just about to reply to myself about that kek. I think I wrote ABAB because I had just read >>2420664, where the first stanza's 1st and 3rd lines rhyme in Received Pronunciation (and probably some other accents too). >>2420179 The 2nd and 4th lines in the third stanza are the exact same, not just the word love. My guess is that the writer heard somewhere that "repetition is poetry is good" without actually understanding what makes it good or how to implement it well. Would've worked better if you had, for example, every stanza but the last one end in "Is that not an expression of love", and then the last one would have some sort of conclusion. But again, this would require the writer to have more knowledge about poetry than just "uhh it rhymes".
>>2420743 I understand this "writing" is pretty abysmal but the way I see it, it's some random american zoomer trying their hand at "poetry". Yes, this is extremely poor and retarded and gay, but this conundrum doesn't really evoke any strong feelings in me, who cares what the retards do?
>>2420907 >OH. MY. ARTIFICERY..! LELANAN! So overjoyed I have a tag to calm me down during my taxing dilation sessions. When I saw the mission tree I did a cute little trans womxn happy wiggle in my gamer chair *hehe* but uhm.... sweatie...? Wex, Gawed??? REALLY? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW!!!! Get this bigoted /POL/shit off my trans affirming mod this fucking instant. The chud fanbase of these nations are not welcome here! We need to do better as a github, albeit as a community. I am literally shacking right now because of this egregious act of violence. The powerful trans kobold womxn and xirs allies have a simple message: STOP KILLING US!!!!
>>2420797 We should expect more quality from the mod and rightfully mock bad writing. Shitty gay poems shouldn't get past all that "quality control" bureaucracy and yet, they do.

>>2421440 No, the mission trees are basically a shittier version of Mykx and they all share the same generic MT with only three of the missions on the lefthand side changing based off which one of them you play.
>>2422036 What did you expect? You are playing a homo gay republic that usurps the rightful place of the magocracy so of course they champion degeneracy.
>>2422138 They'd be a great casual world conquest tag honestly. Lots of pretty decent bonuses for it, They don't have a ton of military bonuses but their special paladin units could probably do most of the heavy lifting
>>2422215 Most of the harpies are pretty good. The two non standard ones I'd suggest are
Vaenghiem: Basically Valkyries, gotta win 300 fights total to finish the mission tree. Super interesting bonuses. You end up reviving tons of ancient dead cultures. Everything in written in the style of a norse saga too.
Duwarkani: It's a harpy nation right in the center of africa with human cav. It's a hard start but a lotta fun becoming the steward of the sorrow and fighting the trolls. My advice is to trick the trolls into decking on you early and hard focus on killing them before they become a massive threat.
>>2422229 Thanks! >Vaenghiem Currently doing this, but it seems the war you're supposed to get where you take the subject and fight their former masters never actually happens that way. Now the trolls got annexed before I got to the mission that requires them as vassals, but I guess I can do it by releasing them?
>>2422337 Yeah just release them, the majority of anbennar trees are actually very good about having alternative conditions to fulfill them in scenarios like that.
I forget if the tree has an expansion but just a heads up you'll be expected to colonize the northern colonial region in alenar so try to get that one island that's in the north sea (far island I think?)
Beside that you're in-between a lot of religious groups so you should almost always be at war since AE doesn't go across religious groups that much
Can magic cure aids? Is that why there's so many gays in anbennar? >aids came from bestiality People have sex with orcs, harimari, lizards, and gnolls.
>>2422675 It's got a mechanic to make it basically useless to people outside of the region til later into the game. Forbidden plains kinda sucks cause the lake federation is full of opms that hyper dev it and then combine into a mega state at some random point.
>>2422475 Do Konolhatep >>2422663 They're working on that because the new continent is basically Forbidden Plains 2.0 >>2422675 >Extremely isolated region of the game that practically nobody interactss with and which itself never interacts with the outside world... until like 150 years into the game when the Lake Federation unites and instantly becomes a great power with 100k troops
>>2423368 There should be some, I'd recommend the monument series by the guy with the rei picture, they're fairly balanced and spread out around the world (just adds nice flavor more than anything to be honest) Don't bother with the lizard one by another guy, they're insanely unbalanced
>>2423396 >>2423481 I removed all mods except visuals and trade goods expanded for anbennar but nothing. I reckon there should be some green provinces in this area.
