You say this as if Pripara was able to MAINTAIN that full cast for that full 4-season + 1 OVA run. For the main 3 seasons, everyone besides Solami dressing constantly got swapped out for each other (i.e., Falulu leaving at the end of season one so the first few episodes of season 2 can be all about Aromageddon, only for them to be put to the side once Fuwari was introduced, or everyone pretty much being put to the side so that Nonsugar + Janice could be the main characters for a good chunk of season 3) and come Idol time, the first cour pretty much did a full cast wipe sans Laala. I get being disappointed that the characters introduced in Himitsu season 2 won't get any more fleshing out (even though I believe that they did a great job with pretty much everyone), or we won't really see how a Mii-less Himari would develop as a character, but doing cast-wipes between seasons is by no means a new or unprecedented scene that shows how Himitsu uniquely fails

It's not easy when you became so attached to the characters and now it's hard to see them go.

Many took for granted the status quo of things would be preserved, but big mistake, we never knew this was going to be the new direction the series was going to have.

As much I would like this one to be true, Non Sugar was completely overshadowed by the rest of cast in their own season. S3 was also intended to conclude Pripara story and their characters, and the way Non, Chili and Pepper were treated ended feeling secondary and we just got not enough of them at all...
Unironically though, that's my feeling with how Himitsu is ending. Because Tsumugi, for example, took 75 episodes to finally be written as a main character and now we're already ending it suddenly. While QuaStar and the rest are intended to be support characters from start and this way they remained.

yeah i used to not care about this until i listened to go go gorgeous and realized they could've done so much more with chili's character and that we were robbed of what could've potentially been one of the best ojou-samas ever and instead got a $3 gag and no solo performance
in generally i prefer prichan to pripara these days because it has more equal focus on its characters so characters i like don't really get shafted

Asked myself if AiPri felt special because the characters had charisma or because it pulled everyone out of mascot hell, the truth is I'm gonna miss Himari-chan, Mitsuki-chan, Tsumugi-chan, Chii-chan, Vivi-chan, Rinrin-chan, so many more... even if they all do show up, it won't be a story about them anymore, just another passing the baton thing, but hey what can you do? No, no cry more?
We had pretty good memes too, for example: ainon ominously predicting some events, obake, yandere mii, NAKAYOSHI, certain lyrics, etc. All things considered, I look forward working with mostly everyone once again.
