You get Bianca and Alisa at the start of DLC1 (White Lion and Black Witch), after the end of the base game
>>2420219
Leton joins at the end of chapter 5, chapter 6 is the end of the base game and the start of DLC1, chapter 7 is entirely DLC1, and chapter 8 is entirely DLC2 (Crimson Crow).
Chapter 6 goes by pretty quickly since it's mostly solo or small group missions that are story-focused.

I will not stand for this slander of such a righteous and mighty individual. Leton is the most loyal and honorable character in the entire game, every decision he makes is based around what would be best for his friends. It's not really his fault that he was put in a no win scenario where his best option in life was becoming a special ops agent for the corrupt Valhalla government.
If anything I feel like the character that really falls apart in this game is Ray, Heixing isdying of the heart transplantand all Ray can think about is quitting her association with her supposed family and spending time with her friends, while Leton is desperately searching for ways to save him.

>>2420288
Ray never really asks or presses Heixing on his past and mostly just feels sorry for herself when she honestly has had it better than any of the other Alley kids, and then just goes back to her new circle of friends and leaves Carter to Leton and Heixing. Honestly feels like she's being written out of the storyline entirely with how they're handling her by the end of Crimson Crow. She has no real connection to any of the major story beats outside of her Alley connection and even that connection is more or less gone by the end of the first game with that story thread 100% focusing on Carter, Leton and Heixing. Even Turk and Na'am seem more relevant than her.

unlikely
The incel epidemic, gender wars, and hypergamy are 10x worse over there than in the west and the devs are probably all at least in their mid-to-late 30s at this point
also I would find it hard to self-insert as any character that isn't Albus so I wouldn't really care much for romance in BC

>surely they all made some decent money since then
They already had to delay work on the sequel once already to make a second DLC and all the outfit packs so they could get the funds to continue their work on Banished Children.

A lot of people do. I think that anon is just extrapolating his own experience. In joint drills Heixing's class split is about 60/40 Ranger/Sweeper. They're both unfair classes at max capacity, and Sweeping Fire go brr

>t. freeze nade abuser
the 3 Alley boys really make a point of not telling Ray anything, then Kylie does the same, then dandy write her out of the plot so we won't even get a qt gyaru grenadier in the sequel
it's not fair reeeeee

>>2420287
Dandy has a rather unique artstyle but idk what the fuck they were smoking when they came up with leton's design. Ever since I got all the costumes I keep him on the secret agent skin 24/7 because his default is so ugly.

I've been running Bloody Berserker this playthrough for the absolute memery of it. It's pretty scary to tard wrangle him, but despite the nail-biting fear whenever it triggers, he's actually not that bad. I just wish it would use Tornado Slash and not prioritise Gale Slash so much. But on the other hand, he aims Gale Slash pretty well for multikills so it's not usually a waste.

BB is surprisingly good, pic rel is my end game setup I used to solo 58V. Not really too different from yours since it looks like you also found the Second Wind synergy.
>>
>>2420592
Yeah, I pretty much always run Second Wind on Albus and Bianca. It gives way too much survivability for four individually useful masteries. Haven't thought much beyond that. I may swap out Phys Res 2 for Metallic Muscle Armor later once I get Steel Armor, but that leaves him terribly exposed to ESP compared to Final Resistance, and FR is only 2 more Defence slots with my board which is attainable once I get the Human masteries.
>>
>>2420595
You will definitely need to spec into crit damage reduction. BB Albus only ever dies to a fat crit otherwise the guy can eat most attacks and be fine. Draki's perfect scale is the only accessory you will need for the DLCs on him. Also something that isn't relevant for the build early but is relevant later is giving him a shitty sword instead of a good one. The rampage buff will lead to him 1 shotting everything instead of attacking -> bladestorm followup to trigger all the bonus effects from killing enemies with bleed. Eluote from Ralph becomes the best sword for a BB build because the crazy block bonuses it gives helps to reduce enemy crit chance and the shitty attack damage doesn't matter.
>>
>>
>>2420617
Oh one other thing; rampage AI is fucking retarded and its always worth it to drop any ranged abilities. If you don't the AI will waste turns doing ranged attacks against enemies in full cover a mile away.

I wish Martial Artist Leton had 2 basic ability slots so I could run both Taunt and his basic attack for a counter build. Taunt seems like the best way to keep counterattack worthwhile in late game, and MA gets the best counterattack damage. I know White Knight can make good use of both taunt and counterattack, but theirs is a lot more situational.
Maybe if we got the Tier 3 classes, then Action Star or Battlemaster would be perfect for that.

WELCOME TO MY STEIJI
Counterattack on Leton is still pretty useful because enemy aggro prioritises units who have attacked a lot, and he has inbuilt Clenched Fist so he won't be taking Retaliation counters. He also suppresses for 40 AT with his punch so enemies won't get many repeat turns against him even if they dogpile him.

Took screenshots to show a friend various moments of this map and realised it shows a pretty nice progression in just a few screenshots
Establishing shot, I picked Heixing bro because Sweeper obliterates this map

Shooting Anne in the head. She's a White Mage but she's Earth-based so she doesn't have Impulse Fields. Most enemies don't have this kind of firepower yet, and Anne usually has SP giving her block. Sand Castle already got broken via Sweeping Fire.

Albus was pretty fucking annoying. Just like with the White Tiger Snipers earlier, Giselle could only do 1 damage to him with Fire Support, and even with full Still Stance she couldn't end him in 1 turn until he went into Second Wind about eight or nine times.
Frogge was my intended distraction, but my frog missed its Forestallment

Does the Asia server actually have a more active PvP scene than the NA and EU servers?
Posts in previous threads talk about Asia PvP teams like they're a lot crazier than teams in western servers. I might start a save over there if so.

I'm not far enough along to have it unlocked on this file yet, but there have been a lot of social people in town, and in the past I've had random PVP requests from people as I was loading in. Either way, the joint drills here are usually pretty spicy which is fun for messing around postgame.

sounds like what I was looking for, will I be able to communicate with Asia players with just English?

There are tons of small terrain errors like that throughout the game. Cover, pathing and even walls seem to be manually set instead of auto generated. There are also a bunch of places you can get out of bounds with Wind Walk or other movement skills because of how sloppy Dandylion can be with their map barriers.

The tanky stats on the legendary Drifter Clowns equipment is nice but I find it hard to pass up on some of the bonuses other shoes give, like the cast delay reduction from black iron leather shoes or the still stance enemy block reduction from mungo hide shoes.
I like Wei's shoes on ranger Heixing though, he can dash to a position with cover and get both an attack with Resistance Shot and the -10 AT from the bonus effect, it gives him extremely fast turns.

They got nerfed indirectly because everyone's boards have 2 extra slots from Crimson Crow's board expansions that the previously maxed clowns don't make use of. I still find them pretty strong on replays when I skip most of the optional cases, but they're not unreasonable.

Chain effects are something I really hope they rework or expand on in BC. I've posted about it before in a previous thread but I think it would be nice if different status effects would interact with each other, like enemies with wet and shocked would also get stunned or get an upgraded shocked effect.
>>2422957
I started playing last year and got honked pretty hard my first time in DLC1, though only in the later missions. The way some people were complaining about the clowns judging by forum posts was like they couldn't even get past the night market. I guess that's to be expected since it's still a pretty big difficulty spike even if you're prepared for it. Destrons, the unique bicrons, and the dusk rangers was what really fucked me up in DLC1, though.
>>2423010
I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to buy the lowest tier then craft them all up into the higher tiers (or just let auto-crafting handle it when making gear), assuming you can do that with draki hearts. It works like that for most other materials.

>>2423020
You're right, it's 3 Draki Hearts and a Flame Crystal (1508 vil) for a Whole Draki's Heart so it's about a 1600 vil discount to craft it myself. Meh, that's not such a big deal.

>Chain effects are something I really hope they rework or expand on in BC. I've posted about it before in a previous thread but I think it would be nice if different status effects would interact with each other
They already nailed that with field effects imo. Little details like knockback working better on ice tiles, lightning attacks hitting harder on water tiles and all of the synergies with lava tiles makes for fun interactive maps.
It's also true though that a lot of those synergies are very rare due to the map design prioritizing metropolitan areas.

I love Skilled Military Strategist. I'm certain the reason Kylie almost starts with the full set equipped + The Expert is so she can feed people AT with wind grenades like this
