>>112456789 If you've been following her discord and Twitter at all she's been spending a lot of time taking care of her family affairs in addition to having a pretty major surgery. They also just had a trip to ohio, maybe scouting new places to live or getting medical treatment. She has only streamed a couple times since leaving 3am. I really believe she's just taking care of shit at home and it's not that deep.
Oh Meat is doing a watchalong of Iron Lung in a few days. I watched it last night and it was pretty alright, I feel like it would've definitely benefited from being 15 minutes shorter or so because there was a decent amount of repetitive scenes and dialogues. I'm kinda curious what she'll think of the film.
It's kind of touching really that she cares enough to mourn her fans, even if they weren't as active. She recognized gis name and his contributions to the community and that was enough. Coqui isn't just parasocial, she really cares. She has said before if you go inactive for a few months she'll search for your socials to see if you're still alive. She's such a sweet girl. I want to do everything I can to make her happy. Vtubing is through the Internet but we can have real connections sometimes.
I was listening to Snuffy talk about her thoughts and goals during the drunk forza stream and I just hope she doesn't spread herself too thin. It was a little sad to hear her talking about her prime being in the past. It's really just a matter of perspective. Her raid retention is insane, indicating she's really punching below her weight at her current stream size. If she streams more she'll grow again and her community will grow and have renewed energy and humor, if that's something important to her.
Con and event plans are great but they're not really core to what she does. And stuff like learning a second language is great but definitely not necessary professionally or for moving outside the US. Like just do a little duolingo each day but don't make it a focus. Most learning comes from immersion once you move, and everybody speaks english anyway. It can be easy to focus on tangential stuff if there is difficulty getting back into a groove with streaming I think. I think it might be useful to her to brain dump a list of all the things she's thinking to do, then be so ruthless and so pragmatic in crossing off everything that isn't actually core and necessary to the minimum viable functional version of her vision. Then mark stuff that is lower priority. Then circle and take what's left into a separate list of what to actually throw all her energy at. The low prio stuff can be done on the side when she's lower energy or needs variety or a break, as a treat.
Anyway I hope Snuffy can just find a specific direction and start building forward momentum and realizing her vision bit by bit and we get to see her succeed. Sorry for the wall of text.
>>112463187 She was definitely just talking about her numbers, by which metric yeah, she's "fallen off" But a lot of that has to do with how spotty her streaming has been. Inconsistency almost universally drops viewership. Fang is in the same boat; she'd be pulling much higher CCV if she could just stream more often. But both of them manage to retain a really good portion of that potential viewership despite the absences (and in Snuffy's case, going live without virtually any advance notice), which is a testament to how good they are.

Dude vtubers get so fucking menhera about special events and cons and music and shit. Conventions don't bring new viewers, they exist to retain old ones and for networking. Snuffy is already networked. New models and outfits barely bring new viewers, it's not 2021. Look at saruei. She's been pouring hours into tech projects and it just hasnt yielded anything for numbers. To roughly quote Meat: "John v Vod watcher doesn't want a bunch of new models, John Vodwatcher wants a consistent fucking streamer." Nothing drives away your audience more than lethargy and absence. People will swear up and down they will kamioshi you forever and ever, but if you turn into a ghost you see that fail rather quickly. How long will your average vtuber fan Kamioshi someone who hasn't streamed in 3 months? 6? She's been relatively inactive for over two years now. People are tired of waiting for snuffy streams. She has no schedule and streams at random times and doesn't even announce them ahead of time. Just. Fucking. Stream. They really overthink this shit.

As much as it upsets that one schizo to see her doing things with doki, the reason why she winds up doing events or collabs that doki runs is because doki is pretty assertive and proactive about planning things, she makes it clear that her time is valuable. Alternatively, if meat and snuffy have something planned and snuffy gets stricken with a case of 'not really feeling up for it today', meat is just going to say ok i love you kiss kiss and the plans get shelved forever.
