Memes aside, they need to either change directors, or give him a significantly larger budget. I love the IP I've been reading it forever and watched the whole thing, overall it was just a disappointing adaptation. I liked the manga version much better. I don't know which one is more true to the LNs but the order of events are slightly different and I think it flows better in the manga. e.g. in the anime Kinko's attempt to sacrifice herself occurs after hearing about the amputation strategy, whereas it's presented as the solution to the predicament in the manga. And the manga pages framed dramatic moments well whereas the anime kinda skimmed over them.

Still, it's nice to hear Carl's voice.
