Just watched Maquia not long ago.
This shit really made me sob like a bitch, watching Ariel's life go from a baby, to a boy, to a young adult, to a grown ass man that goes to war and gets a family, to an old man in his death bed. There were some women logic moments that were shit, but i understand that same woman was very much disturbed and insane from being raped, forced to concive a child, then not being allowed to even meet the child even thou she wanted to and the child wanted to meet her.
And Maquia was cute in a sort of disturbing way. She doesn't idea on how to be a mom, but has an overall idea on how to do some things.
I liked it. This shit was beautiful, and rarely discussed anywhere.

i didnt like it, it was messy. It was a long story compressed into a movie, I didnt understood the point of the crazy guy and that princess and her child. Maquia and the guy deserved more development, same with the general worldbuilding; I wanted to see more of the cgi dragons. The ending felt a little forced, i hate those "and now you cry" endings. The movie has potential and I loved the first 10 min. but it wasnt very good. Wolf children is a way better motherhood movie
