This shit is so bad I couldn't even get past the 3rd episode. OPMC is the worst trope ever and anyone who likes it is probably an utter loser in real life, why else would anyone want to watch something with absolutely no stakes or character development?

I watched the first season, I thought it was just okay but I don't think it would get any betterfrom what I understand, if the same jokes are repeated throughout the series
>MC is OP
>MC is also emotionless (sort of?)
>(virgin) succubus wants to fuck him but it will never happen
and it seems they end up a lot of unintentional damage.

First season was okay. Not great, but far better than the rest of what they shit out afterwards. Unfortunately the story never goes anywhere and nothing interesting happens. The author is literally a bitter wagie who used it as an outlet for revenge fantasy against personality archetypes he feels inferior to, which is basically anything with empathy.

I want to eventually force myself to watch it because of Albedo and I like Isekai Quartet. But I think I watched two episodes and they were so boring.
>i'm stuck in a game with npcs and i've maxed out everything
ok now what? How does anything even happen from there? I mean obviously shit happens if there are four seasons but it felt like a very boring premise

So let me get this straight. OP MC is bad because... somehow being OP means there are no stakes because 100% of excitement is derived from the danger of losing? Or how else can this be interpreted.
And on the other hand an MC being "competitive" or an "underdog" for the 99999999999th time in the exact same kind of character arc that has been cone countless of times before is exciting?
No, anon, you really need to explain how this works.

It got old by the end of season 1 and I didn't last long in season 2. Didn't the author of the LN have to soft reboot things because he had no idea how to actually move the story?
This was the first indication for me of how sick I am of these le videogame-logic type of anime

every MC is OP, but when every challenge is met with smug indifference, what is the point? where is the struggle and character development? if everything is easy where is the merit for overcoming this or that obstacle? as another anon said, Mary and Gary Sus are gay and cancer and indicative of terrible writing.

No. Struggle and adversity is merely the cheapest most generic "fuel for character growth" there is. But also the most overused and boring kind. You equalizing this cheapest way to be the ONLY way is just proof of your severe media illiteracy.

Why does everyone go into this like its a shonin? Its about the slow-burn politics and development of the characters plans and position as a leader.
Hell the struggles come more from the other characters cause we're seeing through the POV of the villain in a lot of ways.
