Has she ever explained if she is powered by fossil fuels and she had to release C02 from her doll asshole or something? This is the most immersion breaking thing in all of hololive for me.

I'll be honest, I always assumed she was just pretending to be an automaton and wasn't actually one in real life. There are far too many inconsistencies for it to make any sense otherwise. And if this is shocking news to you, I'm sorry you had to find out this way.

Automaton heavily implies she is powered/animated by clockwork, hence the key to wind them up.That being said, it wasn't unheard of for them to also use compressed air, especially to play instruments. So, in such cases a pressure release valve could also be added and would be a wise choice to prevent damage in case of overpressure, which is likely what happened in the event you're referring to.
