Nyaru's tf2 content sucks.
First of all she mostly plays sniper, a class that sucks to stream since you have to focus on talking and aiming.
Second, server's map choices are big chungus reddit tier mod maps that are the equivalent of key jingling. Most people just wanna play vanilla.If you are playing that shit regularly take for sure your average player won't join the game.
Third, she barely engages with the game and most of her talk goes to something completely different. Your average tf2 chud doesn't give a shit if a mass graduation happened at Cover or you are feeling lonely because a whore is treating you like a whore.

tl;dr: The stream doesn't feature good gameplay, the streamer is too focused on doing a pity party than actually engaging with the game. Game too overcensored that takes away the community aspect of tf2, one of its strongest appeals.

I like watching TF2 and would love if more vtubers I'm interested in stream it, but to be honest I didn't enjoy watching her play TF2 at all in the past. It's essentially a zatsudan, there may as well have been random TF2 gameplay in the background while she walked around and tried to shoot something once in a while.
The ingame name and chat hiding is also a little too far. It doesn't seem like something that would even matter to a viewer, but the more I watched the more I felt like I was missing out on way too much info, like showing the blank kill feed in the corner was just distracting and pointless.
Maybe if she paid more attention to the game and played a class that could at least interact with the team I would consider watching again.

Sure she gotten some nice stuff out of it and thats probably a big motivator for her to keep being on the app but of course IRIAM does that, she brings in an audience that would otherwise not even be there and in return Nyaru pays by having her own donations cut way deeper than if she just got them via streamlabs
meanwhile IRIAM is USA only so you are cutting off all your fans that aren't from there, its also a stupid phone app thats super lurker unfriendly so you also lose anyone that is not gonna be interested in that and in return all there is are a bunch of tiktok kiddies that could not be further away from Nyaru's core audience and content and a bunch of 1views as potential collab partners
and the argument that its just the occasional stream that you could be fine with missing and just keep watching the other streams is also faulty because Nyaru pushes for IRIAM so much that it more than halved her streams on other platforms and last year there was a point where she streamed more there than on all other platforms put together

another thing is honestly that her 2.0 model is super uncanny, it looks nice in of itself, sure, but its cutesly and it just does not fit her at all when she herself is the cool and sexy type and very unhinged which leads to her 2.0 model clashing super hard with herself and picrel is a good example of how that face just does not work with the sexy kind
its just very offputting and you can see that many seem to feel that way considering her NSFW tag essentially is dead since the new model, when before she got art there regularly and even her normal art tag went from a variety of regular art to less and only really in the doodle style or very stylized away from how her model actually looks
i get that women always have this innate desire to be considered cute but in this case it feels like she vastly misunderstood what her own appeal really was and being visually appealing is just very important for your model as vtuber

the last thing is that her own ADHD interest swapping can make her come off as a bit fake and desperate to trendchase, she was at the core of /choc/ but then just fully dropped that, then she is super into TCG but that then kinda died, she teases Rplay and dropped that, she jumped on the AI art thing early on but then dropped that pretty much fully
now it seems to be sport and i bet by the end of the year thats not gonna matter anymore either
and its fine to try and test things but if you came to her due to any one thing and then thats gone then i get how those same viewers then slowly vanish again and with her that just can happen very fast
